N v2.0 Column/100% Speedruns/RTAs

Wanted to get an RTA thread going for v2.0. I know that nobody is really actively doing it, but I'm hoping I can change that. Post any runs and I'll add them to the leaderboard.
Time starts when you press JUMP to begin level, and time ends when you touch the open door in the final level.
A popular RTA timer is WSplit. Get it here -

By RTA do you mean Column highscore runs? If so cool, might have a crack at some point at one of the fun columns, but it's a long investment :/

RTA just means you're timing how long it takes to get through the column - in game score does not matter.
And I hope you do give it a try. I'd really like to see more people doing this.

Does that mean speedrunning? As in the gold is irrelevant?
Edit: I see from those videos that yes, speedrunning.
Thats a lot more appealing, takes a lot less time.

Yeah, sho. It is about speedrunning.
By the way, I really like the this feature! But I have to get familiar with WSplit first...

It's a little difficult to figure out, and it's even more difficult to get into the habit of clocking your time every episode, but it's a great software.

Yeah I can understand then confusion, as in Metanet we don't call speedrun to real time attacks, but rather highscoring disregarding gold.

Just clocked a 100% run in 3:33:28. That was legitimately mentally exhausting. I kept up a decent pace until the b0s (where I kind of fell apart, especially in b6-4). A LOT of time can be very easily saved. Next time I need to remember to have water with me and not do it at night when I'm tired.
Here's the run:

From what I've seen this is the only recorded attempt of this. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Harder than expected

I planned on going through 3 or 4 columns this weekend, just to get the ball rolling, but this was a LOT harder than I thought it would be. I only ended up trying Column 00 until I got a decent score.
My run:
https://youtu.be/KzcCgafWpsw
My time was 13:53. Not great, but not awful. I didn't bother editing the footage to make a nice video, because I know I'm gonna be doing a lot more of this.
I would be really happy with a sub 12 min run, but that seems rather unlikely to happen, so I think I'll try to be satisfied if I can get a sub 13 run and move on to some of the other columns. Definitely gonna do this more next weekend, and MUCH more over the summer once I'm out of uni.

Nice run man!
That death on 5-3 made me cringe! So much time lost!
And the deaths on 6-2 and 9-1 :(
But overall pretty skillful and consistent. Nice job.

Awesome! Really glad there are going to be some more people getting into this.

I would be so into this If I were familiar with recording. So if you have any suggestions, what FREE program to use and other stuff, you can tell me. I have Windows7 just so you know...

It would be awesome if you got into this oxy. You'd be so good!
I like to use
Open Broadcaster Software. I have had it for a while, so I don't really remember how hard it is to familiarize yourself with it, but I seem to remember that it was pretty intuitive. Also, along with recording, there's built in support for doing live streams, if you wanted to get into that. Hope this helps!

I just made a request on speedruns.com that Nv2 is added to their database. I'll let everyone know what's going on there once they get back to me.

Hey, thanks for creating that man, pretty badass. I'd still prefer if these boards were also mantained though, so more people can see them and hopefully bring activity to the forums, but since I mod this thread I guess for some time I can update it myself.

I can update both. As long as runs don't come pouring in, it won't be too much work.

Also - sorry I haven't posted any runs lately. I'm on vacation. Once I'm back though, I'm coming for your 00 time, Eddy!
Anyone else planning on doing some more speedrun attempts?
