I use opera on this computer, so I haven't tried it out yet, but I will soon.

Works fine for me. It's a speedy little thing. For some reason Internet Explorer 7 takes about 100 times longer to load than Firefox (sadly, that's NOT an exaggeration. It's really quite sad. FF loads google almost instantly even when I clear it's cache. IE7 spends 10 seconds doing nothing before it appears. IE6 never did that... I blame Vista, since it's been the source of all my other problems. =D EDIT: It only appears to do it on my 2 computers with Vista. I KNEW IT!

There's not too much of a difference for me right now, as Firefox is already pretty fast.
But I'll wait it out, see if there are any drastic improvements.

Different computers for different people. Different programs for different people. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. Please, please can we be satisfied with our configurations?

FF3 is a bit slow, but I didn't understand Steps 2-x of that, so I'll just go with my new user configuration!

Yeah. Firefox 3 is really slow for me and its giving me problems. I cannot download or update any addons that I was fine with in Firefox 2 (no problems with compatability), if I tell it to do an update, it will go into indefinite waiting which uses up 100% of my CPU from doing absolutely nothing. The Mozilla website tells me to disable my firewall and such to see what happens. . .
I have typed in the about:config thing to change the settings manually because I couldn't find anything in the Options, set all updating and downloading things to 'true' and it still does nothing.
Maybe there's a 'stop all updates' box. . .
I've also had problems with it (for no apparent reason) using 100% CPU and crashing itself, when it normally uses around 10%.
Firefox 3 also made NUMA hard to use (the map data textbox is taken up almost entirely by the scroll-bar)

Anyhow, I've switched to Chrome. Which is awesome.

If you are running 2 because of a small extension it's pointless. It is nowhere near as secure as 3 now and will not get any further updates to protect it.

Also don't stuff Firefox full of Addons, that makes it slower.

It's fine for me though.
