OK, I feel like a complete noob. I was trying to make some test maps, and I can't even get them to play! I placed a ninja, I placed an exit door, but when I press "Tab" to test the level, the ninja disappears and I can't do anything. When I save them, there is no "play" button.

I'm sure I'm omitting something obvious, but I can't seem to figure out what it is? I tried reading some tutorials online but nothing seems to help.

Please help!

This is bug in newest version of v2.0 (look at list of bugs). To test your maps you must use older version of v2.0. But I think it's not on the site anymore so I decided to upload it here. But I recommend to use it just for mapping and testing, it has more bugs than newer version. For normal playing is better to use newer version (the one you already have).

Thanks for the info! It's good to know that I'm not profoundly retarded :)

However I hate to be irritating, but is there any chance you or someone has the Mac OSX version? That is what I run natively. I actually tried the newest 2.0 on Wine last night just to see if it ran any better but I couldn't get it working at all. Just now tried the version you posted and it doesn't work either (for me on Mac). Sorry :(

That's a problem. I don't have mac version, maybe some other people do.

On the editor tab, there should be a URL for each map that you have there. I work around the playtesting bug by copying and pasting the URL into a web browser and testing the map there.

Oh, thats right, and it is really obvious, I don't know why I haven't realized it yet. Maybe because I still use older version for mapping.

Sweet, thanks for the tip! Now that I'm playing it in Chrome I'll give this trick a try and report back later, perhaps with my first map? :)

Whatsaaaap moderator, can you pls add ''get old version of N2 here to be able to test your maps'' to the title of this thread, because we recently tried to get N2 mappers to start testing their maps (more easily)

The attachment’s file size is too large, the maximum upload size is 2 MB.
Please note this is set in php.ini and cannot be overridden.
