Ever since I reinstalled windows I've had this issue with my DVD drive. The first time I put any disc in it comes up with this.

And that's my dawn of war 2 disc.

If you've just reinstalled and are now having problems, I would suggest another wipe and reinstall.

If that drive came with any extra drivers, of course, you'll need to reinstall those. Alternatively, you can perform a system file check (get the the admin command prompt and type "sfc /scannow") and see if that fixes anything up. Will the drive actually burn a blank CD or DVD? Will other programs recognize the disk as having data?

Don't reinstall just because of a DVD drive issue. Search on the DVD drive's website for drivers and/or updated firmware. Find your DVD drive's model # by taking it out of your case and it's usually on one of the sides. Write it down, put it back, then search.
