Edit: I hate to ask to much but any chance of a new version of n-reality? or at least a new version of the score comparer to allow us to figure out what numa levels we need to resubmit on.
Unreality's awesome mod
You are an innovator at least as good as Lim ;D - xaelar

chance is always there... I want to work on that but I also need more motivation :)darkshadow wrote:Edit: I hate to ask to much but any chance of a new version of n-reality? or at least a new version of the score comparer to allow us to figure out what numa levels we need to resubmit on.
I'm still way too reluctant to use this forum. Maybe if I host my own NReality forum I will have higher motivation

A new version of NReality with all the new things you planned involved would be super-über-mega-giga-ultra-hyper-AWESOME!!! ;DUnreality wrote:chance is always there... That should definitely be done. A single sticky just doesn't cut it :)

Totally Unreality! I support that all the way, NReality definitely needs more than one thread to thrive. It kind of got pushed under the table when the forum moved for some reason :/ Thanks for getting the server back up by the way :DUnreality wrote:chance is always there... When you play maps from userlevels.txt, some will act normally in terms of keeping your scores, but others will not. On those "abnormal" maps, NReality will "forget" if you have a pre-existing score each time you open up NReality, but otherwise it will act normally. So if I have 180.000 on a map (and NReality decides to mess up on that map), if I play that map for shits and giggles and get a dumb score of 60.000, NReality will save that automatically. But then if I get a score of 58.000, it compares against the 60 as normal and doesn't keep it. If I get 62.000 it will overwrite it as normal. And so on. If I reopen NReality and get a score of 40.000, it will overwrite it again, but then it will act normally again afterwards (as long as the program is open).Unreality wrote:May someone please describe in detail about how NReality the bug of erasing the custom level run?
I don't know how it chooses which ones to act abnormally on, so I fiddled with it. I tried it with 3 maps: A, B, & C. B was the only abnormal one. Then I rearranged the maps in the userlevels file. B was still the only abnormal one. Then I changed C to AA. B was still the only abnormal one. So I'm at a loss. Apparently it just likes certain levels. Maybe it's something where NReality is acting funny because of a certain something in the map data?

The first version of the chat room will be very simple, it probably won't integrate to IRC.kkstrong wrote:when chat comes out in 7a, is there any way to connect it to #n-highscores ?

It packs all 6c2 transparent updates :) and has the "custom map run overwritten bug" fixed
p.s. you MUST BACKUP YOUR SOL. NReality6d1 to NReality6d3 have been proven sol hungry. I believe I have fixed it in NReality6d4 but I can't guarantee no bug at all :p
p.p.s. MAKE SURE YOUR NReality6d4 is using FLASH PLAYER 9
