Well Pembie says he's going to E-mail me the skin's updated variant as soon as he gets back to the PC with it on.
We shall see.

I can do that earlier tomorrow or next weekend, on MTI and Mount Doom with every flavour since I finished the game 2 weeks ago. :)Chase wrote:Ok if that's the case. What we're going to do is this, I need a screenshot of every flavour of ninja, on any level, MTI and Mount Doom MUST be included.
Now. Have fun :)

This isn't necessary, I will only use the black for the colour, no other flavours will be included.Tunco123 wrote:I can do that earlier tomorrow or next weekend, on MTI and Mount Doom with every flavour since I finished the game 2 weeks ago. :)Chase wrote:Ok if that's the case. As Chrome is getting tweaked, are you going to nudge avatars off the left border and maybe center them within that column? The way they are now, touching the edge, just doesn't look right.
And I know you said something about the blue bars getting fixed, and wanted to make sure you knew that the [Moderator Control Panel] link pushed the topmost blue bar off to the left so that it's no longer positioned correctly. This is when viewing the Board Index.
Does Retronet still look like the previews? 'Cause that's pretty sweet, but it looks a lot like Chrome. And if it's going to have an N border, why not N icons? Isn't it supposed to be reminiscent of a time before Robotology, anyway?

Anyway, it has been noted that the top left blue bar is slightly messed up, but that's the way it is for now.
Retronet...I don't know yet, there's the newer members saying 'We want N icons' and those who say 'Robotology is gonna be out, this isn't solely an N forum'.
I don't really know...

We should use both robotology and N icons. OR We could use N icons, when Robotology is out. Robotology icons. Screw that. I like the first idea.Chase wrote:Pheidippides, you took the smart option, congrats!Pheidippides wrote:As Chrome is getting tweaked, are you going to nudge avatars off the left border and maybe center them within that column? To me, it would seem that the point of the Retronet skin is to remember the old forums, which were based solely around N. And, seeing as you have an N banner at the top, N icons don't seem so out-of-the-question. It's not the purpose of Retronet to embody all of the Metanet of today; that's what makes it retro. Chrome is more ambiguous because it's supposed to be more representative of "now", while Retronet would represent "then".
Doesn't that make sense?

Yes. Though, Chrome was a project started way before Retronet, but I hope Retronet finishes before Chrome, so that we could remember the old days. Anyway, Metanet Blue Design also reminds me "then", though it much looks like Retronet skin. Maybe we could just make another skin specifically for Robotology, I mean, Robotology icons and stuff. Anyway, that's another story. Though, Retronet much looks like old skin (which is the main purpose as Pheidi said) but it's like the "new" skin. I don't know how to actually describe this, like this is "old new". Much better than the awesome old skin, while keeping it's creativeness and originality, we're actually re-building the old skin, which is Retronet.Pheidippides wrote:To me, it would seem that the point of the Retronet skin is to remember the old forums, which were based solely around N. I have to say more, excuse me. While we are making Retronet, I think we /could/ deal with 2 skins at the same time. I mean, suppose that there is team alfa and beta, alfa team will make Retronet, beta team will make Chrome. Anyway, because that most of people (Chase and incluye to be accurate) works on both of them, I don't really think that could happen, but it's just an idea and I'm waiting your feedback(s).

Well, at the moment Chrome is currently in the process of being generally fixed. But Retronet is well into coding phase now as incluye is working on it.Tunco123 wrote:Yes. I think I will consider adding N related icons to Retronet. It seems more popular, and I see your reasoning.
Here you are, some icons, from left to right.

Right click on the item and select "Copy the picture URL". Then copy the URL to an empty tab. Duh. An external link to some other Metanet endeavour. Will probably never be used, although I think that's how we used to link to the IRC on the old forums.EdoI wrote:Link?Chase wrote:Forum Unread, Forum Read, Subforum Unread, Subforum Read, Locked Forum Unread, Locked Forum Read, Link

Actually I'm changing to nearlyfreespeech.net because Dreamhost costs way too much. It should be up at forum.joeldt.net right now but I've heard some people (ATR, namely) are getting errors when they visit it.Chase wrote:incluye, what are you up to, you updating the site or something?
Edit: No. It's down, by all means.
