I want to convert 9 Sonic symbols in separate frames to a movie clip, and I have no idea how to do that. I'd like some help.

Do you have Flash (i.e., the program, not just Flash Player)?

It certainly sounds like he does. I haven't got much experience in Flash, but: you might have to create the movie clip and copy & paste each frame into that. I don't know if there's an automatic way to import multiple frames.

If you need help from scratch:
1) draw a box
2) right-click -> convert to symbol, choose movie clip
3) double-click the box and delete it from inside
4) in the timeline, select the first 9 frames and press F6
5) in each one, copy-paste one of your frames. Use right-click -> paste in place to get it all lined up properly, or use onion skins (button in the timeline)
Sorry if this isn't what you want/you were looking for automation

When converting and positioning things in Flash, Ctrl+V (paste in centre of screen- though it's off by a a few tenths of a pixel usually) and Ctrl+Shift+V (paste in place ie. wherever you copied the thing from, put it at the same co-ordinates) are your friend.
Also, editing multiple layers and Onion skinning are REALLY usefull.
