Me and bio had a conversation, it reveals some of his character and stuff.... read it, its short, so no summary!
convo

Takkun sat on one of the dining room chairs, he dumped the bread on the table. Takkun teared a chunck of bread off and started eating, without looking at sypha he spoke, "I'm not holding a grudge, i understand you did what you did back then through fear. Im not sure if i can trust you though...." Takkun sighed, then shook his head. He put on a smile and turned to Sypha, "Well, your here now. We can't do anything about it, and im kinda interested in wha.. who you are"

Sypha looked at Takkun, "I'm not anyone really. As for what I am" sypha said in a spiteful tone, "I'm a mutant really. I have long term amnesia, so I don't remember anything from more than 7 years ago." I have a journal to record it all though. I keep it close at all times. Without it, I wouldn't have any memories longer than 2 years."

Takkun looked at sypha in awe, then hid beneath his smile once more, "You know," takkun took another bite of the bread, "Everybody here wished to escape seros for a new start it seems, to me it looks as though we all want to get away from the emotional pain." Takkun gestured for sypha to take a seat, "But you have no emotional past to escape. If anything you want to find your emotional past..." Sypha interuptted Takkun, an slight anger was in his vioce, "I have an emotional past. I was cruelly left to die by my only friend. The only thing he left was this cursed glow" .

Takkun looked at the ground, "I'm sorry, i was presumtive..."Takkun smiled, "Hmm, it looks like you've got more in common with us than i thought". Takkun looked down the hall of the lower deck, he wondered where David had gone off to.

Takkun stood up, and walked to Sypha, "Welcome to... the team? ahaha, that sounds so corny"He held out a hand for Sypha, who dismissed the gesture
"I admire your open-heartedness, but I won't be here for long, most likely." Takkun nodded, "well your not a prisoner by any means. We'll be happy to drop you off at the first port we find." Takkun finished off his bread, "If your going to be staying with us, i'll give you a room." Takkun walked down the hallway, to the last bedroom on the right, he opened the door and smiled. Sypha yelled down the hall, "I'll be content with the storeroom."

Takkun shrugged and headed back to his room, while Sypha went back down to the base deck. Takkun lay on his bed and stared at the ceiling, daylight piercing through a small window in the cabin. Takkun Sighed, "I hope we find land soon..."

jess and david, no summary coz im mean >:D
read me!

Leaving Sypha and Takkun in the dining room, David walked along to the rooms to check on the others. He knocked on the door to Jessika and Jack's room. "Yeah?" shouted Jessika, she looked up from her book to see David standing in the doorway.

"Hey Jessika." David seemed a little hesitant. "Listen, there's something I've been meaning to ask you."
Jessika hesitated, "What is it?" she said quietly.
David asked "How old are you? I don't like to pry, but I need to know."
Jessika's thoughts were running frantically. 'Should I tell him the truth, or lie?' she thought, 'Well, if i lie, he'll just find out in the end...'

"Seventeen" she said.

David felt his legs almost give way, "Ah."
David opened his mouth, and shut it. He opened it again, and then closed it, "Ah."

"What?" said Jessika, a worried look on her face.David swallowed. Best to get this out of the way very quickly, "I'm thirty-nine."
He shut his mouth, then stood still, his face emotionless.

Jessika sat there and comprehended what she'd just heard. She looked up at David, "So?"
David's eyebrows went up so fast they almost blurred.

"So? Don't you think that twenty-two years is a major gap? I hate to think I was just taking advantage of a young girl's infatuation." He said this calmly, but inside, his heart was beating fast.

"Is that all you care about?" said Jessika silently, "What other people think?"

"Jessika." David walked over, and grasped her shoulder. "I'm more worried about you. If we..." He trailed off to something inaubible here. "... then I'd be an old man when you're in your prime. You don't deserve that."
Jessika smiled, " I don't care about what other think. But I care enough about you to know that we shouldn't go any futher."
Jessika stood up and went over to David. "David..." she said tenderly.
"I care about you. Nothing can change that"

David stood silent for a moment. Contemplating, thinking.Suddenly, he looked up and smiled boyishly. "Really Jess? Could you really live with me?"
Jessika smiled wickedly, but a deeper meaning could be seen in her glossy eyes.
"Behave yourself" she said simply, with a hidden message underlying the words.
She put down her book and went down the hallway to get some food.

David smiled, content again. He laughed, then stopped. His shoulder was still hurting.
David downstairs, towards the armoury.
"What with all these damn other people, I'll have to fight with something else for a while."

((Might as well do another monolouge as we do this conversation...))

'So here we are, upon the open sea. Compared to Seros, this is... well, beautiful. Then again, anything is beautiful compared to Seros... Calm waves, a quiet breeze, and a few clouds above in an open sky.

It's suprising. Looking at all this, I wonder why there aren't more boats out here. Why is it all restricted?

I guess we'll find that out soon enough. It's highly likely that considering the Eldar was destroying boats, we'll find out why...

And, earlier... Jessika. Something seems... Odd about her. Especially after her reaction when I queried her about David. "Saying Goodnight" eh? Seems a little bit funny to a man she met about two days ago, and who's first sentance to her was a remark about her body...

Then again, opinions change. But... something tells me that those two may be getting a bit "close". Then again, that's just speculation. For now, anyways...'

I took another bite out of the bread that I had in my hands. I had decided to take a piece last night, considering the fact that it'd probably have been eaten by this point in time if I'd left it. And a little foreplanning never hurt anyone...

'Wait... Is that?'

I could see something starting to appear on the horizon. A small, dark mass, but with a couple of points on it. An island.

'Heh... About time'

I walked over to the stairs, and called down.

"Hey! Is there anybody there?!"

((And then it pretty much follows on with the conversation.))

That oh-so-epic session.

((this part has been lost, it basically involved takkun following david down to the base deck, and getting a weapon, which was the "halbard". Takkun practised with it for a bit, then thanked david))

"Alright then. I can teach you how to fight with it if you want." David looked around. "But maybe later." David tossed a leather loop to Takkun.
"Takkun, I'll join you on deck in a minute. I'll just choose my weapons. Off you go now."

Takkun nodded, turned, and headed back upstairs, he was proud that he could now help the group out in battle. He stepped into his cabin, smiled, and lay the halberd against the wall, and sat on his bed, admiring it.
*Static*
Takkun was starteled by a pale white glow in the room, and turned to see a figure standing about 4'2" high, pointing out the window... motioning for Takkun to follow. Takkun stood still for a moment, frozen in a mixture of shock and awe, he turned round to the window, and gasped, on the horizon, was...

"Heheh... About time", Jack said to himself, turning towards the stairs.
"Hey! Anybody down there?!" He called.
...Takkun was speechless, a mixture of wonder at the sight out of the window, and fear of the apperation. While Takkun was dazed by the shock, the appiration flickered out of existence.

"IS THERE ANYBODY THERE?!" Jack called again.

Takkun snapped out of his daze, "What?!"

Downstairs, David had heard Jack's cry, and bounded up the stairs to meet him there.
"Hey Jack! Check out my new sword. It's called a shamshir." David, with a loony grin on his face, pulled out a long sword with an impossibly wicked curve to it.
"What do you think? Oh yeah, and what did you want again?"

"Right..."

Jack stepped back, due to the madman's grin.

"Oh, nothing much. An island..."

"An island?" David bounded up to the front of the boat.
"I think I can see something there... let's investigate further." David said.

"Jake, take us in!" David waved magnanimously at Jack, and peered further at the island.

"I'm not even going to bother to correct you" Jack said. He walked over to the wheel, adjusting it to move the ship towards the island.

Takkun walked slowly down the hallway, and up the stairs, he was awestruck by the island.

The ship edged closer to the island, but as it did, Takkun started feeling worse and worse about this land which he had thought looked so beautiful from a distance. Takkun stepped up to the front of the deck, and stood beside david and Jack. The boat was now close enough to make out the features of the island. Takkun inspected this new land.

The island was quite large, but it was no bigger than seros, it might even be smaller, it was hard to tell, he'd never got a good look at seros. The island was covered by a blanket of forest, with an array of mountains peircing out of the ground. Takkun could make out a small village on the south-west point of the island, as well as what looked like a ship in the bay they were heading towards. But it was like no ship he had ever seen.

Jack stared at the ship, "What the bloody hell is that?!"

Jessika watched from one of the windows below at the amazing ship.It was like nothing she'd ever seen before.
She'd been equiping herself for a rough landing, and possibly a little action, stuffing her pockets and wearing mulitple sheaths.
She ran up onto the deck to join the others.

David looked briefly at the new boat, and dismissed it. The juggernaught was better than that. But, the island... David sat himself down on a deck-chair. The island stunned David. It looked... familiar.

The ship was half submerged in the water. Takkun was in awe, as the ship got closer, he noticed how intricate the detail of the metalwork was. The ship was odd though, it was made entirly of metal, and what good was a ship that did not float? Takkun turned to the group, "I think we should investigate the ship first, I'm not sure about the island... somethings... not quite right about it"

"Tell you what..." David began."We've got a little rowboat down the side. How about two of us check the boat, the other two check the island?". Jack smiled "Heh, fine by me".

David noted takkun and jess staring at him, obviosly unhappy with this idea, "Fine! FINE!We'll go look at the boat first".
Jack shook his head, "Alright, no need to shout" David stormed to the clockwork basillista on the side, muttering about 'stupid people'.
Takkun smiled, "Don't worry David, we'll investigate the island as soon as we're done looking over this boat..."

Takkun turned to the rest of the group, "ok, lets drop anchor next to the ship and use the boarding plank to get in, I think I can see a entrance hatch." Takkun took the wheel and steered the boat carefully until it was a few metres to the side of the airship
David manned one of the basillisae, and pointed it at the other boat menacingly. "I'll stay here" He said.

Takkun nodded, he headed to the side of the deck, and released the anchor. He looked at the ship, on the side in faded letteers he could make out the word "fenrir"

Jack shouted from the front of the boat, "Someone drop anchor!"
Takkun shouted back, "i've done it!"
Jack whispered to himself, "Right then...". Jack turned to jessika, "Jessika, are you staying here or coming aboard?"

