If gloomp and Tunc became admins the forums would surely be subjected to a cryptic sonic assault the likes of which have never heard before (or after, since we will have all been deafened).

I would have agreed were it not for Donfuy's magnificent Donfuy post in this thread. You can't compete with that.

This silly poll aside, do you think there would be any value in refreshing the admin team? Everyone apart from me is largely inactive, though much the same could be said about the forums in general. There's certainly an active member or two whose elevation to that position I'd be happy to support if doing so would actually improve or revitalise the forums in some way.

I am very active, for all it's worth. I'm also on at times when spammers post and no one else is here, so it makes it very easy for me to get rid of stuff like that before anyone sees it (see: my several months as an unofficial Global Mod).

Pretty much this although it's more of a social problem than a technical problem.

Poll discrete uniformly distributed now.

Same could go for the individual forum mods. Out of the 16 blue forum moderators, ignoring the two that ^.>.v<^ (that is how you spell it right?) murdered, the median number of posts that each of them has made this year is 2. We could supposedly do with cleaning up about half of them.

Not even Kablizzy? And I know LittleViking never posted very much, but he did lurk a lot in the first board. And whatever happened to blue_tetris, or whatever alias he'd since taken?

None of them are particularly active. It's a pretty strong sign of the terrible times this forum is going through.
