One week+ is slightly behind schedule?
Wasn't part 3 done and part 4 in the works in the beginning of the last month?

Not bitching, though.

I gotta catch up on these at some point. In the meantime though, I played 29-4 after reading Life's comment about it being one of the hardest maps he's ever played. This was my first try at it; do I succed, or do I die miserably in the attempt? The answer lies in the next 4732 frames.

Maps have gotten my steak dancing over the plate:

31-0: Schadenfreude - easy? Try the fastest ever seen Highscore is then laugh with glee. 5
33-1: The Hideout - Everything a good map of rockets may have. Beauty Simplicity. 5
35-2: Trust In Me - without words. Bravo Chris!!! 5
37-2: MECHA CRAWFISH II (feat. Riobe) - My steak dance? And I on the chair playing this wonder chainguns. 5

Very Good Fourth Part !!!

I'll ask you now not to make any more columns if 95% filler maps. I'd rather wait months for a good column then have one of these every month.
  • 30-0: Bones >> You could make hundreds of maps like this, and they'd never get repetitive. Userlevel'd.
  • 30-1: Slalom Practice >> I didn't like this one very much. Pretty boring.
  • 30-2: Rise and Fall >> Not good at all. Wizard2 makes the only good e-tile jumpers.
  • 30-3: Useless Information >> Useless map, more like. Horrible.
  • 30-4: Bay Of Opportunity >> The exit need to be where the ninja is. Nice puzzle otherwise.
  • 31-0: Schadenfreude >> A bit barren, but the laser was excellent.
  • 31-1: Stairway >> Bad laser. Uninspired and lame.
  • 31-2: Crest >> Nice layout, nice laser. Needed more gold though.
  • 31-3: Twilight Glade >> This one could've been worked on summore. It didn't feel finished.
  • 31-4: The Lift Is Out of Order >> You really like lasers. This map was great looking, but the lasers were extremely powerful.
  • 32-0: The Fourth Cycle >> The normal door part could've been much better. The rest was okay.
  • 32-1: Speaker System >> Boring map.
  • 32-2: Electric Slide >> Eh, I didn't enjoy playing it.
  • 32-3: In The Sky (feat. SkyRay) >> Too disorganized.
  • 32-4: That Loving Feeling >> I'll probably remix this. The drones and oneways could've been better.
  • 33-0: Duck and Roll >> Another boring map. Maybe if there had been some drones.
  • 33-1: The Hideout >> Not fun.
  • 33-2: Building Site >> Another map which didn't make much sense.
  • 33-3: Dream Factory >> I can't figure it out. Is it even possible?
  • 33-4: I'm More Worried About The Journey Home >> Hmmm, the four rockets are a bit much. I'd also like if the ninja started on the other side.
  • 34-0: Three Piece >> You might be making these maps to get inspired, but they are horrible.
  • 34-1: Dishcloth >> Boring map.
  • 34-2: Slider >> Those floorguards were hellishly hard. It was a good highscorer though.
  • 34-3: ChompChompChomp >> Bland map, but pretty fun.
  • 34-4: The Hobbit (Or There And Back Again) >> While some of the gold was annoying to get, it was still a good map.
  • 35-0: Usain Bolt >> Ugh, what a pain in the ass.
  • 35-1: Repetition Is Dull, Yes? >> Yes, thanks for pointing that out.
  • 35-2: Trush In Me >> Can't beat it.
  • 35-3: Fungus >> Couldn't get out of the exit switch area. Probably wasn't worth it either.
  • 35-4: The Ultimate Prize >> These maps are getting worse.
  • 36-0: Nowhere To Run >> Fuck you Chris. Don't make maps like this. They're shitty and pointless.
  • 36-1: Interrogation Techniques >> Poorly designed and not fun at all.
  • 36-2: Sharpies >> A lot of wasted space here. I did like the gold pattern though.
  • 36-3: The Octogon >> Chasers were the wrong enemy. A rocket would've been much better.
  • 36-4: Locate And Distroy >> Too barren. No purpose to the map.
  • 37-0: Golden Raindrops >> If you were to polish this map, it would be very good.
  • 37-1: Thermal Vent (feat. Riobe) >> I wasn't a fan of the chaingun, but the drone path was excellent.
  • 37-2: MECHA CRAWFISH II (feat. Riobe) >> Meh. I didn't like it.
  • 37-3: Into The Jaws of Deceit >> It could be fine-tuned some. Maybe if it had more flow.
  • 07-4: Who Let The Chains Out? >> Poor level design. Not enjoyable.
  • 38-0: Measuring Vibrations >> Aww shit. Love it, though maybe a laser would be nice. Userlevel'd.
  • 38-1: My Bedroom Floor >> Please make more maps like this.
  • 38-2: Hospital (feat. mahi_mahi) >> Yuck. The enemies clashed horribly.
  • 38-3: Step On A Crack >> It looked amazing, but it didn't play that way. Mostly the bottom section.
  • 38-4: Crawl >> This is also a map I'd remix. Great structure but subpar gameplay.
  • 39-0: The Truth >> Shitty filler map.
  • 39-1: Overnight In A Hotel >> I'm not sure why, but this hit a major highscoring nerve for me. I played it for like 30 minutes. Userlevel'd.
  • 39-2: Not Much Of A Gauntlet >> Wasn't that bad. A few cool jumps involved.
  • 39-3: It's From The Sky, Ray >> On NUMA. I didn't like the design.
  • 39-4: The Last Safe Place >> Some of you might scream betrayal, but I am completely dissatisfied with this map. It's nowhere near complete and I'm ashamed we didn't work on it more.

well, well, well, Aidiera,
I think you're very exigent and strict. Your reviewing job is pretty beautiful, but you're hard.
You have write the sentence "boring" and "not fun" many times, a lot of times.
I think absolutely, this pack is NOT boring. And all of his maps are fun to play, each one in his own way.
I think also, this is extremely well made mappack, is delicate, stylish and solid.
You're an really exigent reviewer!
And I need the fifth part!!!!