Jessika shook her head.

Takkun turned to Jack, "Help me with this boarding plank!"
Jack grabbed the other side of the boarding plank. With Takkun, they both managed to place the board upon the deck of the Fenrir
Jack turned to Takkun, "Right, shall we be going?"

Takkun nodded. Takkun carefully walked across the boarding plank to the hatch, he noticed the ornate detail over every aspect of the ships hull. There were little carvings of roses on the hatch. Takkun held the turned the handle of the round hatch, easing it open
Takkun looked inside the ship. It was dark, the only light came through small slit windows. He stepped inside slowly, finding the deck, he eased himself down, he then turned back to jack, holding the plank steady, "C'mon jack"

"Hmm... Nice place" Jack said, jumping down the hatch.

"Right. Nice pla-" Jack was cut off as soon as he reached the other side. Naeseua kicked in, and a sudden feeling of anxiety rushed over him "I... *cough* have a bad feeling about this..."

All sound was distorted on the ship... Vision was blurred, color was lost... In the distance... there was a cat.

Takkun stepped forward, he suddenly noticed he was dizzy Looking down he saw a small cat pad across the room, and out into a dimly lit hallway. The hatch eased shut behind them, it would be impossible to find in this state. Takkun shook his head, he grabbed jacks shoulder, "We should... Make sure.... We Don't... Get split up..."
Jack spluttered out some barely audible words, "I don't plan to split up... *cough*"

The Orange cat continued padding down the hallway... At times, it paused... and flickered in and out.

jack looked around, "Which *cough* way?"

The Orange cat continued padding down the hallway... At times, it paused... and flickered in and out.
Takkun raised his armsslowly, pointing to the door where the cat had just walked down, He stumbled forward, down the hall, holding onto Jacks shoulder.

The cat turned right, and then continued to move, down the stairs. The cat paused at the door, and disappeared. Before it flickered the last time, you see that it's collar was inscribed 'Sol'

Takkun looked at Jack, swaying slightly, "You want to take a leap of faith?" Jack nodded, refusing to talk in an effort to save energy
The naseua was getting worse by the second Moving forwards, they went through the door.

The room was full of light. The past darkness was not present in this room. All feeling of illness that Takkun and Jack had felt were swept away. The front of the room was almost all glass, besides the floor and control panel. There was a portrait that showed a lady, in her 20s-30s, sitting on a throne, with two cats on her lap. While her body and complexion suggest she be young, her face shows wisdom and kindness. On the plaque was inscribed:
Queen Esmeralda

Takkun looked around the room in awe, it was just as ornate as the outside of the ship. Takkun gazed at the front of the room, and was amazed at the wall to wall glass window which created a fantastic veiw of the island. "This must be the helm..." Takkun whispered to himself. The room was bare, yet he had a feeling someone other than jack was watching him.

Jack's eyes widened, "Wow... Look at this place! It's an engineering feat! Oohh... I've got to see if I can get this thing running!"
Jack ran over to the controls, and started to check out the systems and switches

Takkun smiled at Jacks optimism, but he still felt uneasy. Something wasn't quite right. Takkun turned stepped out of the room, and shouted down the corridor, "HELLO? ANYBODY HERE?"

A whisper of wind whirled through the room, chilling Takkun to the bone. Jack didn't feel anything, however.
Takkun stood still in fear, he shouted again, a little more shakily, "H-Hello? Any-nybody there?"

Jack turned around, "What are you on about? There's no one else here. This room seems... odd, but there's no one else here"

Once again, a figure appeared before Takkun... pointing toward the one area of the deck they hadn't checked. Takkun stumbled over to the small hatch which he had not noticed beforehe opened it slowly to find a room which was mostly bare. on the far wall across the ladder, was the same portrait from the main deck. In the center of the room was a circle-shaped shelf. On the shelf were multi-colored orbs...
In the corner of the room was a piece of blue cloth poking out from behind the shelf...

Takkun stepped to the shelf, looking around it, he saw a small girl, sound asleep. he stood there shocked. Takkun turned to the entrance to the room, "JACK! THERES A GIRL IN HERE!"

"What?!" Jack left his new-found toys, and came rushing in.

"Is she alive?"

Takkun put his hand on her wrist, their was a faint pulse. He breathed a sigh of relief, then lifted her up on to his back.Takkun walked back the route they had taken, and emerged out of the hatch, crossing the boarding plank.

Jessika and David had just finished packing the row boat when the other two got back. As they came over to the boarding plank, Jessika saw the small girl being carried by Takkun. She ran over.

"Is she alright?" Jessika asked.

David looked at the girl being carried, and rolled his eyes.
"Whatever. Another passenger. Make it a bloody cruise boat, why don't we."

"Okay then, but you'd need to get some better food before we can do that... I almost lost that bread earlier upon that ship..."

Takkun carefully lay down the girl on the deck and noticed her right leg had some bad swelling, "Jess, have you got any of those phials left?"

"Yeah, I've got one here" she replied, quickly whipping one out of nowhere.

"Right, I'll move us a bit closer to the island then" Jack said, going for the wheel
"David, can you get the anchor?"

"Huh? Oh, right, anchor. Yeh, got it." David moved over to the anchor and pulled it up.Meanwhile, Takkun took the phial and made the sleeping girl drink it.

The boat gently beached itself on the shore, and then remained wedged there firmly.
"Great" David murmered. "Pushing that back in will be fun." He peered ahead. Up ahead, he thought he could see the teeniest corner of a house. The group all got down onto the beach, with takkun carrying the girl. There was a mighty roar from the forest, a tree came crashing down, and out bounded a monstrous sight; a huge wolf, as tall as man, leapt across the sand of the beach towards the group. Its mouth was frothing, and there was a crazed look in its eyes. The wolf pounced, smashing david onto the ground, knocking all the air out of his lungs David tried but failed to dislodge the beast on his chest(His shoulder was hurting like hell.)

"A little help... please!?" he screamed.

Jessika looked up at the wild beast and muttered "Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is." She then pulled a massive custom-made battle axe from off her back. The axe was two metres long, and had huge, gouging spikes running along one side. Jessika ran at the beast and swung the axe with unusual strength over her head. It came down like a bomb, obliterating the beast in an explosion of blood and gore. The axe cut straight through the beast's bones, slicing it in half. Jessika fell over, panting.

Takkun stood speechless, still holding the girl.

Jack stood speechless In (somewhat) awe, and confused of how a large axe had just appeared from practically nowhere... The remains of the beast fell onto David, covering him with gore and broken bones. In addition, there were claw marks on his chest.
"Ow" he groaned.
Jessika stood up, and wiped the blood off her face, and went over and helped David get up.
"You're lucky I took that strength potion before we left" she said breathlessly.

"Thanks Jess... again." David was swaying, and having trouble standing.

Takkun snapped out of his daze, he looked to the south, and saw a collum of smoke rising. Takkun turned back to the group, and said "lets check that out, maybe it'll be safer than here"

"Maybe, but smoke indicates fire..."
"Fire indicates damage..."
"And damage... likely means more of these"
"Well, this is going to be fun,"

"Shut up please, Jake. That wasn't fun at all."
David went over to Jess, and pecked her on the cheeck.
"Thanks again. I owe you a favour." He said slyly.

Jessika glared at him, in a 'shut it!' type of way.

David smiled, and backed off. He grinned at the others.
"Ok, onto the village."
David drew his new sword. "Lets go."

As the group approached the gates, they saw a small party in front of it.

In front of them was an ancient, wrinkled man.
He gestured, and the group cautiously approached him.
"Strangers... I have need of your help. A dark power holds sway on this island... I need you to drive them away."

"In return... I will teach you the magickal arts. So, will you aid us?"

Takkun stepped forward "We'll gladly help you in any way we can."

David rolled his eyes at the back of the group, still covered in gore.
"Idealistic Takkun... huh..."
"Dark power? Could explain what you mean by that?"
The old man, in his tattered robe, looked around. He spoke in a low voice- "Vampires. And they have the Sanguine Chest."

At this, the sleeper awakened.

Summary

Takkun gets a SPAX. Takkun and Jack find a comatose girl on a very odd ship. David gets covered in gore. There are vampires on the island. And the sleeper awaketh.

(( Few things... Firstly, it's halberd, with an e. Secondly, We don't need a conversation for the next bit. From here, we all go see the elder one by one, and he awakens the magick within us. From what Aphex has told me, we pick 4 magick spells, 4, not 4 from each affinity, but 4, and then submit them to Aphex. Seeing as Aphex is away, he delagated it to UniverseZero... Though you can PM to me if you want. Because I'm awesome.
Lastly, have, er, fun. Go see the Elder, use cool magick. The plot will soon advance, when Aphex and or Drathmoore return.))
David and The Elder Text

David was the first to enter the Elder's house. It was small, but with one room in the middle that was like a training room. It was here that David and the Elder sat. The Elder, clad in his dirty robe, holding a wooden stave, smiled. "So, magick" He said, without preamble. "I presume you know the very basics?" David nodded that yes, he did, the very basics. "Very well" The old man replied. He reached forward and touched the sides of David's head, with both hands. He kept them there for a moment, and pulled back, looking worried.

"What's wrong?" Asked David. The Elder paused for a moment. "I've not seen one of your type in a very long time... and the last one didn't end up so well." David cocked his head at this- "What?" "You are a Grey Mage. You are a complete contradiction in terms, you wield both the powers of life and death... it is a great burden to hold." David said nothing, and the Elder continued. "Traditionally, the Grey all tend to be, well, grey. No blacks or whites for them- just pure neutrality. Or money. Most were famous merceneries."

Silence. "David." David looked up into the old man's eyes. "I can awaken your magick- but you must accept that it will change you. And you must be responsible for it. Do you want me to awaken you?" More silence. At last David spoke lowly- "Do it."

The old man gestured that David should take hold of the stave with both hands. Standing behind David, the Elder placed his hands on David's head, and spoke ritually "This man seeks the powers of magick within him. Let them to be free to him, for good or for ill, and let him understand that the only bad mage is a weak one." He touched David's forehead. "Awaken. Awaken. Awaken."

