some other famous person died on the same day as jackson, but no one will remember/even notice as the king is dead, who's next in line for the throne

Farrah Fawcett had a reasonably important acting career, as far as I know...

Farrah Fawcett? She was plenty noticed, particularly in the lead-up to her death because she was terminally ill. Beyond him being such a phenomenal figure, Michael Jackson's death was sudden and unexpected.

Indeed. At one point, she was the #1 pin-up for teens.
