I have a dv6000 laptop from HP and i recently updated QuickPlay. in doing so the drivers for teh webcam seemingly dissapeared. i went on to ask HP in a chat session with a rep from HP and she told me to run a certain proxy driver, which i did...didnt help. (i then looked at what she had given me and it was for the wrong computer) but then she told me that i needed to update BIOS, so i did that. no change. so i then went to Best Buys geek squad site, and did an IM chat session there as well, and they told me that they could remotly get me the drivers to my computer with a charge of....(drum roll) a highway robbing price of $45.99. i said okay no thank you.

i know theres a way to get the drivers back on but how do i get them?

any ideas?

Heh, I have the same laptop. Highfive! The link sidke gave you is for xp. If you have vista, like me, try this one -

well i tried the patch, for the drivers and it didn't make any difference. it may need to be reinstalled, what does your computer show for the program of it. i have many abbreviated programs on this one so i may not have gotten the program fully installed.