Mentally, David could feel doors closed and locked opening to him. He could feel the magick within him, flowing, moving. He could sense it from around him as well. It was amazing. "David, it is done." David stood up, slowly, as though experiencing something for the first time. It was all so incredible. "I must see to your companions as well, but first, a few basic spells. You can take my books, and learn from them later. But one thing- I cannot teach Death magick... it is... not accepted."

David, still unwilling to speak, simply nodded. The Elder spoke- "To use magick, you must know a few things. You can never destroy anything- if ever you try and unmake something, you will be removed from existence. Such is justice. Killing, murder- but not unmaking. Now, to use magick, you must first gather your power- summon it, hold it in your mind. Secondly, you must know the words to the spell you are attempting to cast, and finally, you must mentally picture how you want the spell to work. Then, release the energy, and the spell will be cast. But don't over-exert yourself- or you will die." (( Note, this is how magick works for everyone)) David stood still, taking all this in. He just couldn't speak.

"Now," Continued the small Elder, "I give you four spells. Firstly, I will give you a book on the basics of enchanting. The words and methods for enchanting are in there. Secondly, the spell for magick arrows. Thirdly, a spell for a shield against physical damage. Lastly, just for you with your busted shoulder, the spell for healing hands." The wiry old man bent over, and whispered the words of the three spells into David's ear. He made David repeat them until they were in his head. "I'll write them down for you, of course."

Finally, David spoke- "Don't worry, I'll remember." He paused, and focused. Eyes closed, incanting under his breath, his hands began to glow golden. David, still speaking, waved them over his broken shoulder. A moment, and the golden light sunk in, taking evidence of the wound with it.
The Elder's eyes widened. "I'm impressed. For a first go, that was very good." David tore off his sling, and tested out his arm. It was fine, no, better than fine. It was amazingly good. He smiled, and nodded to the Elder. "Thank you, master."

The Elder smiled at this, and suddenly, his eyes lit up. "I have a letter addressed to a Grey Mage- it's been here for almost forty years now. I suppose it's yours now." He slowly hobbled over to the mantlepiece, and picked up an ancient and yellowed letter from the top.
It was addressed "To the next Grey Mage who stops by" David, puzzled, opened the envelope, and pulled out the paper inside.

He read it once, twice, and three times. His eyes were full of fire, but he showed no outer sign of what was written. Suddenly, he crushed the letter in his fist, and stood up. "How far to the mountain caves? He asked, his voice suddenly harsh and angry. The Elder hesitated. "About three hours. But-" David turned, and went to the door. "Thanks for the Magick... I have to go find something." He pulled the door shut, and ran off. He threw the letter in a pigsy, in the neighbouring house, and ran for the ship.

Bolting inside, he ran down, placed the books he'd recieved on his bed, and grabbed up his zweihander. After a bit of consideration, he grabbed a second shamshir- never mind the weight. With that, he bolted off again, for the top of the mountains. No-one saw him go. He was a man with a mission- and looked hell-bent on dying to achieve it.

Back in the village, a pig regarded it's slops. It settled on eating the white paper first- it looked promising. It fell to the ground under his snout, briefly revealing the words "David. Come to the top of the mountain. We await your presence- .:: " could be seen, but were soon gone. The pig snorted contentedly, and went to sleep.

((Note, the above text contains vital info on how magick works. But I won't tell you where, so you have to read the whole thing! Wahahaha!))

((Lastly, do this test http://tinyurl.com/lm7xwn See how much of a 'Mary Sue' you are. Do section 1, 2,4 and 5. Don't do 3. Then put up your score of how Sue-ish you are. ... David got 40.))

((Ok, I'll go second. Too short for summary.))
Emmy and the Elder

Emmy was the second to enter the Elder's house. As with David, the Elder was waiting for her in the center room. The Elder was not smiling. He asked "Why do you come here? I have nothing to teach you. "

"..." Emmy did not move; and continued staring intently at the Elder.

The Elder sighed. "If you insist, I can try." The Elder then grasped both sides of Emmy's head, and focused.
After a while, the Elder let go, and stated firmly, "Nothing. You have no magic in there. You're just an ordinary girl. Please leave. "

Emmy smiled. "...You lie." and she walked out of the elder's house, laughing inside. She continued walking, until she came to the shore where David's ship had been beached. She outstreched her arm, and a low sound resonated through the air. Turning away, she walked back to town, to where the rest of the party was staying. She climbed up the stairs, and fell asleep in the bed that Takkun had placed her in before the Corruption had taken him. She vowed that she would heal him.

((Argh. The Elder doesn't like me.))
Emmy's Diary

I've decided to keep a journal after the loss of most of my memories.

I found this book in my pocket. (Who knew that so much things could fit in a pocket?) Although, now I made a backpack to hold the items that were in my pocket.

What was in my 'pocket'

1 - Umbrella. It's magical, so it won't break. Black, with faint red runes on it. I love it.
1 - Book. The one I'm writing in. Leather-bound, it's very soft.
19 - small orbs. Each are 2 inches in diameter, and are different colors. Most are white. others are orange.
2 - Jars of Blackberry preserves (my favorite.)
1 - piece of flint. (it'll come in handy.)
1 - piece of metal, to strike the flint on.
1 - Flute.
2 - Pots, one large, one small.
1 - full notebook, of which I seem to have written various recipies in.
1 - 5 inch dagger.
6 - vials of poison.
9 - rations of dried meat, packaged in a leather pouch.
1 - Necklace, of which I'm now wearing. It's quite ornate. In a silver circle, there is a ruby, made to look like the head of a rose.
2 - Big orbs. 12 inches in diameter, one white, one black.
16 - Bandages

I really do want to know why the Elder of the island told me I have no magic inside in me. I know he lied; I'm no fool... I also have to find a way to cleanse the island of the resident corruption.
I do hope that Jack does not succumb to the Corruption, but I fear he might. I don't trust David, or Jessika. Hopefully my feelings are wrong...

I also want to find out more about the "Sanguine Chest". I do love a good mystery.

On an afterthought, I should head north. The mountains did seem to be interesting. There must be some clues there. If not, some things to charge the Core of Fenrir. I hope to restore him to at least 80% capacity. While the Juggernaut is a nice little ship, I know that Fenrir will come in handy. Especially if I plan to see Aegis again.

((Not too bad. 27 on the Mary Sue test. ))

((Monologue Time!!))

Sypha became restless waiting in the storeroom, and decided to go outside for once. Ascending the two layers of stairs, he came to the door, and paused infront of it. 'Should I really do this?' He thought. Overcoming the anxiety, he opened the door and stepped outside. Being discreet, he crept around to find a place to relax in peace. Being drawn again by a mysterious presence, he slowly crept towards a lone hut. Absentmindedly, he walked in through the front, where a lone figure was sitting on a chair in the back. Having said hello, the figure beckoned for Sypha to approach.

"Hello. I have been anticipating your visit, Sypha." he said in a calming yet powerful voice.
"How do you know my name?" Sypha said in state of minor shock.
"I know a great many things, but that's not important right now. What's important is you." the figure said.
"I'm important? You must be mistaken." He said in with a mixture of astonishment and sarcasm
"Yes, you have a great power asleep inside. I can tell by the glow you bear."
"This acursed glow, I hate it!" Sypha said, lost in anger, seemed not to notice anything else around him for a moment. He quickly snapped out of it when he realsied he was probably being rude towards this charitable man. "Uh, sorry..."
"It's ok, it happens to everyone. As t why it happens, only you can know. Come closer." At this Sypha stepped forward so he was within reaching distance of the man.
"Hold out your hand for me, will you?" Sypha reluctantly held out his hand, with a small sliver of suspicion crawling through his head.
At this, the man grabbed his hands and concentrated hard, so hard that you could feel the still in the air, as if nothing but the task at hand existed.
"Hmm. You have an enormous amount of unlocked power. However, most of it is artificial; you did not have from birth."
Sypha look shocked, becasue not even he knew about the circumstance of his birth. The man continued, "Someone very powerful, more power than you would ever know, or anyone for that matter, has spent a long time with you, correct? His magick was flowing around him, as his body alone could not contain it. You must have absorbed this while in his presence. A very cld fellow, however. They say that cold means you're evil, but don't beleive any of that." He said with a slight grin.
"Anyways, I want you to take this orb." At this he went to a shelf next to his chair and picked up two orbs, one a bright gold and another a solid cyan. He gave them to Sypha, who's face lit up immediately. Quickly reaching for them, he touched the cyan one, which near instantly lost all of it's cool in a cloud of bright blue mist. The mist trailed towards his hand where it was absorbed by Sypha. Shocked, Sypha looked at the man. He had a smile on his face as he was watching Sypha. Sypha suddenly noticed that it became very cold, and started to shiver.
"Don't worry about it, it will pass quickly for you."
"What are y--" Sypha was cut off by the mans voic which he projected with much power this time.
"The orbs are carriers of magic. That cyan orb was for you, as it matches your affinity, the stronger one anyways. Take this gold one."
Sypha slowly reached towards the sphere, and as soon as he touched it, it erupted with a golden smoke. The smoke trailed towards his hand where it was absorbed into his body.
"Be on your way then, Sypha. Those orbs are rechargeable, so if you feel a bit off, try holding one and focusing on it." At this, the mangestured towards the door, and, and cut Sypha off at every word.
"There is an open feild near here, go there and see if you can do anything with your power." The man returned to the shelf, picked up a book and started reading it on his chair. Confused and cold, Sypha left the hut to find the meadow.

((Hmm... A 16 on the Mary-Sue-ometer. Not bad at all))

I warn you, this is large. Very large...
Jack's Elder Visit, and the Corruption

Heh... It's odd how things can change on you like this. Up to now, I would have ignored anyone that thought magick was real. It defies physics, science, and all reasoning altogether.

I appoached the house of the Elder, and entered into the very same room that David and the young girl had been.

He looked at me with a stern face.

"I suppose that, like your friend earlier, you have a basic understanding of magick?"

