Particularly for #music-ers. I go /me is now playing Artist - Title.

Artist - Title. The opposition is simply wrong.

In my music library it's Artist - Title but in #music it's Track by Artist (Album).

Artist - Title, of course. I'm not a hobo.

Title -- Artist


That's how my music archives are set up.

/me [artist] . [album] . [title] *

I've always liked it more, better organisation perhaps?

Title - Artist. The first thing I want to know is the song, not the artist.

[Title] [Length] [Artist] [Album] [Genre] [Play Count]

Currently I have AMIP displaying songs like Title - Artist - Album [track time / x kbps / x kHz].

So, title then artist.

/me is now listening to: Artist - Title

I care more about the song. Title - Artist.

Title - Artist

When you announce what you're listening to, you're announcing a song. That's the center of your announcement, and should come first accordingly.

EDIT: But yes, if you're announcing the album, the same logic applies, with Artist - Title.

Artist - Title. It's more easy to remember artist names than names of the tracks.

Artist - Title (Album). I want to know first and foremost who the artist is, because I don't memorize song names. Album would logically be next, actually, but I'm not southpaw.

Why is "Title - Artist" winning? I didn't realize the Metanet Forums had such a bunch of freaks.

<Techno> Also, I have noticed that, even though my media player is Title - Artist, my eyes follow the middle column (Artist) when scrolling
