So I just found out that forum.easterviking.com isn't blocked at my school (yet). I want to know if it's only a temporary fix, or if it's always going to be around when I want to get on the forums at school.
(I would get on IRC, but it's blocked completely. This can be locked once I get an answer.)

Just while we're on the subject, no matter how many times I click the Auto Log-In button, this site forgets me the second I close my browser. :@

I thought I was being dumb somewhere in my browser settings, or that Firefox started handling cookies differently or something.
(On another note, Firefox calls "Firefox" a misspelling.)

Umm, internet is a misspelling.Spawn of Yanni wrote:(Opera calls "internet" a misspelling.)
And... is therealn.com getting fixed at all? By the way, typecocks.easterviking.com is broken because when you press Enter it sends your cock to typecocks.therealn.com instead of the currently used address.

Just as an update for everybody:
Staff never paid it's creditors. (I'm looking at you, Tsukatu.) So, our domain is technically being held by an evil German conglomerate for the next thirty days. I have, however, sent an email ahead promising to pick up the bill for whatever was left over if we can have the domain returned to us as soon as possible. This means I'm going to have to throw down a little extra cash, so, as always, if you want to donate:

That sucks. This should be a NUMA news, or an e-mail should be sent to everyone so they know what's going on and where to come.SlappyMcGee wrote:Just as an update for everybody:

Another quick update: It will cost 40 USD to get the forums back now, or 6 if we wait another 25 days. At which point, I will pay the six, without qualms at all.

The credit card I used initially has been cancelled for nearly a year now - I assume they tried to charge it again, and it didn't work, due to the bankruptcy.SlappyMcGee wrote:Just as an update for everybody:

Well, the decision is up to all of you, at this point. Forty dollars is a lot of money to shave off twenty five days, and the website will certainly be back to normal in twenty five days, on my dime. I would recommend deciding what you want to do at this point. But then again, any money donated at me will either go into TheRealN or the Ventrilo server, which always needs more money, so know that no amount of money will go wasted here.SlappyMcGee wrote:Just as an update for everybody:

I'd say definately go for the $6. There isn't any harm in waiting...this is a perfectly viable alternative, and we can all live without spoilers for a month. I'd donate money, but I'm a bit short at the moment, what with formal and going to the coast.

I'd give a tenner, but all my money is right in front of me ;_;
In other words, it can't use it on the internet in its current form. I need some kind of magic... money transformer. Or something.

So I guess at the end of the month we'll lose forum.easterviking.com? Are you guys paying for both right now?

We're not actually paying for Easterviking at all. EasterViking was billed in June, but has gone unpaid up to now. Since the account was previously in Blizz' name and is becoming in mine, I won't be able to pay for Easterviking, and it will probably be taken down any day.flagmyidol wrote:So I guess at the end of the month we'll lose forum.easterviking.com? That being said, we already have another domain (to be announced in the future) which could serve as a temporary host for the forums if Easterviking goes down before we get TheRealN back.

What about mountai.net? Or is that just for IRC?

Got it, and big thanks for doing all this, footing the extra costs and stuff.SlappyMcGee wrote:We're not actually paying for Easterviking at all.