"No, I don't I'm afraid" I answered. I looked downwards, as if trying to avoid his gaze. "In fact, had anyone spoken about magick to me little less than a day ago, I would've just laughed at them. But, considering the circumstances..."

"You remind me of an old inhabitant of this island," The Elder answered, turning around to a bookcase behind him.

"What?"

"It is not important. Not now, at least"

"What did you mean by- ARGH!" A sudden blast of pain hit my upper torso, and quickly swept throughout my body. My legs became useless, and I collapsed onto my knees and hands. Even then I struggled to hold myself up, as my arms seared with pain, shaking violently. I felt sick. My head span. My cries of pain became slurred. And then...

It disappeared.

Just like that. All the pain just went from my body. I slowly stood up, checking if my legs could take my weight before standing on them again.

"So... It appears you are affected as well..." The Elder said. From his tone of voice I could tell that what I was about to hear wasn't going to be good news...

"What do you mean, affected?" I enquired, as not to delay the inevitable.

"This island was once a beautiful place, inhabited by various people and creatures. Civilisations spanned the island far and wide. But... Ever since that, monstrosity, fell from the sky, the island became, "infected", you could say." I raised my arm, and was about to ask, but he carried on. "A great plague spread across this island. Those that came into contact with this vile, "infection", reacted almost instantly. Some would fall into a coma-like state..."

My thoughts instantly changed to Takkun.

"...and others, become corrupted. It appears that you are showing symptoms of the latter"

"Corrupted..." I repeated. I didn't know what he meant, but I knew that it wasn't good. "What will become of me, then. Have others that have been affected survived?"

"As for the corruption, we do not know. Many report outbursts of extreme pain, each lasting longer and beoming more and more painful. When death draws near, the pain does not stop, and the sufferer's skin will start to darken. Many do not live longer than a few hours at this point."

"And for survivors?"

"None that we know of..."

I felt a wave of hopelessness wash over me. So was I destined to sit here and face my own death?

"...But, there may be a chance." The Elder said.

"What would this be? Anything!" I said. I tried to mask it, but desperation still seeped into my voice.

"As I said earlier, you remind me of an old inhabitant. When that object fell from the sky, we left it alone, but shortly after he came to this island, he volunteered to explore it. But, when he returned, he was different. He had been infected."

I listened intently, not to miss a single detail.

"When he returned, he kept his distance from everyone. A once joyous and carefree man, he became secluded and silent. The only time he spoke was to warn us about the object. Or, as he called it, the 'Fenrir'. Soon, he deemed himself too dangerous to remain in the village, and left, vowing to return once he had figured out a cure. We have not seen him since..."

"And how long was that?"

"Seven years".

Suddenly, my odds did not seem so good. It looked like whoever it was, he didn't return for a reason...

"In which direction did he go? I must find this man," I said, the desperation much clearer in my voice.

"North, towards the mountains. But you won't get far, not in your current state,"

"What do you mean?" I asked. "Does this corru-"

"I'm sorry to have shocked you, but it appears in telling you of the corruption, you have forgotten why you came to see me..."

I thought for a moment, and remembered. "Heheh. Magick,"

"Yes. It is time for you to awaken the power that slumbers within you. Let me see..." He walked forward, stopping just infront of me. Reaching out with both hands, he clasped the sides of my head, his eyes closed, as if trying to read my mind. He pulled back. "Hmm... You even share the affinities of this man," He muttered. Before I got a chance to inquire, he continued to speak. "A Rain Mage. A combination of the affinities Flow and Atmos. Controller of both Water and Air..."

"Rain Mage, eh?" I repeated.

"Hold this," The old man said, handing me the stave. He walked behind me, put both hands back on my head, and spoke "This man seeks the powers of magick within him. Let them to be free to him, for good or for ill, and let him understand that the only bad mage is a weak one." He touched my forehead. "Awaken. Awaken. Awaken."

I felt as if... a huge burden had been lifted off of me. I felt lighter, as if at any moment I could lift off the ground entirely. Another feeling washed through me, literally. I felt as if waves were passing through my body. I could see the sea in my minds eye, with strong gusts of winds comanding the air.

I opened my eyes. The elder was already back by the bookshelf, pick out pieces of old paper. He walked back over to me.

"I will teach you four spells, that apply to your affinities. As I said to your friend, magick is aa powerful force. It takes the energy that it needs, and only that energy. Nothing more, nothing less. Over exert yourself, and you will kill yourself"

I nodded.

"The spells I shall teach you are: the ability to hover, the spell of a cutting wind, how to fire water as a projectile, and the spell to breathe underwater,".

Again, I nodded. As with David, the old man lent over, and whispered the magic words into my ear. I repeated them, making sure that I would not forget them. "Thank you,"

I turned to face the door, and began to walk forwards. I was stopped.

"There is one thing, however. One thing you must know about that girl."

I turned around to face him. "What about her?" I asked.

"You must kill her. Get rid of her, quickly!" He said. His voice was angry, but at the same time, somewhat fearful. I was confused.

"A young, defenceless girl?"

"Listen, she's not who you think she is!" He replied. "She came from that 'Fenrir', and Macrone insisted that it was not of human construction!"

"Macrone?!" I answered back, in shock. "My father was here?!"

"Focus, young man! Think about it! If this girl was truly on that ship, she is no human being! I recommend you dispose of her while you still can!"

I gave it some thought, and answered. "Not right now,"

"This is a grave error. You must-"

"I will not attack unless there is a reason to. Even if someone is human or not," I said, a more commanding tone to my voice. "I have more pressing matters to attend to,"

With that, I left. I did not understand why he wanted to kill the girl so badly. Perhaps something happened when she visited him. I don't know, but right now is not the time to think about it. I have to cure myself of this Corruption. More importantly, I have to find my father.

Summary

Jack enters house to gain spells, and get's struck by a bolt of pain, which is revealed to him by the Elder to be the effects of Corruption, which has infected him and Takkun after boarding the ship. Jack learns of a man who encountered a similar plight, and learns that this man left seven years ago in search of a cure. His magick is awakened, and he learns he also shares the same affinities as the man in question. The Elder warns Jack that they have to kill the girl, revealing that Macrone searched the 'Fenrir", and insisted it was not human. Jack leaves to the north in pursuit of this man, Macrone. His father.

(( Just a quick note, I'll be editing this soon to have my main point. ... I forgot. Oh yeah! Mary Sue. I (going on a limb here) think I've written David well enough to avoid true sue-ishness. Haven't I? tell me if I have. Also, I lost my post here! So ANGRY! And what's with the orbs?))
David in the caves with Vampires

David reached the top of the steep mountain. There stood a cave in front of him. David stood before it. He hoped there were no rats in it. He hated rats. He drew his sword, and pushed inwards. On, and on, and on the caves went. Almost endless. After about ten minutes walking, David saw the path split. One side had a skull lying in front of it, the other, the bones of said skull, and five dots on the wall. .:: . David took this path without hesitation. ((My old post had this bit noticeably extended...))

On and on, he went. Suddenly, he was in a enourmous cavern, filled with a purplish light. It emanated from the centre of the cavern- where a dais was. Upon this dais was an altar, and on the altar, a small box- giving off all the light. Advancing slowly, he moved towards it- noticing that the rocks here were shaped almost like crypts- but that was silly, right?

As he got closer to the box, he saw it was blood-slicked and rusted. What was inside, god only knows. A rush in the air from behind him. David waved his sword, and moved closer to the box. He reached out for it, when a voice stopped him. "I wouldn't touch that if I were you. " David span, and there was a tall figure dressed in black. His long white hair ran down to his shoulders, and to almost his stomach. His skin was pale, and his eyes held intelligence, and apathy, within them.

"David! I must say, it's a pleasure to have you here at last. Welcome home! We've all been waiting for you anxiously."
"What? Home? How do you know my name?" David was feeling uneasy.
The figure smiled- and David saw a frightening glance of long pointed fangs. "Why David! I of all people should you know. Every man should know his son!"

David blinked- and then whispered his voice low- "Son? Son? But that means... you're my father... That can't be possible..."
The tall albino beamed- not a pleasant sight. "But of course you are my son! Who else but your father would know about the five dots on your back! I should know- I put them there!" David sank to his knees, shaking. "But, you're a... a... vampire! Shouldn't I be one as well?"
The man frowned. "It's an odd one, yes. I guess your human mother must have had something to do with it."
"Mother? Where is she? Is she here?" "No. She was just a human, after all. Here, we are all rather above that."
"I'm a monster," David groaned. "a monster. And what do these five dots mean?" His father, for it was now undeniable, tapped his forehead. "No, not a monster," said he. "You are a Demor. David Demor, son of Varen Demor, to be specfic. And the five dots, hey signify you are a member of the freres de sangue- The Blood Brothers."

David sat there, and tears began to roll down his face. This was too much for him. He was a monster. "Gah!" he screamed. In a rage, he pulled his sword up, and ran at his father. Varen just stood there, his face emotionless. David swang the sword, and Varen blurred- "Nice try"- David spun- how was he that fast? He swung again, and Varen ducked under the lethal blow. David, sick of this, brought the blade down in a deadly overhead, capable of cleaving armour and flesh alike. Varen looked up quickly, and caught the blade with his hands. With a small grunt, he twisted the blade, and tore it from David's hands. Then, he doubled up his fists and punched David- who crumpled like a discarded sock.

"My son, I'm worried about you. That was rather pathetic, don't you agree?" His face was that of pity, and his hands were uncut. David rolled, but Varen stepped on him, and pointed the blade at his throat. "Any more questions? I'd like to get on with my business."
David, in agony, managed to ask- "What are the Blood Brothers?" His father nodded. "A good question, and one I will answer. We are assassins, murderers, theives and spies. We are the darkness behind the door, we are the man behind the shadows. We are all vampires- but we all work for whoever pays us. And the five dots? That was your next question, yes?" David barely nodded. "Well, the five dots should really be six. They represent out leaders. One at the top, two below, and three below that. But the first dot has been left off for a long time now. Our leader disappeared a while ago. He will return... we don't know when. But the scar symbolizes the fact you serve us. And me. I am number three. I'm one of the joint co-rulers of this clan. You will yourself enjoy a position similar to mine, in time..."

