NEW SUGGESTION!

Ok, a jump key counter. Where for 5 seconds nreality (or some function inside) will count how many times you can push the key that you have toggled to jump in n. I know we already have chimney maps like 121027 with pretty much serve that purpose, but it would nice to have a nice number, and maybe you could set up a highscore boards for this function.

I would think a jumper counter would contain the number of times you have pressed the jump button in a map, much like the death counters.

That wasnt quite what I was thinking. I was thinking more along the lines of that space bar game, where you have to press space as many times in 5 seconds as you can. I think it would be cool to have a highscore board for that, but for w/e key you have mapped to jump.

I suck at chimenying of any kind, so I do not second the motion. ;)

Yeah, Izzy'll just win all the time. :/

It's not so much as Izzy will win all the time is that it would take more coding than it is worth, and not many people will derive fun from such a function.

Agreed here.

I've got a problem that could use a solution.

What if I want to see a demo that's been pushed off the page? The only reason this comes up is because all the non-legit highscores (which include runs of interest) are pushed below all the legit scores. So if xaelar's score is non-legit but pushed off the page, how can you view the demo? You'd have to do it in userlevels, except you need level data. Perhaps you could provide the level data somewhere on n.infunity.com. That would make particularly good sense seeing as the only way you'd see those pushed-off scores is by visiting the site.

What do you think?

Some more bugs/suggestions/etc.with n.infunity.com:

5. The advert underneath the menu bar on the left has been saying "The page cannot be found" for almost a year now. The problem with this is that it seriously mucks up the back/forward function. To go back, you have to click back twice instead of once, and it is not possible at all to go forward. Could you get rid of the advert?
6. Typing numbers in the textboxes on speedrun/underclock numa top20s redirects to highscore.
7. I think it would be better if the NReality Forum Link under Help & Info would link to these forums, not the old ones.
8. The About Us section doesn't do anything at all.

In most cases, you could just turn legit mode off and return to the level. Then the scores will be in numerical order.

Oh, right. My bad. Thanks!

instead of jump counter, I will probably show the key pressed next to the frame counter

When can we expect to get the new NReality?

What I would like is a "groundresetjumpcount" property in the playermod. Default is 1, and what it does...

Well, example:

|||||maxjumpcount,5 lets you jump 5 times in midair
whereas
|||||maxjumpcount,5;groundresetjumpcount,0 would only let you jump 5 times in the level, because if groundresetjumpcount is set to 0, it doesn't reset your jump count when you touch the floor, so
|||||groundresetjumpcount,0 would let you jump only once in the whole level.

I would really like to see Modmaster integrated into Ned.

Sometime over summer, I would immagine.
ChaosStar wrote:I would really like to see Modmaster integrated into Ned.
It in a completely different language than Nreality, so I doubt it would be much help.

I would be happy to hand over the source to Unreality, but like I said if wouldn't be much help to him... its not the code he is worried about, its the interface. Not to mention its just a jumbled list of about 800 if statments! xD

Unreality, I found an annoying glitch.

If you go to the Highscore/Speedrun/Underclock boards, choose to watch a demo, then hit "Play Level" while the demo loads, you get locked into the demo. It forces you to close out the program.

I also second the notion that your mods don't disappear when you load the level data. :/ Gets confusing to have to copy and past multiple things, namely if you are doing Area/Door triggers.

That's always been a glitch in N. I deal with it by making sure whenever I click on a demo on the boards and then decide I don't want to watch it I click on one of my own demos then exit out to insure that the board one stops loading.

So, I was thinking.

It would be pretty cool if you could put in a "Ghost" feature, where it plays your personal best while you play the level, so you can try to beat it.

It's a lag happens quite often actually. When you've clicked userlevels and changed your mind, opened Ned right after it, the highscoreboard comes to your screen, even you are not on that page.

Just click somewhere else, and problem solved.

I along with other people have suggested this before, where the ghost of your personal best or the current 0th plays along side you, but other than completely reprogramming n to make it so two ninjas could play. The only other conclusion we came to was using a .gif of the run as the background, but I have been told that, that would create massive amounts of lag in the game. Although is Unreality could come up with a way to do this it would be awesome and extremely helpful for highscoing.

[backseatmodding]also try and keep suggestions to the Nreality suggestion thread[/backseatmodding]

9. Very strange bug with n.infunity.com.

http://n.infunity.com/numa.php?mapID=39758

It behaves the way it should in NReality, but not on n.infunity.com...

(Not that you follow these anymore, but still...)

10. This is the total episode score table:

http://n.infunity.com/totalEpScore.php

Now WoC, in 19th, most certainly does not have a total episode score of even close to the given value of 18181.100.

My NReality is failing.

So, I'm using NReality v6c2 (c2, not d4!) on a WinXP computer. Everything's fine. I copy the entire N folder and put it on some other computer (and I copy my .sol file into the appropriate location)(AND this computer is exactly the same OS and similar specs). Now, N v1.4 still runs fine and has clearly detected my .sol and everything, while NReality just sits there with the light gray screen. Along the side I can see the text for "NReality", "GRID", and "SCORE TIME". The transparent update text pops up very quickly saying transparent update has finished, but that's all that happens.

Help?

Note: I tried 6d4 and it just did the same thing. Wtf mate?

EDIT: I should point out that both machines I have the latest version of Flash: 10.0.32.18.

I think it's a common problem... it is exactly what happens with the computers at my school (except that it has an additional complication of NOT "detecting my .sol and everything"). It's been mentioned a few times already, I think, and each time nobody could find out what the problem was...
