What the hell.

Aphex's name is clearly a different color from both moderators and regular users. And global mods, but that's a bit obvious.

I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION!

If you click on his profile you'll find that he's an MoA author. Go on your profile.

But I'm not risking it :P

OK, someone changed those MoA Authors' colours to ridiculous red that's hard on the eye.

Why is it that they appear orange when you're not logged on but red when you are logged on?

[edit]

This is ludicrous. Why have they changed to purple just TWO minutes after my post!?

[re-edit]

And why have they then changed to black 5 seconds after my edit!?

[re-re-edit]

And why have they changed to this colour (I think) straight after my re-edit!?

We now have a definite(ish) color. The others were just fooling around.

personally, i like this distinction. it makes things more colourful and identifies who's who. although perhaps i am a bit biased at having my own name made special. it's just plain red for me.

These colors just annoys me and pisses me off. At least they could have selected something different.

The current shade of red for these people do no justice with a black background, creating a sharp contrast that's not easy on the eyes. Now that I look t BanjoDave's post, I think the color could be more effective if it didn't have that black background on it That's just my opinion, though, if there's another color can work better than the current one, it'd work perfectly.

Though, it's hard to understand if it's a mod. And yeah, change the color. (!)

No, no, I know all of you guys. :P

You're welcome. Unfortunately, mods that are in the usergroup temporarily have their colours gone o_0

I can't fix that, so mods, either screw around in your UCP a bit or talk to LV.

i think its stupid that people need their names in color for mappacks.

the colors just distinct some mappers from others, which is a naive way to say "im better than you". why does being part of a map pack put you in a different category than other mappers? even the Legacy Mappack. thats ridiculous.

i can understand mods and admins having special colors, because they're important and they do important things for the benefit of the community, but then people are throwing in the Y&BB colors and other pointless stuff that just deems the whole system worthless.

no one takes anything seriously around here.

and so it goes, and so it goes, and so will you soon i suppose.

You are wrong. I take my name colour very seriously. If anyone changes my name colour, I assume it is because they think I am superior to everyone else. That is unacceptable. Clearly they are disregarding the inherent value in the colour of my name, and are having a joke, instead of being seriously dedicated to preserving the solemnity of my name-colour. I adjure the administrators. Do not change our name-colours. The universe holds its breath for your decision, and the utmost values of all the forumgoers will be at peace only when our names are of normal colour.

Legacy doesn't help out? Legacy has been the life-blood of the community for years! That's just low. Legacy Elites deserve just as much respect as an admin.

Remember the N game? Remember Robotology? Remember Sex on the Xerox? Hell, remember blue_tetris? All Legacy projects. Hell, this topic is basically a Legacy Project as it is.

eganic needs a slap with a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick.

Just as long as the colours aren't too harsh it'll all be ok.
