So I was dominating 103, with 0ths on all 5 levels and the entire episode. Upon submitting my highscore for 103-3, my runs for 103-1, 103-2, and 103-4 were negated i.e. my submissions were marked .*swipenet as opposed to just *swipenet, preventing me from obtaining an episode ownage.

Can any of you guys explain why this happened? If so, can it be reverted?

hey swipenet! I noticed your domination. I know the reason those dots appear is because they have suposeddly been done with an older version of NReality, (version 4 I believe). I supose you have also noticed those 'dotted' runs are not counted on Infunity rankings, thats because that NReality version was still cheatable, as L3X proved (his scores were deleted), and therefore they are marked to note that they 'might' be cheated (I dont think any other run on the boards appart from L3X runs are cheated though). For me, this is an excessive security measure, since the 0th and Top20 Boards are slightly fake, as old scores aren't counted (and a bunch of good highscorers played in old times, Lim scores, xela, lat, etc).

I don't know if this is your problem though, the question is, were those scores done with an old version?

I've had NReality v6g2 since November last year. I obtained all of these runs on this version. Sure, there's a several-month difference between the oldest and newest 0th, but all of them were done on the same version of the game. Also, I have quite a few 0ths from an older version, v6d4. Those were not converted to '.*swipenet', so I really am quite confused. Any ideas?

I'm afraid I don't know why that's happening then o.O I'm sorry. I would send a PM to Unreality to see whats going on, but I haven't seen him here for months.

Hi swipenet. Looks like you are having problems with the infamous score recovery system. As soon as you start hitting that control key, you are immediately letting your scores become hostage to a plethora of glitches. To call it the Windows ME of NReality would probably be harsh on Microsoft.

I was using 6c2 back then in mid-2009, but the same thing happens on 6d4 or in your case 6g2. As the thread explains in detail, all your recovered scores marked as v0 will submit themselves onto the scoreboards when you next hit the submit button. And as the wise man Unreality himself said, "arr .. um... I don't know :p I'm sorry I haven't polished the score recovering function (at all) ;p". If he has no clue, we have no hope of understanding, and since this problem has been around for three years, the chance of it being fixed in the near future with Unreality not around are about equal to the chances of plunge-for-distance making a comeback as an Olympic sport.

I would guess there isn't much you can do, other than to try and improve your own scores before your next submission. It's not just you. Vankusss has about 10 or so metanet 0ths from 2010 that are now listed as dot-star 0th on LegitMode for probably this exact reason. Also, don't use Norton.

I did use the score recovery feature...damnit. Does Unreality have direct control over the scores? I don't think I can improve all of these runs :/

Yeah he has direct control over the score database. If you're desperate, your best option is to hope he responds to your PMs and removes the dot. However if you do hit the submit button again, the same glitch would happen; so as a cautionary measure you should overwrite the v0 scores on your side by switching LegitMode on and doing a simple completion of ep103 on 6g2 (the thread I linked explains this). And don't bother with score recovery.
