Begin Phase 2. Submit maps to the MoA site(moa.therealn.com) People with more than 10 maps in the pack are on Halt.
Pack renamed "Memoirs"

I create this Pack with the Hope that we can leave behind a memory, an example, of the authors of olde, and pave the path for future generations to come.
this is:

The Memior of the Ancients. (MOA)

MOA will work like this: First, will be a recruiting period, where we recruit for a month, or we have 50 members join. (whichever comes first.)

After the recruiting period, will be the creation period, where we will craft episodes for the map pack (00-99) each episode will be 5 levels each. At best conditions, we will have twenty submitted maps per authors.

The last stage of the Map pack: ordering and placing the levels. (simple enough)

Uncompletable maps will be part of a bonus section IF there are enough.
Uncompletable levels are: DDAs, Survivals, N-arts, and Tilesets.
Yeah, not anytime soon.

Level requirements:
1) Levels MUST be the BEST that the author can do. (please, no five minute maps! nah, awesome 5 minute maps are cool.)
2) Levels should(must) be completable.
3) The levels submitted by the one author should be unique.
4) You are NOT allowed to submit levels from NUMA
5) Levels from MoA should NOT be submitted to NUMA. (Rejected maps are O.K.)
List of participants- (each will make twenty maps.)

The amount of judges will be decided at my whim.

  1. ChaoStar (founder, judge)
  2. KlanKaos (second in command?, Supreme Bitch, judge)
  3. Sidke (webmaster of the MotA site.)

hehe nice idea. i'll join. i was working on a mappack; i have only about 3 episodes finished. i'm fairly proud of most of them. can i submit them for the pack? or do the levels have to be created during the creation period?

also, why do they have to be completable?

well, of course you can submit them, if you feel proud of them. the uncompletables will be submitted in a bonus part.

This sounds amazing. are we aloud to submit collabs? i have one, perhaps you know of it, that i would love to submit to MOA.

what are the deadlines for map submission. if there needs to be 5 from each author, i'll want to know when to have em done by.

and so it goes, and so it goes, and so will you soon i suppose.

Well, you can submit collabs, (make sure you give credit.) also, the time limit will vary, because if we get less than 100 people, we will have to make more than five maps each.

good point. i was thinking collabs could go in a bonus section along with the uncompletables and whatnot. you could probably throw in ddas too.

Oh! I should define uncompletables... Uncompletables are: DDAs, Survivals, and N-arts.

Sounds like an amazing idea. I'm in. I've been working on several maps (like 7) for about 2 weeks now, and I think they are some of my best. I will continue to work on them and others, and hope to be able to contribute something worthy to this inspiring project.

oh, well, if incompletable is survival, art, dda, then that's fine. i was just thinking that pretentiousness can sometimes lead to incompletable, but still fun and valid maps. and we should include those. anyway, is there a limit to number of maps submitted per author?

I posit that you should only accept mapmakers who have been around for a while, as suggested by the topic title. I would love to be included, by the way, if we have some time to get our maps together.

i agree with this idea because we wont want new members to muck up, so to speak, older, more experienced members work. i dont know how you would reinforce this idea, though. maybe a 100 maps minimum or 60 rated maps minimum or something like that :/

Of course! I'll do my best in making the maps of my most potential! :D I just need to know a due date, because I don't know if, starting next week, I'll have alot of time to do anything outside school+work, so I'll have to manage during weekends, but I'll definately be a part of this, thanks for the offer :D

Sixty rated maps sounds like a bit much. I mean, I'd consider myself a fairly experienced mapper, and I think I've got enough skill to work on this, but I've only got forty (thirty-nine?) maps and eleven or twelve rated. But only two of my rateds are rated lower than four, so if I can, I'd love to be in on it.

Alright, here's what we could do if newer people want to join (>60 maps) someone, (me or somebody else) will pop over to their maps, and judge the quality of their maps.

EDIT- KlanKaos is definitely in.

Yeah, I'd like to join if that was cool. I've got plenty of maps sitting in a txt document doing nothing, so count me in.

Also, subtle hint. We need more ancients.