David frowned. "You sick monster. I don't want to serve you." From his hand, he revealed his one-shot, and fired it at Varen- hitting him in the arm. Varen screamed in rage, and David quickly got out and began to run.

Another dark shadow appeared in front of him. A shorter, more wiry man with dark hair. "I'm number six. I'm the least important of the rulers, but still the second most important here. And... goodnight, David." He brought his fist down on David's head. David whirled, and collapsed- his consciousness fleeing. He heard his father speak- "Now David, there's someone I'd like you to meet...", and then he fell to the darkness.

Summary- David is in the caves. Walking long, he comes across what is probably the sanguine chest. He comes across a man who turns out to be his vampiric father, and is captured by the vampires there. Several key plot points are revealed. Recommend that you read it all.

((Oh, right. You didn't know about the orbs.))

Orbs: Storage units for magic. A blank orb is clear. When filled with magic, it becomes the color of the corresponding magic. Orb size is directly proportional to the amount of energy it can store. To draw magic from an Orb, one must place a hand on it, and focus, drawing it out. There is no danger in this, but drawing too much magic will result in an overload of magic, (where one draws beyond their capacity.) and the user in question must discharge quickly, or die.

Some colors missed by UZ:
White: Primal Magic, usable by anyone.
Black: Doesn't obey the rules of capacity. can store very large amounts of magic. Any magic put in is converted to Primal magic.

((hope that explains things.))
Fenrir and Emmy

Emmy woke up, hungry. This was the hunger from before. No food could sate it. She walked out into the neighboring forest. She placed her palm on a tree, and closed her eyes. The tree made cracking sounds... and slowly withered. After the tree was thoroughly dead, Emmy opened her eyes, and smiled; full. She went back over to the beach, where her ship was waiting. She climbed the rungs of the ladder, and went down the hatch. Taking out an orb from her backpack, she held it in front of her, and it illuminated the way. After walking through several hallways, she came to her destination: The Core room. In the core room were three orbs. One, was 8 metres in diameter. This was the central Orb. It was Clear, powered down to 0%. the other two were 4 meters in diameter, and a fiery orange. Under those, the meter said they were at 78% each. Taking the Black orb from her backpack, she touched it to each of the orange orbs until they read 50%. Taking this, she attached the black orb (now glowing with white runes.) with one of the cables in the toolbox found below the control panels. After a while, the energy was transferred, and the meter said 15% under the big orb. After setting some switches, she activated the power, and with a low hum, the lights (and AC) came on. Placing the toolbox carefully into her pack, she walked back to the main deck, and from there to the Control Deck. The room was now lit, and the controls were in the proper positions. Emmy dusted off the portrait, and sat down. Adjusting the controls for flight, she warmed up the ship. With a low hum, it rose up out of the dark waters. She flew it to a clearing near the village, and gently landed it. After adjusting the controls again, she switched off the power, and made her way out. She stopped by another tree, and absorbed that. She then snuck into the inn and went to bed.

Diary Entry 2

I'm glad I got Fenrir operating a little. of course, with such low power... Anyway, I still believe that the 'Sanguine Chest' is the answer to my energy problems. I'll see if Jessika is going after David, and if she is, I'll be joining her. If not, oh well.
I found my toolbox. <3

What was in the toolbox:

8- wrenches, different sizes.
1- Hammer; doubles as a weapon.
1- Big bottle of acid. (tried some on the wood floor, and it ate through.)
2- screwdrivers
10- crystal cables. each are about 10 meters long.
1- Funnel
3- empty Orbs, 1 inch in diameter.
1- Torch, which can also be used as a flamethrower.
30- Orbs, orange, 2 inches in diameter. used to power torch.
1- serrated knife. 8 inches.

I plan to question the Elder again about what he saw. I really do want to know how to use my powers more... I can feel them calling.

Jessika approached the small hut and walked through the door. It was almost night, and the sun was an eerie orange hanging onto the horizon.
"Jessika, isn't it?" asked the Elder.
"Yes sir" Jessika replied.
"Good, good. I've heard great things of you" Jessika was confused at this.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"I get minimal information about other islands here on Delacrimo, but I get enough to know about you" he replied. Jessika blushed a little at this, but said nothing.

"Right, my dear. I suppose you know a bit or two about magick?"
"Well, I've heard a little bit about it; rumors you know, but nothing much"
"That's fine, that's fine" said the Elder. "Give me your palm"
Jessika held out her palm, and the Elder gently but firmly gripped it with his fingers. After a minute or so, he let go.
"You contain elements of Pale and Nature; a Frost Mage. A fine combination" said the Elder. "Lean forward, and I shall awaken your magick"
Jessika leaned forward and closed her eyes. The Elder placed his fingers on her head, and a soaring, windswept feeling rushed through her. Jessika gasped at the overwhelming sense of power she now felt inside her. The Elder let go of her.
"This is most astonishing..." he said. "You have un unnatural amount of magick locked up inside you... this is a very good thing."
Jessika just stared at him, totally shocked.
"There are a bunch of spells that apply to your skills... I will teach you four of them now." said the Elder. "Firstly, there is Chill, which can instantly freeze objects on contact. Then there's Ice Shard, which allows you to shoot and create easily maneuverable icicles from your palm. Next is Bulk Freeze, which builds up hard, lightweight layers of ice over your arms, making them much stronger. Lastly is Snowscape, which allows you to change the weather into a winter wonderland."
Jessika took all of this is, memorizing it all. The Elder went through the pronunciations of incantations, and then Jessika stood up to have a go.
"Sivorino Estafaro!" shouted Jessika. Her hand glowed and bright blue, and then shot a sharp shard of ice across the room, which embedded itself in the wall.
"Very good!" exclaimed the Elder. "I suggest you practice these while you're here on the island. Soon enough, you will be good enough to learn even more spells."
"Thanks you Elder" said Jessika thankfully, and left the hut smiling.

Summary
Jessika finds out she is a Pale Nature magickian; a Frost Mage. She learns some spells, and find out she has an unusual amount of magick inside her.

Sypha, after concentrating hard with no yield, went back to the elder to learn what magicks he can use. The elder took him in and, with a slightly embarrassed look, told him what to do.

"Having two ether affinities and mind as one of them let's you use a silent cast. It's just like using a regular spell, but no power words need to be said. It takes a bit more focus, though, but I bet you cann manage."
"Don't worry, I have a strong enough mind to manage that." said Sypha
"Great! Now the first spell I'll teach you is the Zone of Cold Air. Slwoing down movements on everyone with a distance of you, it can be helpful for escapes or ambushes. Weak Atmos mages will freeze up completely, but higher level Atmos mages can shrug it off easier than anyone, and can even disspell it.

The next spell Freeze, which should be self explanatory. Howeer, it's not that strong when used by young mages. Try it on water and you can make a platform.

Since you have a more powerful bias towards the Pale affinity, I'll teach you a more powerful Pale spell."
"Alright. You know best." Sypha said with a shrug.
"Alright. The last Pale spell I'll teach you is the Shard Weapon. You will spawn a powerful weapon made out of ice in you hands. If anyone but you wields it, it will crumble in their hands. Lightweight and easy to use.

The last spell I will tell you is Telepathy. You can send thoughts to others and, if they are willing, you can pick up their thoughts. Good for quiet conversations, such as when you have to sneak past some monsters or something." He said with a sarcastic but warm grin. "Alright then, move along."

Sypha left again, hoping his new spells would work.

((Time for another diary!))
Emmy's Diary 3

I hate killing people. I really do.

I was browsing through Fenrir's Library, and found some scribblings by my mother. Since they looked very fragile, I'm copying them down here.

--The Guardians--
11 guardians were cast into the world, each far away from each other, to protect the essence of Magic. They must be brought back together when a time of need arises.

Their leader will bring forth life. He will rain down destruction on our enemies.

--------------------

The rest describes what the Guardians can do.

-Each guardian has only /one/ affinity.
-Each guardian has unbelivable amounts of magic.
-Some guardians are disguised with a 'fake' affinity.

The rest is too hard to make out.
I don't remember my parents. My mothers name is 'Vanessa'.
That's a nice name.

-more on topic; I really have to get to Aegis. I have a bad feeling about what may be happening.

...and I think it might be Astral, again.

((Hope you like it. This is meant to be read after Jack's and I conversation.))

Jessika and the Beast. Text here.

Jessika walked away from the hut, a feeling of totally bliss inside her. She felt like she could do -anything-...
"Where's David?" she asked herself. Jessika gracefully walked to the ship and up the gangplank.
She searched the cabins and dining room, but found no-one. "David?" she called out. She was starting to get worried.
She ran back to the hut, where the Elder sat meditating where he had been before.
"Have you seen David?" asked Jessika hurridly. The Elder looked at her sternly.
"He's gone to the mountain caves. I suggest you do not follow him"
Jessika turned quickly around and ran out the door, heading towards the mountains.
The Elder sighed. "Why are the pretty ones always so arrogant?" he said to himself.

Up from the mountaintop, a dark figure peered out, and saw a figure climbing it. "Finally" He breathed to himself.
"But only one? What a shame." He turned, and pulled his hood back on. Then he preceded into the caves.

The steep hill covered in gravel slipped as Jessika ran up it at full speed.
She was sweating like crazy and her back was killing her, but she continued to run as fast as she could.
She had no idea where David was, so she was relying on the fall of the terrain to guess which way he went.
She ran up the slopes and ended up on the pinacle of one of the larger mountains.
Ahead of her, a huge cave opened up on the side of the rock.
The cave was ten times taller than her at the entrance, and got darker and darker the further in you were.

Jessika approached it slowly, drawing an icicle from her hand as she did, and entered the cave.
The cave was dense, with huge rises and falls across the floor and the ceiling.
She swiftly moved across the rock faces and through an entrance to the right, still following the lie of the land.
Through this entrance, a large cavern loomed. Four smokey torches gave an eerie flickering light off.

