So much things are to be said about the general aesthetics and the appeal of adverts and TV shows nowadays. Adverts have gotten particularly out of hand; either the plot, the looks, or the music made, or applied for it. Post your personal flaws on TV shows also, be it irritating talk-shows, cartoons or stupid reality shows. Rant about general adverts and radio-adverts also. I hate those. So much.
So, anything wrong or bad or generally suckish about anything wrong in the media that just can't be left without having a mention, post your view or views here.
Enjoy yourselves.
Debating TV shows, and even adverts.

Discovery channel.
Mythbusters. I guess everybody here who watches TV should heard or watched that show before, pretty amazing, one of my favorites.
Oprah? :)

Ok, I see your point. To be honest:
1. I thought debate was for more serious matters.
2. I didn't even know there was a topic called 'Entertainment'.
But yeah. It can be moved if necessary. Although to a degree this could be considered discussion.

I know you're the Lovable Incoherent Tunco, but I definitely had a "fucking excuse me??" moment when you said "Discovery Channel."Tunco123 wrote:Discovery channel.

But then I realized that you were mentioning awesome shows, so I realized that you misunderstood the OP.
This probably doesn't even really deserve much of a mention, but I despise the last few generations of children's TV shows, like fuggin' Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, etc. I thought the shows I watched as a kid were pointless, but this new lineup actually rots your brain. My little sister (the younger one; ~10 years old) watches these shows constantly, and she's been adopting personality traits from the spoiled little brats in them ever since she started. Compared to my other sister (rather, how she was when she was the younger's age), she now has a hugely bloated sense of entitlement, condescends to just about everyone, especially toward her parents and teachers, and she still hasn't realized that one of the biggest reasons she can't hold on to friends is because she's bossy as all hell. And my guess is that depression is going to hit her pretty hard when she hits puberty and realizes that the boys don't fawn over her like they do for the protagonists she's decided to relate to in the shows she watches, because she's pretty fat; as a guy, I know there's a category of girls that guys in general are willing to tolerate far more shit from than is reasonable, and my little sister is not in that category.

In fact, even that is true, you don't have the right to judge my favorite shows, though, I don't watch TV more than a hour every -with some exceptions- because I don't like watching TV.
Too much crap on TV these days.

Children's cartoons are significantly worse because they no longer have to appease the parents. It used to be, you had to make Gargoyles have themes because parents had to sit through it; now you just park your child in front of the CW and leave. Bleccch.

I find many comedy shows, even quite good ones, have comedic failings whose fixes are readily apparent to me. What I am saying is that either comedy writers are hacks or I am a comedy editing genius. Or humour is subjective. Not that any of those things are exclusive. All of the above is most likely true.
