Hi! I've been creating this for some time. It was on Forumer's forum, members were sharing ideas, Lightning55 even created two of them, so I expect you keep going with help. This map-pack is about creating maps that are some kind of sport, or precisely, NSport, and we get then records. It's always in progress, as long as there are ideas for new maps.

Post your records here.

Well, it's just a survival with spammed enemies; doesn't look like olympics.

Well, that's why I need a new one.

BTW I forgot to say that there are some changes from the last version that was on old forum.

The survival is indefinitely long, that needs to be changed. b_t is the best in the biz, don't know if he will help though.

I don't get the point of the archery

chimney jumping is fine, even if a little cheap.

Long Jump is far too unprecise for measuring

In the bouncing with a triple jump I could reach the other side without touching the ground

I really don't like the high jump, the flinging idea is very badly done and has nothing to do with jumping. all you needed was two walls to wall jump off, or even just one wall would have done fine. there is an optimum point about halfway through the jump which you will reach the highest point off. then just have z snapped one-ways to land on, instead of gold.

The hurdles are fine, but they should double back on themselves to get more variations in the scores. Otherwise, you'll get scores of about 240 frames and thats it. maybe have launchpads or mines instead of a ceiling

Thwump riding is perfect

Bounceblock Breaking is fine, even if its a little frustrating

Mines and hurdles. have one or the other, not both. Theres a lot of different things can be done with mines that are better than this. precision jumping for example.

the next two wallclimbing things are too short. everyone will eventually get the same number of frames.

Timed jumping has a limit of about 163 frames...

One-way jumping needs closer spaced mines, because it is possible to jump between them, and that will be the comp there, also, vary the vertical or horizontal distance between the platforms for a bit of difficulty. even craft it so there is more than one route up.

Free-fall is good. also has even a little thought into how it looks.

Pole-vault is too similar to the diagonal climb.

Perpendicular Frenzy is good

There are many touch-ups needed to be made, this feels very unfinished currently. I'll be glad to help

But
where's the reverse high jumping one? Where's the decathlon? Where's the race with a crazy and annoying tileset?

I'll see with t_b if he wants to make a survival. That was my first survival that's why it's bad.

Point of archery:

When you step on 1 field distance with thwump, it goes away. When the twump gets in collision with the wall, see where the drone was (in which field). The field has number, that is a number of points. If the drone was between two fields, you add .5 to lower number.

Did you think about high jumping like this?

Onewall jumping will be fixed soon.

What is reversed jump?

Decathlon could be done by using teleporters, what do you think?

Can you fix the rest of those that you criticed? You said you'll be glad to help, so I'll be waiting for you to fix or make some.

I call it a reverse jump. it's when you jump perpendicular to a slope.

I'll pm you some improvements

Was that what I've sent high jumping that you were describing?

Decided to add to this, finally. =P

3-Point Shot. It's not great, but it's ok.

Good enough :) Only I don't see the point of two N's

So I have added Riobe's map and onewall climbing is fixed.

Update made, three more maps. One of them is Nonathlon - since romaniac mentioned decathlon, I wanted to make it. There is no space for ten disciplines, so there are nine. Second map is Gold Collecting, point is to collect gold and finish it as fast as possible. Third map is Running, it's not inovating, all you need is to get up, so it's running, it's more climbing. Whatever, just try it. I'm planning to make more runnnings since options for tileset is pretty much indefinite.

Romaniac, I expected some maps from you, you said it will be done.

And please, send some records on NLympics record thread.

I haven't updated this for a very long time, two months precisely, but I don't know why, I decided to make one more map for NLympics. It's reverse bounce block breaking. It's something like bounce block breaking, but this one is descending. I'm also going to see with formica to allow me to put this into NLympics. He didn't make anything for seven months and he didn't passed to this forum, so think he gave up on N. Does that allows me to use the map? I hope I'll get feedback now.

***UPDATED***

I added Survival: Delaying the inevitable. Made by formica. Such a great map...

P.S.

I am really sorry for triple(!) posting, but it's an update and it doesn't fits to be an edit. Beside that, it bumps the topic.

You know, EdoI, I will post an Nlympics too, for 2009! But there are some (no, a lot) of different things from the original Nlympics that have changed. Is it okay for you to let me post my made Nlympics 2009? Here's one of the maps:

This map pack is not periodic. Send me maps that you have made for the project. I will definitely (and be glad to) put it in the map pack here, you will be credited for everything you've made and I'll tell to squibbles to credit you in the All-in-one Map Pack/Author Catalog. I like the map you've made, and I'll put it here when you post me other stuff you've made. No need for creating another NLympics. You can PM me the maps.

Okay. I'll PM you if I'm done. So far, I have made 16 maps. Oh yeah, there are some (no, a lot of) maps which share resemblance to your Nlympics, but none of my maps are the same as yours.

Mega update.
Chimney climbing, Swimming, Running, Uphill Climbing (w/ Laser), Thwump Cannon Blasting and Heptathlon, all by Neil_Bryan, added. I removed two maps, Running (it had glitch) and High Jumping (it was simply awfull), both by me.

Hey, EdoI! So you posted my maps. What was the glitch in my Running map? Just asking, 'cuz I didn't find one. And, oh yeah, I wonder why the Kilobytes were reduced, from 75kb to 45kb. Did you delete some maps? I think you did.

The glitch was in my Running, not yours. I deleted High Jumping that had bunch of gold that gave it many KB's.

Hey, EdoI! Sorry for too much posting of my maps in your NLympics, because I have another one. Here, the Tile Hanging. It's cool:
--EdoI made me remove the map tag--

Oh, I also found teraza's map in Numa "Welcome to the Olympics". Just asking: can you post his map too?
EDIT: map tag of teraza's map is removed

No need to be sorry... I'll add tile hanging, but not Welcome to the Olympics. Teraza's map has nothing to do with this really. But still, if you find some good map that could be here, feel free to note me for that. And one more thing - remove the map from your post (swimming as well) I'd like maps to be only in the map pack (except for the maps that are on NUMA of course). I'll add your map when I get at least five new maps.

EdoI, sorry for overposting, but I got this new game: Launchpad Hurdles.
You jump above launchpads. Be careful not to hit them, or you'll be launched back to the starting point.
--Sorry, EdoI, if I post it here. If I post any more maps, I'll PM it next time.--
Oh yeah, I knew about the Running glitch where you get killed when you start.
