Well, I thought we had more Admin, but I was mistaken.
And lemme say that the Admin color yellow clashes horribly with Retronet.

I was talking about their mod positions in Webcomics and Music, it's kind of pointless to have them written there now that they have these positions.SlappyMcGee wrote:Tsukatu wrote:N-EdoI wrote:Are Slappy and Lenny staying on their mod positions?
No.
Slappy is an admin now. This has been said many times in many places, including here. Like, three posts up.

Yeah, we should promote Turiski to webcomic mod and Tanner to music.

TOOK ME A WHILE TO GET ALL THE INFO, BUT I THINK I GOT IT NOW.
CONGRATULATIONS ORTSZ, MAESTRO, YANNI, ROHAN, SLAPPY AND...UUUUH...AWESOME.
Oh, and look at Blizz's avatar!
Also, talking about mods, Pixon hasn't been here for some long time now, sadly :/
Does anyone know anything about why he left?

I believe that's a Firefox issue of some sort. The admins in Retronet on any other browser show up as red.Kablizzy Sucks wrote:And lemme say that the Admin color yellow clashes horribly with Retronet.

I believe that's an issue with Retronet existing, and in doing so deceiving people into thinking that there's any correct skin option besides Hermes.Spawn of Yanni wrote:I believe that's a Firefox issue of some sort. It's time for a mass-promotion of old admins to the Cool Guys group, is it not?
On another note, Slappy, I don't think there's anything wrong with a member asking for a lock on a thread ... provided he gives a good reason, or the reason is self-evident. (That is, it's not okay in this thread.)

I was thinking about that same thing some minutes ago. I support this movement.flagmyidol wrote:It's time for a mass-promotion of old admins to the Cool Guys group, is it not?
But what's the point in asking to lock? Many times a lock isn't even needed! And if we do have competent mods, why should we say the obvious when it is indeed needed?

My thinking is that we are either aware of the fact that the thread is spam or it is not. Old threads shouldn't get locked, they should just fall off the page. For instance, I had something relevant to contribute to the Fallout 3 thread the other day, and it was months old. I would have to make a new thread to make this simple contribution. Similarly, there are still things a lot of people could say about Staff Update, and even then, the thread had not degenerated at all. I find the request of a lock to be somewhat possessive. If it was your thread and it has served its purpose, then sure. Otherwise, leave it in our hands.
Edit: without consulting anybody, I replaced myself as moderator of Entertainment, Music and Webcomics with Tanner, Tanner and Turiski respectively. Congratulations, lot!

He went off to Hollywood, and he dropped by the IRC a few times after that, but he just sort of fell away into the fogs of time. If you want my educated guess, he probably just found something else to do with his time.Donfuy wrote:Also, talking about mods, Pixon hasn't been here for some long time now, sadly :/

Is Luminafare's global modness a new thing, or I'm just late noticing?

Congrats, everyone, on your level ups.
Me being nitpicky: the Globular Mods and, uh, those other mods need their groups cleaned up as well.

Interesting, neither southpaw nor sidke has the Moderator bar. Does it have to be removed for custom titles?

Doesn't have to, but not including it requires less effort. Not that it takes all that much effort, anyway.

I personally would prefer not having it. It just adds more clutter to the profile.

QFE, especially because the standard titles are so enjoyable. ^_^Donfuy wrote:I personally would prefer not having it. It just adds more clutter to the profile.
