For those of you who are completely unaware,

Joss Whedon is a writer and director, known primarily for creating the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but also known for doing it's spinoff Angel as well as the sci-fi western Firefly. He also co-wrote Toy Story and Speed, and recently made a musical starring Neil Patrick Harris called Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Oh, yeah, and he's also an accomplished comic book writer, taking over Runaways after the creator stopped doing it.

He's kind of a big deal over in my house. What do you guys think?

And if you do like him, make sure you check out the upcoming show Dollhouse on FOX.

Love mostly. Firefly is my favourite sci-fi show of probably ever, Serenity does the series justice (mostly) and is a cool movie in it's own right, and Buffy is fun. Never did get into Angel, and Alien Resurrection (which Whedon wrote) was lacking his usual sparkle.

I've read Fray (the buffy of the future graphic novel), and that wasn't too bad. Not had the chance to catch anything else. Runaways first too books I enjoyed, I'll catch up with those when I can.

I'm looking forward to Dollhouse.

So, overall, mostly love.

I'm a pretty huge fan, yeah. I've thoroughly enjoyed most everything he's written and directed, with the exception of Angel, which I never ended up getting fully into.

Whatevs, I'm a feminist when I'm around feminists. You have to act like you buy into their silly little opinions if you don't want to shatter their fragile worldview.
Around a man, you can feel free to speak your mind, but women are too prone to emotional swings for me to treat them as though they were capable of independent thought.

Out of the things he's done, I've only ever seen Speed, but I also know the story of Buffy pretty well. Sounds like he's a good writer, and I'll have to go look up that comic book.