At the end of the passage stood a shadowy figure. He was about the same height as David, but his hood was up,
and his back was turned. "David?" said Jessika, still cautious.
The figure turned. He had David's face- but it was slightly different. More... pronounced.
His hair was pitch-black, and he wore a lopsided smile.

"I'm afraid David is not available for you to talk to, Jessika darling." Words silky smooth, but dripping menace.
Jessika knew something was wrong. Something had happened to David. She had to take this calmly and prepare for the worst.
"What's happened to you?" she asked.
"Me? Me? Nothing's happened to me. I feel great. Fine!" He danced a manic jig. "Yes! Fine is what I am!"
Jessika wasn't sure what to do. David had been demented somehow, and she wasn't sure what to do with him.
"What are you doing up here?" she said delicately.
"I was waiting for you Jessika. For you." A shudder ran down his spine, and he straightened.
"Ah yes, an introduction is in order. I'm Vade! Pleased to meet you. The name is ironic, you see. It's a rearrangement of Dave. And that's what I am. I'm David- but I'm the proper version, as it were."
Vade grinned- and his long pointed fangs gleamed."Now, I'm with the vampires who live here.
Oh, and we'd be much obliged if you handed that little girl over to us."

Jessika was agast. "Never!" she said fiercely.
"Oh, you'll hand her over, all right. Because, that's where I come in. Either you hand her either freely, and we depart, and leave you alone... or we come down and kill you all, and take her anyway."
Vade's left eye was twitching madly. "You have no choice. You can't defeat us." "I'd rather die trying!" said Jessika.
"Trying what? To defeat us? Well, go ahead."
Vade flung back his cloak, and spread his arms wide. "One free shot, go on. You deserve it. I know you and David had a thing going on."

Jessika stood motionless in the entrance, the sharp icicle still clutched in her hand.
Vade noticed her standing still. He got angry. "Go on! Stab me! Stab me, and you might get David back! Stab me now!"
Jessika stood frozen, unable to move. A silent tear rolled down her cheak. "Wentrana Sedvulta" said Jessika.
The air suddenly seemed to go frigid, and ice began to form on the ceiling.
A low rushing sound could be heard approaching them...
Suddenly, a huge wave of snow rushed into the chamber, whipping round at a high speed.
Jessika dissappeared into storm, completely hidden.
When the snow settled, the chamber was frozen, and Jessika was gone from sight.

Vade roared. "It doesn't matter if I can't see you! Swing at me! Do it!" His arms were still splayed out wide.
Jessika leaped up from a pile of snow behind Vade.
She smashed him in the back of the head with a large ice-covered forearm.
Vade collapsed to the ground, twitching and shaking, blood pouring everywhere.
Jessika leapt onto his back and pinned him to the ground.
She put a shard of ice to his throat.

Vade laughed, and laughed. It was disturbing. In the background, a shrill whistle was heard.
Suddenly, Vade's head shuddered, and snapped back. His wound had healed.
He grinned, and suddenly, with unexpected ease, threw Jessika off him.

Vade whispered under his breath, and all the lights went out- it was pitch-black.
Jessika scrambled around on the cave floor, trying to get her bearings.
She found a wall and stood up, looking around to try and see any movement.
Outside, there was a deep rumbling. It grew louder, and then cut off.

Vade listened, and then gestured again. All the light came back with a flash- blinding the whole room for a moment.
Then, the shadowy room was visible again- and Vade stood directly in front of Jessika. "Boo" He said.

Jessika reacted without thought, driving a huge icicle straight through his stomach.
The icicle plunged straight into Vade, who began to shimmer. Vade shook, and disappeared into shadow.
The real Vade suddenly stepped out right next to Jessika, and brandished two swords (David's shamshirs) at her.
"Nice try poppet. But that wasn't the real me. Now, I've been going easy on you. Go and get the girl now!"
Vade stood there, his blades crossed across Jessika's throat. "Will you do it?"
"Yes..." said Jessika, panicking.
"Good."

Vade sheathed the swords by his sides. Jessika gasped for air as the swords fell down.
Vade smiled, and drew a long wicked dagger from behind his back. Vade grasped Jessika's arm. "I'll make sure you don't forget."
He held her firmly, and on her forearm, with the knife, made a series of small light cuts.
Jessika shrieked and pulled at her arm. Vade let go, and she grasped it in pain.
On her arm, Vade had written "The Girl"- using his knife.
Vade grinned, and it was horrific to behold.

Suddenly, the twitch in his eye became uncontrollable. "No!" He yelled. "NO!"
Vade sank to his knees, holding his head. His eyes began to tear up, and his scratched his face with his long nails.
Jessika watched in horror as Vade began to have a fit, violently, agonisingly seizing up.
Just then, he seemed to recover. Vade stood up- only it wasn't Vade. White hair gleaming, tears in his eyes, David now stood before Jessika.

"David!" Jessika yelled, flinging her arms around him.
David silently took Jessika in, and kissed her on the lips, long and tenderly.
"Jessika. You must... run away. Leave me here... get the others... break the Sanguine Chest.... It's the only way."
"Okay" she said, understanding of what he was telling her.
Suddenly, she started crying, and put her head against David.
David had to force her back. "No! Jessika! You must run now! Vade will come back soon... I can't keep him away forever."
"I love you, David" said Jessika, eyes gleaming.
David smiled- and there were no fangs there. "I... I love you too Jessika. "

He leant forward, and kissed Jessika one last time- and while doing so, he cast a spell- and ran his golden hand over Jessika's arm, removing the vile marks.
He stepped back. "I think if you want to escape, you'll have to knock me out."
"When you break the box, I might live on as David. I might be Vade forever. If so, I want you to kill me. Understand?"
Jessika nodded silently, lips pressed together and tears streaming down her face.

David nodded, and handed Jessika his zweihander. "Over the back of the head, with the hilt. Make it hard and fast. And, goodbye Jessika."

Jessika kissed David with a new essence, something deep and emotional that she'd never done before.

She swung the blade round and hit David square on, knocking him out cold.
Jessika looked up at David, tears in her eyes. She ran from the chamber, ran from it all, ran from the trouble and the worry and the hurt.
She ran down the mountain and stopped at the bottom, looking up as she sobbed tears of lost love, and then ran into the night.

*****
"Good afternoon, Jessika." Emmy said in a cold voice. What was happening now?

Summary- Oh dear. David's gone evil. His vampire side has been awakened, and he's not a nice chap. Jessika comes looking for him, and gets soundly whupped by Vade (The vampire half). After a moments weakness, David returns for a minute- to tell Jessika to get the others, to destroy the sanguine chest. Jessika knocks David out, and flees. It ends with Emmy mysteriously popping up in front of a heart-broken Jessika.

((A conversation with me and ChaoStar, featuring Macrone. I guess this'll be my last post, unless I can do something when I'm briefly at home on Friday))

((Right. If the last one was long, this one is huge... Then again, it covers some of both Emmy and Jack's backstory.))
Macrone

Jack continued walking through the forest. It was dark; little amounts of light could puncture the canopy of leaves. The light that did get through allowed for a little visibility, but there wasn't enough to see too far ahead. It hadn't been long since the last strike from the corruption, and as the elder had said, it was much more intense.

"Good morning, Jack."

"Wha!" Jack said, shocked. He turned to his side, to find the little girl from the ship. "Where did you appear from then?"

"You should be more aware." She smiled. "I was right next to you." Jack felt slightly embarressed, being too far into his own thoughts he had not realised the girl walking beside him. "I, too was strolling around."

'I've got things on my mind, thanks' He thought. Although, something flagged up in his mind that something wasn't right. "And... what's a young girl doing strolling around this island?" he asked.

"Why can't a 'young' girl stroll around an island? I can defend myself." Emmy said, hefting her umbrella.

"Hmm... I've never personally thought of an umbrella as a weapon..." Jack replied.

"Lets hope I don't have to use it." She smiled. Her smile reminded Jack of David, from the last time he decided to have some "fun" with his zweihander.

Jack looked at her for a second, suprised at what he had heard from a nine-year-old. 'She acts older than she looks... I better stay on my guard, just incase. Although, I really don't see what that elder meant by "not human"' Jack thought, questioning himself about the girl. "Right. Hm... So these are the mountains of this island" Jack said, turning towards the large mass of rock not far ahead.

"So... what did you come here for?" the girl enquired "You do know it isn't safe around here...?"

"It's safer than what I'm facing" He replied. Obviously refering to the corruption, and not to her. 'Not safe? I should be telling her that...'

"Oh?"

"The ship we found you on," Jack started to explain. The very thought made his hair stand on end.

"...Fenrir?" She said.

"Yes. It was... It had... Something on it. I can't explain it, apart from 'Corruption'." He looked downwards, towards the path. "And, it looks like Takkun was affected as well".

"Oh." Emmy's eyes darkened a little at this. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine, at the moment, at least." He looked at the underside of his arm. While it was white and fleshy, like normal, small black lines had begun to appear. "But, at this rate, that's not going to keep up"

"Can you kneel down for a bit?"

"Er..." Again, something seemed odd about the girl's actions.

"Trust me."

Jack knelt down, although wary of the little girl's command

Emmy placed her hands on Jack's forehead, and closed her eyes. A white light surrounded him, and he felt much, much better ((Eat your heart out David...)). "There. You should be fine for a while more. I can't heal you fully... yet."

"Thank You..." Jack looked at the back of his arm again. The black lines were still there. Whatever spell had been cast, it hadn't healed the corruption. The only thing that it really could've done was slow it down. 'A little bit strong for a young girl as well' Jack's mind contemplated, 'Something definately isn't right with her'. He got up. 'But, at least this'll help'

"Just... One thing" Jack asked.

"Yes?" Emmy replied.

Jack looked at Emmy, focusing particularly on her eyes. "Your eyes... Seem to, well... Change colour." In a foolish question, he inquired "Is that normal for you?"

"Oh, yes. Don't pay much attention to that." Emmy laughed, and her eyes; just briefly, flashed crimson.

"Okay... You said you couldn't fully heal me?" he said, deciding to change the subject.

