I switched back to m9orange. My eyes were hurt whenever I logged into the Forums (abrupt change from the default to the bright bright bright retronet). This might change whenever we change back to therealn.

Unfortunately this is a problem that is out of our hands and we cannot rectify this (Unless we get remembering logins working). Shame really.

Can't always find the "Board Index" button either, and are NUMA profiles gonna be fixed? They seem to be averse to taking a second line. (I think this has been mentioned before, but just in case.)

If they didn't take a second line they'd go into the post. So that is the way it'll live.

And the Board Index button? It's in a huge grey bar at the top of the skin :/

http://pastebin.com/m3ba6c692 fixes every single problem mentioned in this thread with the possible exception of UGH UGH RETRONET IS TOO BRIGHT (this includes relocation of post dates, automatic word-wrapping and image resizing in the profile section of each post, and fixing of some image-based spoiler spacing like in Tsukatu's signature.)
Let me repeat: it is entirely out of my hands whether the above changes are made or not. Since phpBB3 stores PHP data in the stylesheet, the system must parse the stylesheet before serving it to the user for each page. This results in not a link to stylesheet.css but to style.php, whose contents are largely decided by the database, not the files. As a result of this, for the changes to be made, an administrator must apply the style via ACP.

Just to be clear, will this fix the fact that some of the stuff doesn't work on certain browsers?

EDIT: New problem. In IE, I can't quote the newest post because Options/Upload attachment drop down menu is in the way. Little formatting problem.

(Sorry for being such a nitpicky asshole.)

This looks really great, changed from Chrome. Fantastic job whoever made it .. incluye?
Can't find time stamps on posts though, so I have no idea whether i'm resurrecting a dead topic or not?

There aren't any timestamps, but you can view source, I guess, if you're that desperate to know. Interestingly, using a text-based browser like w3m also does wonders.

Well, i can confirm that the skin works brilliantly on ipods and the like, with few formatting errors or the like. And, agreeing with everyone else, it's miles better than m9 in terms of co-ordination.

A text based Board Index link would be nice, at the top.

No, you can't see.

Wait, this is a bug in IE. Essentially those links are invisible and also the mod colour change code doesn't work.

I'd prefer this worded as "IE is a bug." It's a horribly fussy browser which is trying to conform the internet to its own standards (see alpha channel stuff as a reference), and on the whole these standards are inferior and more complicated than the ones used by everyone else. Solution: Use a different browser. Firefox, Chrome, Safari... all are good.

Anywho, as the recent podcast would suggest, I've been trying out Retronet to see what I think. And, you know, it's actually quite nice. I can't believe that more people aren't using it. I've found it just as good as Chrome, and while I don't entirely like it using the entire width of my screen (a problem probably caused by me having a small resolution), it's actually easy to adjust to using it. Only problem is the colour for admins - light yellow doesn't look too crash hot on light grey.

I've just started using retronet and have noticed the color of my name is very eek among the pale background. Is that something you can edit? Or would I just have to change groups or what?

Edit: not against the blue at the top of this post, but the white/gray when it shows the last user to post in a forum on the index.

I've made the switch and, overall, I like it. I have a few nit-picky complaints:
  • Quotes could be darker.
  • Spoilers are too similar to normal text.
  • The "Topic Review" should have something like a "See More Posts" link.
  • The green "Posted Successfully" page seems out of place. I kind of like it though.
I know someone made that first point earlier, but I feel like it should be brought up again.

Crazy thing is, nobody seems to be able to tell me where all the "Information:" pages are generated in the theme. Doing a grep doesn't generally help because phpBB, to accommodate different languages, uses weird echo statements like {L_INFO_HEADER} or some shit to print out the word "Information." Also, the omnipotent designers decided to make the post form code and Information panel code virtually identical, so I can't select just one or the other with any amount of clever CSS. It's problematic.

When do FF6 Minibosses get their color changed back to something that isn't blinding?

I wish I could do that for you, but Blizz has that group's permissions only changeable for founders, I think.