Ah, university is now upon me. I'll do my best - but it may be easier for the rest of these to be subbed to NUMA, so I shall do that.
That way, I don't have to block map.

I shall keep my post updated, so you know which number map is what.

I have an existential question that keeps me awake, and I hope you can solve it.

Mentalitation gone forever? Only 4 columns? I thought you'd have to submit the remaining columns in NUMA?
I saw that you uploaded in NUMA 40-0, but then after another 5 maps, but not included in Mentalitation.
Mentalitation ended? or you're going to publish normal maps while Mentalitation maps, and go to mix?,
if so much better! (more maps yours!),
but explain me please.
Mentalitation should not only be on 201 maps!!!

I can't promise you Part 5 any time soon, but I'm working on it. Depending on exam stress and other things like that, I may be able to have it done by the end of June/start of July; but as I said, no promises.

Pretty much like all the other columns. :/
  • 40-0: Is It A Bird? >> Pretty, but it's a bit unflowy.
  • 40-1: Docking Bay >> The left side is so shitty compared to the right side.
  • 40-2: Octagoing Going Gone >> It's not creative, but it's fun.
  • 40-3: Passage >> I don't like how you can go up the right side by the gauss.
  • 40-4: Diamond Ridge >> Good-looking but not fun at all.
  • 41-0: Dig >> That's a really fun cornerkick. The bottom is bad though.
  • 41-1: The City at Night >> Not the best cityscape, but not the worst.
  • 41-2: Starry Night >> A few too many mines here.
  • 41-3: Into The Jaws >> Yuck, terrible gold placement.
  • 41-4: Shaft B6 - Abandoned >> Too fucking hard. :<
  • 42-0: The Height of Rudeness >> It needed better gold patterns. Cool jumper though.
  • 42-1: Wisps >> Shitty. Skipped.
  • 42-2: Bottom Line >> Fuck that last thwump.
  • 42-3: Medusa? She's Hot. (feat. furry_ant) >> Mmmm, now this is a good map. Userlevel'd.
  • 42-4: Fancy A Mediterranean Cruise? >> Good except for how hard it was to get to the bottom section.
  • 43-0: Scorpio >> Yeah, this is still a terrible design.
  • 43-1: AS HAPPY AS A PIG IN S**T (feat. Goatman) >> Ugly-ass pig. But I love his face.
  • 43-2: Cranestruction >> Didn't need the guass. Great otherwise.
  • 43-3: For Your Life You Must Run >> I love it when a tileset flips me off. I didn't like the rockets.
  • 43-4: Torpor Field >> Ummm, sucks. Really pointless map.
  • 44-0: A Floating Riverwork Number 46 >> I didn't like how the bottom drones were positioned. Too symmetrical.
  • 44-1: Life Inside A Thought Bubble >> I didn't like the design at all.
  • 44-2: Facility 9 >> Not as good as it could have been. I might remix it.
  • 44-3: A Zig Without His Zag >> Same as above but without the remix part.
  • 44-4: Crevasse >> Too many maps like this, and they always suck.
  • 45-0: Yardwork >> If the laser was NaN'd I might like it more.
  • 45-1: Dinner Time >> *sigh* I was hoping you wouldn't resort to this shit.
  • 45-2: Streamer >> You, fucked it up with that gold, man.
  • 45-3: Cubicle >> Filler.
  • 45-4: Remnants >> Ruined by the lasers.
  • 46-0: Pillars Of Salt >> Drones would have been so much better.
  • 46-1: Breaking Backs >> Great design, awful chainguns.
  • 46-2: Netting >> One of the better maps, but I think a rocket is the obvious enemy choice.
  • 46-3: Take My Children >> The is too long a delay for the chainguns. Cool map though.
  • 46-4: Below The Valve >> Plays like shit. Too many mines.
  • 47-0: From The Ground >> Did nothing for me. The layout doesn't fit with the drones.
  • 47-1: Space >> Unpolished and unfun.
  • 47-2: BarCode >> Meh.
  • 47-3: Spyware >> Such a hard map. :/
  • 47-4: I Get Around >> More like this please. Userlevel'd.
  • 48-0: Volcanic >> Took out the gauss and kept it. Userlevel'd.
  • 48-1: King Under The Mountain >> Awful.
  • 48-2: Rebuilding the Viaducts >> I really really like the gameplay, but the top was bad compared to the bottom.
  • 48-3: Cerulean Citadel >> Much too big. Fun gold though.
  • 48-4: Thunderclap (feat. Sunset) >> Terrible gameplay.
  • 49-0: Stove >> Nope. Not worth it.
  • 49-1: Glitch (feat. Viil) >> I was hoping there'd be a glitch. Userlevel'd.
  • 49-2: Go Back >> The chainguns should not have been side-by-side.
  • 49-3: Slip Through >> I know how to do it, but I can't be assed to beat it.
  • 49-4: Let Your Love Grow (feat. spudzalot) >> Played it on NUMA. Not worthy of 49-4.
Demos aplenty.

Spyware is the only one of these I've played barring the moa maps, and it's not hard at all.

PS, Chris, you should sub the moa maps to NUMA with the tag moa-accepted :D