"Yes, I'm a little low on power. As you see, I've been eating a lot..." She said, gesturing at the dead trees.

"Eat... Eating?" Jack looked about. "But... These are just withered trees. There's no fruit on these either..."

She laughed. "I don't eat the trees... I eat their life." She gave a wicked smile. "But don't worry. I won't eat you."

"And how do you eat their life?" Jack said, more interested than confused.

"I just touch them, and draw their power out."

"Could you... demonstrate?"

"Of course." Emmy walked over to a verdant, green and alive tree, and placed her palm on it. Closing her eyes, she focused. In about 5 seconds, the tree had shriveled to a withered husk.

"Amazing..." Jack said in awe.

"Sadly, the trees aren't very nutritious. Animals or even people are a lot more healthy. ... and tasty."

"Hmm... I would've thought so" Jack replied.

"The more powerful, the more energy. Now. where are we going?"

"As I said, I'm here to try and find a cure" His mind flashed to thoughts of his father. "And so, I'm in pursuit of a man that may have made one"

"Your father?" Emmy asked.

"Ye- How did you know that?" Jack was shocked. Mind reading hadn't even passed his mind. "How?!"

"... I'm good at guessing." Emmy replied.

"Right. I only know however that he went in this direction. So... Trying to find him could be a little difficult... But, I must try" Jack said, looking towards the mountains before them.

"Can you give me your hand again?" Emmy gestured for him to give her his hand. After seeing what Emmy had already done during this encounter, Jack was more interested than wary. He knelt down and put his arm forward, carefully watching.

Taking his hand firmly, she took out a knife.

Jack's first instinct was to panic. "What are you planning to do with that?!" He tried to pull his arm back, but there was no use. Her grip was incredibly strong for a nine-year-old.

"I'm going to cut you a bit. It shouldn't hurt too much." Emmy said, calmly.

"And why are you going to do... Wait" Jack smiled. Taking the knife, she made a tiny cut, so a droplet of blood was revealed. "Using my blood to trace my father. Clever..."

She took out a vial, and gently squeezed the cut, so more drops would fall in. Waving her hand over the cut, it healed itself. "Ok. it seems you were going in the right direction. the mountains."

Pulling up his arm, Jack inspected the "wound". Or, where it had been. It had completely healed. There was no pain. It even had the fresh scent of pine. "Right then, which way?"

Emmy pointed with her umbrella toward the mountains. "There. Surprisingly, it's very close to where I parked Fenrir."

"Hmm... Convienient" He stood up. "Right then. Lead the way, if you will"

Emmy and Jack walked for a while, only pausing once, so Emmy could recover. The trail was largely straight, a few turns here and there. Occasionally there would be a break in the trees, which gave a short gap of light, between each tunnel of trees. At last, they reached the base of the mountain.

"Is this it then?"

"He's here. Further into the mountain. I suppose he's hiding from the resident monsters." Emmy said, a slight hint of anger to her voice. "I don't know your fathers inventions, so you should take a look around."

Jack walked up to the mountain side. Something wasn't quite right about it, he could tell. But what... He knocked upon the side, and began checking some of the rocks in the wall. One rock in particular was differently coloured, a more reddish colour compared to the background. Jack pulled this rock

The ground began to tremble, as if an earthquake was happening. It was strong enough to clear Jack off of his feet, while Emmy was able to stand up through it. The rock face began to slowly move. Cracks appeared from the rock, and shot upwards, all the way up the wall. Dust and stones rained down from the hill, as the two sides of the wall moved apart

"Good boy." Emmy said, in a patronising voice. "You found his hiding place."

"Well, at least we definately know we're in the right place.." He was confused by what she meant by “Good boy”, something that indicated that she would be older than him. Jack looked at Emmy, and nodded. He then preceeded to enter the cavern. Emmy followed.

It was a completely different environment to the island. Brass and Copper pipes layered the walls, some of which were emitting steam and 'wooshing' sounds. It was cool, as if a mild breeze floated around the room. Towards the right was a fountain, filled with what appeared to be clear water.

Emmy went over to one of the pipes emitting steam, and put her hand in. The steam turned to water.

A small portion of the wall on the left was absent of Pipes, and instead contained a large quantity of scribbles. Jack went to take a look at it, as Emmy continued to absorb the heat of the pipes.

"This is... Incredible!" Jack looked even closer at the wall, inspecting the complex formulae. "These are amazing... He's even worked out how to convert magick into useable energy. Able to power machinery and other objects..."

Emmy heard Jack talking, and came over to the wall with the formula. "I'm full." she remarked.

Jack's attentioned turned to a stone table towards the bottom end of the room. It appeared to have plans for a shield on it, but they were incomplete. He leaned closer to the table, only to see something out of the corner of his eye...

...a body.

"No... No. NO!" Jack shouted, running towards it

"What..?" Emmy turned and say what Jack was screaming about.

"He's dead" Jack crouched down beside the body, the skin blackened by corruption. The body lay in what was once a white shirt, stained brown by years of wear. His hair was grey, and withered.

"Not... quite..." The body replied

"You." Emmy said; eyes crimson.

"You're alive?" Jack said. A tear was still in his eye from the thought of his death. His happiness and relief quickly turned to anger. "Why? Why did you leave?!" He shouted. His life had been a mess ever since his father "died"

"Hmmph. He's your son? And you abandoned him? Typical." Emmy hissed.

"I was told you were dead!" Jack called, unaware of Emmy's comments

"I... Had to" Macrone replied. "I made... a grave... error" Emmy just looked blankly at him, her eyes a burning crimson. "I... was blind, my son... to the beliefs of... the Seros Elder.” He gasped for air, in pain due to his condition. "I was... asked to invent... for him. Unaware that my devices.... would lead... to Seros' demise"

Emmy raised her umbrella at Macrone, and a spear of white light illuminated the room... When the spear came into contact with him, the darkness inhabiting him and Jack left... and they were clean once again. "For your son, monster."

"Monster?" Jack said, unable to comprehend what the little girl meant

"Yes... Explain what you did on Fenrir, bastard"

"I... Could see that that ship, or "Fenrir", was not normal” Macrone began to explain, his voice stronger. He stood up and brushed himself off before continuing. "It isn't a human ship. It is too advanced to be one. The technological feats... But then... I came across this one" He said, pointing towards Emmy. "The only survivor”

Emmy just looked blankly at him.

"Jack, have you seen the strange habits of this girl?" He said, looking at his son. He then turned to Emmy. "Or should I say, Queen?"

Emmy was stunned from that comment.

"Queen?" Jack turned to face Emmy.

"True... so true." She said, folding her arms. "I'll continue from here. I had been in the control room, sleeping... when he entered." She looked at Macrone, angrily. “...He attacked me without warning. His magic was indeed strong. I was weakened from the crash and the Corruption... So to fend him off... I summoned the most powerful spells I had." She looked at her body. "... It took years of my life, reverting me to this form."

Jack looked at his father, unaware of the reasons behind his actions. "You attacked her? Why?"

"You were always naive, son. It seems that hasn't changed..." He said, with an odd smile. "I'm guessing you, in your trip to the 'Fenrir', never saw the inscription of Queen Esmerlda. Care to explain, your highness"

"Don't call me that.” She snapped. “There is a portrait in the control deck. Of me. The ship was of my own design, made for exploration... and combat.I set out looking for magical artifacts. One of the artifacts I found was a spell. The Corruption.I had attempted to summon it into a sealed container, to study it and see if it was of any military use.The spell worked... but the container was too weak to hold it. It blew a hole in my ship, and escaped. I landed near this island, where I spent my time repairing the ship. I had just finished my structural repairs when your father attacked me.I'm from Aegis; the sky-continent of Arstar. Whatever else... I don't really remember, thanks to him" She pointed at Macrone. The red light had faded from her eyes, and her normal color was back. She looked a little sad.

"Hmph... A believeable story" Macrone gave a chuckle. "Unless you think about the flaws," he said in a stern voice. Macrone started talking louder, a mad look in his eyes. "You heard why she came for that spell! For military reasons!"

"Military reasons? Are you implying that I want to conquer Arstar?" Emmy questioned.

Macrone completely ignored her, his temper rising. "And if they were expecting this spell to be taken back for testing, they would have made sure it's container was strong enough to hold it, wouldn't you! Not unless they used it! Released it! A perfect test to see it's military capabilities!"

"The container was the strongest we had! You're mad with hatred!" Emmy shouted back.

"And as you can clearly see, it's perfect for genocide! Terrorism!"

"I'm not a monster..." Emmy had a far-away look in her eyes. "I'm not a monster."

"I let you go last time, but this time, you won't LEAVE!" Macrone launched at Emmy, springing a knife from his pocket.

((Now. At this point, the story splits two ways. Mainly due to the fact that I was writing something when ChaoStar decidied to write something else, so there are now two alternative ways for this to go here. They both meet up at the same point, however.))

Emmy stepped forward, and grabbed his | He stopped just short of her, a look of pain

Emmy released the corpse, with a sad look. | He collapsed on the floor, blood pouring out onto

"Father... The corruption has already taken you... All that is left is a madman, who by blindly trying to save his country may have caused the war that ended it" Jack paused for a moment, giving time for it to soak in what had happened.
"Rest in Peace, father"

"I'm sorry, Jack. I really am." Emmy said. "It shouldn't have come to this."

Jack knelt down beside his father. "It, doesn't matter. You don't have to be sorry" He closed his eyes. "I lost my father nine years ago"

"...I see." Emmy replied.

He took a bottle from Macrone's pocket, of which contained a pale blue liquid.

"So that's what he used." Emmy said. It was a preventative potion, which would stop the corruption from worsening. "I hope you don't doubt me. If you want, you can avenge your father."

"And how would I do that?" Jack said, looking at her.

"Kill me, if you desire it." She said, looking straight back.

"Heh... You and I both know that won't happen" Jack replied. Even if he tried, he doubted he could even harm the girl. The healing power earlier was enough of a testament to her power.

"Of course. We should go find Jessika and David.” She turned towards the enterance. "To the ship?"

"Give me a minute. I'll catch up with you" Jack said, his voice low.

