george is my second best too, especially in "the marine biologist." But I voted Kramer, because he is hilarious in every episode. The show is probably my favorite sitcom, and it is definitely the only 'older' comedy that I find funny all the time.

Jerry's amazing, but I'd hardly consider him a favorite character - he's more of a prerequisite. Elaine has a number of great moments and lines throughout the series, but she's more of an addition to Jerry's demeanor, lacks a really eye-catching personality, and is probably the least integral of the troupe (excluding Jerry). Kramer is Kramer. Costanza is Costanza, and also my favorite.

Costanza is larry david, and Curb does Costanza better than Seinfeld.

Costanza isn't Larry, that's dumb. Costanza's not nearly as abrasive, and tenfold more insecure, and his insecurities make him the funniest character.

I hate Jerry. I think he tries too hard to be funny and rarely succeeds. I think underneath it all he's very insecure, uptight, and arrogant (look up his interview with Larry King on YouTube), and generally a bad actor and poor comedian. I don't understand why he's famous.

Jason Alexander, on the other hand, is absolutely brilliant. I'd definitely consider him one of my favorite actors, and count George Costanza among my favorite sitcom characters.
Elaine's up there, too. She's not so amazing as Constanza, but definitely leaps and bounds above Jerry. I was drawn to that show as much as I was because of George and Elaine.
Kramer's Kramer. It seemed to me that his primary job was to keep things from settling into consistency and complacency, particularly for filler between parts of the script relevant to that show's plot, and he did that job well.

Kramer. It's like he's hooked up to a car battery every episode. :D

The Larry King interview does not show me arrogance /at all/. He was satirizing Larry King's retarded style of interviewing.

Also @Yahoozy: Saying Costanza isn't Larry David is just ridiculous. Like, it's both acknowledged by every creator of the show and evident in the show. I don't even understand how you missed that.

Elaine's pretty cool, though she's far from favorite. Same with Jerry, really. He's funny, especially when he riles up George to do those crazy stunts he always seems to do.

I think it's a tie between either Kramer or George. Kramer's just so.. Kramer. Wacky, eccentric... Just all around funny. And George's insecurities make for a really entertaining short little bald man. Not sure who I'd vote for.

Kramer's my man. I just love his wackiness.

On a side note, my uncle is friends with Larry David. When I heard that, he immediately got ten times cooler.
