I am a long time player of v1.4 and I just discovered theres a v2 out! I've played it a bit and the physics feels slightly different. Can someone shed some light briefly on how the physics of the game has changed? I already saw that new feature page but it doesn't say anything about physics except that its "smoother". Thank you in advance.

Yep Nv2 is smoother and the jumps are slightly slower (more floaty) which makes it easier for intermediate players to be able to win cool maps. Also the ninja can stand on the edges of sliding gates and other pointy objects.
It has different bugs to Nv1.4 (to my view cooler bugs and less of them btw).
Concerning mapping it gives you an extra ability to trap thwumps to make them stationary and generally put objects where due to bugs etc N1.4 doesn't let you put them.
Concerning lag, in Nv2 only objects you affect while playing reload when you restart level, not all of them so that is a pretty significant improvement in reducing lag and load time. On old computers Nv1.4 probably lags less than on Nv2 but on newer ones Nv2 works fine and if you get Windows 8 N1.4 doesn't work well on it at all.
But Nv2 is not compatible with NUMA maps archive (which is much better for userlevel playing) and the ninja feels a little less realistic (due to floatiness probably). You can read people's opinions on the N 2 is finally out thread but I think that thread is full of crap :)

The 'n Tower' was not built in a day. There were some remakes

Thanks. What do you mean ninjas can stand on the edge of sliding gates?james_S wrote:Yep Nv2 is smoother and the jumps are slightly slower (more floaty) which makes it easier for intermediate players to be able to win cool maps. Yeah I feel as though the game has gone slightly soft. I am enjoying playing it, but it just feels overall easier. I never experienced any bugs with Nv1.4!

But when you play some very tricky and exciting user levels, I think you'll be glad about it going 'slightly soft'. The bugs show themselves on the user levels mostly -you don't play maps on http://www.nmaps.net ?
Balance on top of the gates (very precise)
ps. N reality (you know the add on so to speak to N1.4) has many good levels that always remain there (unlike user levels which get pushed down) -so the competition aspect is good there.
Your n game name is the one you have here on forums :) ??
