hey everyone,
We just wanted to announce: N++ is finally available on Steam!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/230270
We realize that most of the community is PC-based, so hopefully this means more of you will be able to play it. :)
We tried our best to make it something that longtime fans of N/N+ would enjoy -- something that went a lot deeper and further than previous iterations.
We think you'll really be able to appreciate all of the effort we put in; this one definitely gets much harder than anything you've seen before (well.. aside from the 80s column in 1.4!)
All of the end-game challenges are geared towards fans; even for us, who have been playing for 10+ years, some of this stuff is crazy hard. But in a good way ;)
Anyway, we really can't wait to see what you think.
We'll be doing an AMA at 10am PDT/1pm EDT if you want to pick our brains about anything: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/
Enjoy,
Mare and Raigan
N++ is out on Steam!!

Good job! A quick question: are the highscore leaderboards shared across the different platforms?

The game is amazing so far, great level design and all-golding everything makes it pleasantly challenging even for an experienced player. Can't wait to try my hand at the secret challenges! :D
Sadly, no. Considering that the boards have been getting a lot of scores really fast, which is neat.amomentlikethis wrote:are the highscore leaderboards shared across the different platforms?

Yeah, we wanted to make sure that veterans would feel challenged -- I'm glad it's working. The secrets will DEFINITELY be a challenge. Although, if you've done "go fish" then I don't know.. a few of them at least ;)

Any chance for a non-Steam release such as on GoG?

We are, but with 1 programmer progress is slow. Our main issue is that people seem to expect that level sharing/browsing will work DRM-free.. unfortunately non of the server-related stuff can work without some sort of account (Steam/PSN), and we're not sure if people are going to be okay with that. :/

Fwiw, this would be fine with me! I just want to play the game as-is. The only "online" aspect I'd care about would be viewing recorded games, but I could do without that if I have to, as well.raigan wrote:We are, but with 1 programmer progress is slow. Actually, can't believe I've not mentioned this yet, but have you looked into gog.com? They have a client called Galaxy that offers cross-platform play support with Steam.