"Alright." Emmy walked out of the cave. Jack looked again at his father. While he lost the man that brung him up when he was 16, this man was still his father. He only wished he could've had a little bit of time with him before he died.

Jack was about to leave, before he noticed an envelope in Macrone's shirt pocket. He slowly pulled it out, noticing on the front was written his name. He opened the letter.

'To my dearest son Jack, who I hope to see one last time before I meet my deathbed. I write this letter due to this illness, of which I do not think I will survive. Even if I do, my mind is slowly deterierating. I doubt I will ever be the same from this point. And so, I will keep this letter close to my heart, as if you were still with me.

I am incredibly sorry for any problems I may have caused you after I left. But I had to; I had no choice. I was asked to invent for the Elder of Seros, to help him protect our land would it ever be threatened or attacked. However, soon before the completion of my greatest invention yet, I learnt of his true intentions. He meant to enslave the people of Seros, and using my inventions conquer Arstar. My own work... My life would lead to the enslavement of this world. And so, I left.

Taking my work with me, I set sail in my ship, The Juggernaut, with some friends to Delacrimo, an island to the East of Seros. I asked them to set sail back to Seros, and try to hide any evidence of my departure. I fear for their safety, however...

I discovered there was a ship here, named the Fenrir. A majestic ship; it's technology is fascinating. Highly advanced compared to Seros standards. I was able to take some equipment from the ship, to examine it closer. Perhaps I will be able to develop something incredible...

Jack, if you ever read this, then there is something I want you to have. It was my last invention, before leaving Seros, and had I finished it, it would be my greatest yet. The 'Control Glove', a device capable of giving it's user the power to control. It makes the user stronger, faster, and gives them the power to control even Time itself.

However, I had only reached the first stage of it's design by the time I left. I can't even bare to look at it even more; it is a momento to the damage I have caused to the people of Seros. But... I will relieve it unto you. I ask you to finish it for me. If I am not in this world anymore, consider it my dying wish.

I hope to see you again, but only Time will tell.

Macrone'

Jack wiped his eyes. Now was not the time for tears. He flipped over the letter, revealing instructions on the back of it. Following them carefully, he came across a black metal box. Slowly, he opened it, and pulled out a large bag.

Opening up the bag, he found it. His father's final work, the 'Control Glove'. It was a large metal brace, designed like an exoskeleton, that was meant to fit around one's lower arm. It was almost like highly developed armour. Jack placed it on his left arm. He tightened up the metal straps on the back. It felt lightweight, yet sturdy. It was thin enough to see the skin beneath it, but could easily block a sword from cutting through it.

Jack smiled. He was wrong. As long as he still had this glove, his father would still be with him. He vowed to finish his father's work, no matter what, and to one day return to Seros, to correct his father's mistake.

He walked towards the door, took one final look back, and left for the Fenrir.

Summary

Jack finds Emmy. Emmy seems strange to Jack. Emmy traces Macrone, and they both find his hidden 'workshop' at the bottom of the mountains. Macrone is alive (Just), and him and Jack are both healed of the corruption by a 'full' Emmy. Jack discovers that Macrone attacked Emmy on his journey aboard the Fenrir, of which left her in her form of a young child, due to the power of magic she had to use to defend herself. Macrone attacks Emmy, but is killed by her (or Jack, as I was going to write... Both of these are covered in the conversation). Emmy leaves for the Fenrir, but Jack stays for a minute, discovering a letter written to him by his father before the corruption drove him insane. Jack learns why he left, that the Juggernaut was built by him, and of the 'Control Glove', a device that when completed gives it's user the power to control Time (it's a long way off completion yet, however). Jack aquires the Control Glove, and leaves for the Fenrir.

((I was thinking of possibly sacrificing spells for upgrades for the Control Glove, such as making it stronger, or being able to block weak magick, etc. Some upgrades, say like a magickal shield, would of course use up magick...))

((Holy crap that was good story telling.

Now I want to discuss some things with the authority of ((ARSTAR)), and the regular RPers. I'm just wondering where the story will go from here. It seems open ended, but shouldn't we have basis? How about the next time four of us get on IRC we discuss and maybe do some RPing. For an RPG, the plot either makes or breaks the fun, so we need it to be slightly sturdy, like a foundation to house. The house can be laid out many ways, but the foundation is static and will provide stability to the house. </epic analogy>

And onto the use of magick, how powerful should it be? Also, Wwhat merits 'leveling up' or gaining new magicks? I don't want to be stuck with 4 spells the entire RP. Also, should the defining line of two affinies be crisp or should the dual affinities slur together to make new spells? (Such as having 'Fire blast' and 'Waterball' instead of 'Steam cannon' </example>) These are some points that I was pondering for a while.

Discuss.))

((Authority? No such thing. Everyone has the same authority, besides that Aphex is our DM, we just OK plot points with him. I do agree that we should solidify the plot.

(... I was thinking of going back to Aegis, as that's what my char wants to do.)

Magic... As shown, can be amazingly powerful. but only as powerful as the amount of energy that you have inside of you. Greater spells = greater tolls. I suppose the two affinities can be either, having two different spells, and being able to mix them.

...that's my opinion.))

(( I think that spells can be blurred between the two affinities you use... except in my rather unique case, where that would be impossible. I'm not the spell man, (I'm the weapons man), but I think that's alright.

As for plots, we have about twenty different points that have been raised that could be futher discovered. I think the overall goal is to get enough 'phat lewt' to go back to Seros and take over as the new leaders overthrow the Elders. But on top of that, we have many subplots: Emmy and Aegis, the First of the Six, the six hidden magicks, the control glove, David's evil half, David's mother, Jessika's real parents, David's relation to Marcone, Sypha's friend... and so on. Pick a few points and see if you can't work towards solving/answering them. You'll each have different goals, you may take different paths. So go nuts.

At the moment, the plot revolves around the corruption, the Fenris, and the Sanguine chest. What are you going to do about them? I'd tell you... but I'm the bad guy at the moment.

One more note. After those three points are solved, David intends to stay on Delacrimo for a while longer. To solve a few minor issues. You may stay with him, or you may go with Emmy and the Fenris, to where-ever they go. Whatever. It's your choice.

In closing, screw you. go nuts. ))

((

It's Fenrir! get it right. >=[ Anyway, overthrow the elders? Easy. XD

The six hidden magics are going to be a tricky business. Who the heck is the leader of this little party, anyway? Takkun? David?

((David was the 'leader' of the group before, as everyone followed after him, rode his ship, learned to fight from him, etc. But now he's gone all psycho-freaking boot-licking, it'll probably be me for the meanwhile. My character's a good leader, I think.))

((another Jack/Emmy convo.))
On the topic of the Control Glove

Jack walked into the libary, there were books everywhere. The libary was huge; isles all over the room, documenting everything within Aegis knowledge.

"Oh, hello, Jack." Emmy appeared behind him.

"Wha-"

"Again, be more on guard."

"You really have to stop doing that..." Jack said with a sigh of relief

"What brings you here?"

"The room, I guess;I need a place to examine something."

"Oh? May I join you in your examination?" Emmy was curious in what Jack could be so interested in.
"I do know a few things, so I'll help as much as I can."

"If you wish" Jack answered. "I'm looking at..."
He raised his left arm, "....this"

"Oh..." Emmy's eyes widened.
"It's rather similar to..." Emmy's eyes flickered. "...Aegis armor. My mother had a suit of such armor."
"...Your father made this, no?"

"Yes. He did, just before he left Seros. But... What about this Aegis Armour?"

"My mother, the ex-queen, had a suit of black armor. It would amplify her magic, making her spells much easier to cast. Recently, only small bits are used, due to the weight of the armor. I've been working with similar items. But out of cloth."
"...I think I can help you finish this."

"Hmm... Although my father's ambition was a little further than amplifing magic." Jack explained.

"Time?" Emmy interupted.

"He was designing this to completely amplify the user"

"...ah." Emmy looked troubled.

"...Their strength, agility, to the point where they can, as you guessed, can even escape Time's grasp"

"Well. I don't know about time." Emmy lied. "...but to amplify the body like that... will take a lot of magic." She explained.
"Shall we examine it?" Emmy pointed to a nearby table.

"Right then. Let's take a look at this thing..." Jack undid the fastenings on the underarm, and slid off the glove. He pulled up a chair, and sat down.

Emmy remained standing.

"Do you have any tools?" Jack queried.

"Of course." Emmy rummaged through her sack, and retrieved a large toolbox.

"Mind if I borrow some?

"What do you need?"

"A medium screwdriver, if you have one."
Emmy passed Jack a screwdriver.

"You know, you need some crystal for magic amplification. Perhaps fitting an orb into the palm would work."

"Perhaps we could give that a shot"

Taking a strap of leather and an orb, Emmy filled the orb, and then tied the leather to the orb. Taking the tied orb, she tied the two ends of the strap onto the palm of the gauntlet.
"...there."
"The orb should be touching you, when you fit your hand in."

"Hmm..."

"try it."

Jack put the Glove back on, and it felt right.
"Do we test it in here?"

"no. I have a room for that."

"Heheh... thought not. Had to check, though"
Emmy grabbed Jack's other hand, and dragged him out of the library. "this way." A hallway down, they reached a big double door.Emmy released Jack, and opened the doors with a hand gesture. "come on."

"So I guess this is some sort of training room, then?"

"right. see that target over there?" Emmy pointed across the large room."hurl a spell at it."

Jack closed his eyes; His thoughts turned to water, and the sea. He started charging power in his mind, and channeling it down his arm. The orb started to glow a deep blue.

Jack shouted at the top of his voice "Unda Amnis!"

A column of water blasted from Jack's arm, making a deep bass sound. When it reached the Dummy, it smashed it into the far wall, leaving a dent.

"...Good. Were you expecting that?"

"Not... Really..." Jack said, pushed back into the wall

"Good. It worked then."

"I'm tired. We can continue tomorrow. Are you hungry? I make a mean sandwich." Emmy laughed.

"I could... use with one" Jack stammered.

Emmy laughed, and led the way toward the kitchen.
