I really enjoyed this, though apparently no-one else at the screening I attended did. I'll need to check out some of his other stuff some time.

Got the first two Transmet books for Christmas. So much more fulfilling actually holding these in your hands. Also Boardwalk Empire.

Currently enjoying the Monty Python box set I got for Christmas, and the LOTR: Extended Editions I got for Christmas a couple of years ago.

The first of the new Sherlock episodes was also pretty fantastic, shame there are only two more :(

Dare I say it was literally the best thing Moffat's written? Because it was.

Is this the best Pixar film? (The answer is yes)

Also, I just started watching
Image
I've heard a lot of good (and a few bad) things about this show (though thankfully I am spoiler free) and after five episodes it definitely has my attention. That said, there is some very lazy writing in places, especially in the one I just watched. Also, I am baffled by all the characters who talk to the Korean couple in English thinking that they'll magically understand what they're saying - I can't tell whether it's the characters or the writers being ignorant.

EDIT: this show loves twists so much, though only a handful have really caught me by surprise. I wouldn't be surprised if the end-of-season-twist turns out to be that M. Night Shyamalan is running the whole thing

EDIT2: NOT THE BEES! NOT THE BEEEEEEEES!

EDIT3: Every time Merry starts staring at his drugs and the eerie music kicks in I can't help but hitnk "NO, DON'T PUT ON THE RING!"
