I've always been a fan of image boards (like 4chan, etc), and for a while now have wanted to learn CSS and PHP. A few days ago I decided to combine the two...

I've created OutRank.me in an attempt to modernise the dull 2001-look most image boards have, and create a whole new era of such boards (or something like that anyway).
The board is primarily aimed at gamers and animé fans, and I have no plans of including any NSFW boards.
Current Development

I created the site with the goal of modernising such boards. The Futaba layout most boards use was created over 9 years ago, and the internet has changed a lot since then!
As mentioned above, I have big plans for the future of the site which will hopefully make OutRank.me stand out above the rest!
> That image... Why doesn't the site look like that for me?
The site looks like that on browsers that support CSS3 shadows and rounded borders. At the moment I believe the only two browsers which currently support both are Opera and Google Chrome.
You will also need Javascript enabled for certain effects - like tooltips.
> Isn't anonymity a big thing on these boards? Wouldn't user accounts rule that out completely?
Not at all! Anonymity will still be a big thing, and revealing information about oneself is entirely optional. The only information that will be displayed to the public (at first, at least) will be post count - which I'm sure some of you will be interested in.
> How is the site funded?
The site is entirely funded by myself and is something I'm dedicating my free time to. I'm currently not making any money from the site, but may add discrete advertisements in the future purely to cover the site hosting costs.
