I'm about to go on a Star Wars marathon, and would like to know what order to watch the six movies in. FanPop lists four different viewing orders.

Path #1: By Order of Episode Number (I, II, III, IV, V, VI)

Path #2: By Order of Release (IV, V, VI, I, II, III)

Path #3: Watch Prequels as Flashbacks ("You begin with the Original Trilogy and watch Episode IV, 'A New Hope' followed by Episode V, 'The Empire Strikes Back'. But instead of watching Return of the Jedi, you hold off and instead watch the three Prequels. Only after you have finished the prequels do you watch Return of the Jedi to cap off your marathon.")

Path #4: Alternating Trilogies (I, IV, II, V, III, VI)

I am a big fan of option one, although I originally saw them in Release Order.

I watch them in order of how much I liked them. For me that would be IV, III, V, VI, I, II. But that's just me.

I - II - III - IV - V - VI. Why would want to watch them in another order?

I should have never been made, the rest in order. II - VI.

Phantom Menace is vastly superior to Attack of the Clones. Perhaps you are confused?

Wahahahaha.

I'm being serious, bro. Let me make some points.

-Phantom Menace had minute amounts of irritating Jake Lloyd. AotC had massive amounts of more irritating Hayden Christensen.
-Phantom Menace had a cool plot about trade embargos and princesses. AotC was what the fuck clones? what the fuck sandpeople? what the fuck count dooku? what the fuck.
-Qui-Gon Jinn, as played by Liam Neeson, is one of the coolest jedi in the series.
- Darth Maul was fucking awesome. That last lightsaber battle? Fucking awesome.
-The podracing scene? All kinds of ballshittingly awesomeness.
-Now, granted, Jar-Jar Binks and that jewish guy who sold us parts to fix our ship and also was an insect for some reason? Annoying as ball shitting. But I would take Phantom Menace over AotC any day of the week, because at least it has action and a plot. Let me break down what happens in AotC for you.
-Talking.
-Romance, more talking.
-Running.
-Action? I dunno, it's too dark, being night on Tatooine.
-Rainy talking.
-Rainy action, can't see anything.
-Talking.
-For some reason, everybody is captured, escapes.
-Gigantic CGI battle between droids and clones. A) No emotional investment. B) Does not look very awesome. and C) Is basically a ripoff of the awesome Gungan/Droid battle in Phantom Menace, only that was better because Gungan technology was cool.
-Lightsaber battle.
-That Yoda shit where he was supernimble? I hate that shit.
-Talking.

END OF FILM. DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNNNANNANANAANNANANANAA

Just finished Phantom Menace last night. I didn't think it was too bad. The two hours went by pretty quick. I'll start Attack of the Clones later today.

Word. Phantom Menace was far better than Attack of the Clones.

I view in numerological order.

You are right. I was expressing my opinion. God-dammit, Kablizzy, I thought you were old enough to know how internet forums worked. Well, let me give you a crash course.

-I express an opinion, backed with plenty of reasons (like I did.)
-You express your opinion.
-THEN the ironic posts come.

Phantom Menace was effing cool, Darth Maul is pretty good, and Liam Neeson is just a general badass. It's such a shame they didn't bring him back, like, ever.

Hayden Christenson annoys the crap out of me, though, so II and III, to me, weren't that good. He's the same reason I didn't like Jumper as much as I did. I mean, I know the movie wasn't that great in general, he just made it worse.

I haven't had the opportunity to see the Original Trilogy enough to have a more refined opinion of them, so I won't say anything about them.

Just finished watching the saga from I to VI. I can't imagine myself with a better understanding of it by going originals then trilogy, so I'd prefer path 1.

Also, in the end of VI, is Luke the only Jedi left?

Technically, no, if you've read the various novels that come afterward. Which I have. Extensively.

I've read the bulk of the extended universe and can say safely that most of the other "Jedi" either belong to the new Jedi Order (who do not follow many of the traditions) or merely serve to unbalance the Force and are not true Jedis themselves.
