I feel like nobody is talking about the same thing anymore, and so as an administrator and almost-INFP I am (begrudgingly) calling upon all parties to end the clamour and get back on topic.

The lag makes this game unplayable. I like some of the new features of the editor along with the built-in save feature (perhaps an autosave is lurking nearby), but it is a /huuuuge/ learning curve. I'm thinking about making a mapping tutorial for this to help newcomers. I'm sad you changed the map data format, and also sad to see many practical glitches disappear. Still don't see any mappack options. :(

I personally did that fix as well by myself (you can see it by the picture on the first page), and, even though I supose it does fix the continuous lag (which I don't have, but I guess others have) it doesn't fix the punctual lag attacks that happen (which suck because they skip frames). Usually after playing a level for a dozen times or so, it appears and stays.

Not in XP if that's what you're using, because that fix was "designed" for Vista/7. I did only disable the last one, the style, yet it does not fix it as I said, try it out though, it might work for you.

-a bunch of people are having issues logging in with their usual accounts. i had no trouble with this (maybe because i used a throwaway account for the beta...?) so i can't help you there

-the two userlevel columns are unlockables (whole game), as is arcade mode (per-column basis)

I had to create a new account for N2, and your password has to be at least 8 characters for the activation email to actually be sent.

You must beat every column to unlock the two userlevels columns. You must also have beaten a map to view the highscores on it, which is a shame.

The oscillating framerate is super frustrating, and seems to have an inverse correlation with things one might expect to slow down the game.

So in all seriousness, it seems the lag issues for N 2.0 aren't explicitly determined by the operating system. I think the only way to know for certain is to use a problematic PC and downgrading/upgrading the OS to see if there is a change, but my instincts tell me it is how the CPU handles flash frame rate or something that causes these inconsistencies... Clearly, processing power is not the problem in the overwhelming majority of cases. As a game designer myself, I understand that compatibility/porting is often a problematic, polarizing and time-consuming operation and although I would love to see a refined solution as opposed to a buckshot fix, I understand that this just might not be practical. P.S. thanks for fixing the highscoring tie issue, and I agree with LouDog004 about being unfortunate that you cannot view highscores of levels you have not yet completed.

Alright found a new bug, hopefully hasn't been said yet. When watching a demo, if the final frames don't have any keypresses (lets say because the end is a big fall) then the replay will just stop there (before the demo is finished) and go back to the levels menu. For instance, refer to my 27-2 run, the replay is cut before I fall because from there on I didn't press any key.

Sorry, that was actually my idea... The initial contact I made with Mare regarding the possibility of an unlockable user-made column, I mean.

However, if I didn't suggest putting it in as an "unlockable" they weren't going to include them at all, since they had "regrets" or something about how the 80's column was created (I'd quote the relevant email transcript, but it seems I've lost so I think it's a fair compromise and great reward/motivation for completing the game.

Okay so Nv2.0 is a quite amazing thing!
I just finished all the 600 levels and it was a really nice experience. I had no lag and I was able to log directly without any problems :)
Here's a list of my first impressions//bug repport.

I'm a big fan of the new editor though I find it not so cool my custom levels are not my own computer, I know i can simply copy the text datas but it'll be just awesome if the game automatically stocked those in a text file. You'll also be able to play other people's levels from data easier this way (without entering the editor itself), an option that could be nice for mappacks.

About the userlevels sharing system it's pretty kool, but i would prefer map with less than 5 ratings being unrated for the search option. Otherwise it shows you map with only 1 rating which was obviously 5, when you search for map with max rating.
Also it's a little sad you're not able to comment the maps, it would add a lot i'm sure.

I saw if I pause the game while testing a level in the editor I could play FBF with mouseclick, which is nice. But where's my demo data (in fact where's every demo's data)? If i'm right this only allow you to make FBF demo on your own levels which is quite limited...

I had a strange Error report at the exact moment I finished the game but it didn't caused me any real problem:

This error message pop up each times I click on "play the game" from the main menu...
I just finished first column in arcadre and it showed me a similar Error report:

and the little case [a-0] do not show as completed (light gray borders).

Also I definitely agreed for everything that has been said about highscoring, do not want to complete every levels a second time, top 10 is less fun than top 20, etc.

I hope this could help and again, thanks for this release of Nv2.0 and for the work you put in it, it totally worths it ;)

Voila!! I finally completed 2.0!! It was great fun.
I feel both good and bad that the old glitches are no more. I faced no lagging problems.
Though , there are still some issues. They might already be discussed earlier in this discussion, but still I am noting them here:
1. The laser drones keep on firing laser after the ninja is dead. This didn't happen in v1.4.
2. I am unable to do the cornering maneuver now. I don't know if it purposefully removed or what. It is very useful in speedruns and AGDs.

3. The weird glitch at the top of screen while wallsliding is still persistent.

i was said they did it on purpose, in fact all the glitch based on bouncing into the tiles were removed in v2.0, wich is quite "logic" because it was a glitch but yep it was a kool thing though.

Don't worry, because there just isn't any. (Already on the suggestion list, honestly I see no point in arcade mode wthout its leaderboards).
