my newest! I only make better and better maps (im joking lol) -I ran out of space on my favourites and that thing which organic io suggested, well google chome it requires is pissing me off. So I don't have enough new favourites.
I still find it strange that Phurix made only one landscape (mountains) map, cause I think this 'popular' map is awesome http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=4263 -he called it ''stop making shitty maps please''
I like 'drone cave' mainly for its idea with the rocket http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=15231
Good to see 'quicksilver' is creeping its way back up in the ratings http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6749
Unitty by marklar22 http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=10539 -cool if u use the correct technique, probs good training too
M4xwell's fixed sail ship 'the seven seas' http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=15016 I think getting the gold is awesome, like touching a flame (+theres the gold in the gates) -but i think its not great how when you use the jump pad to get it, it leaves a dead straight trail -i think thats something to be avoided on maps.
I think this ship is pretty cool too -maybe you cant call it a serious map, but I think its pretty clever. 'Ship' www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6567
Fujitas Mawari janpu http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=13030 - sweet map
I also love Panstromek's cancer coming into cells idea, but again with the gold... I think some of the little rooms are too simple -maybe you could've joined them up with wide one way panels. Plus when you get further u cant even use the curves to get high speed cause of the mines so ehmmm. -But the emphasis is on me loving the idea! heh
PS. About your own favourite maps, i think its quite cool how ZoasBE mentioned on his numa page his few favorites out of the hundreds he made..
Maxwell looking at your 'Tensioned' map, maybe you could draw a real test dummy (cause they have that pattern on the paintwork)

My favorite map is this: http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=11298. The aesthetics are simple, but I love the gameplay.M4xwell wrote:To not make this thread die somewhat, What is your favourite map YOU made?

As for my favourite map I made, it has to be definitely Artoveux. http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=10516 It's the one that started the 'groove' I had in level making the overall I think it's a pretty cool-looking level: Medium difficulty, simple yet elegant map (if you look closely, it resembles a face somewhat), and the gold seem trap-worthy (but most aren't lol.) Runner-up is this: http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=11036
Oh Boy, now you're giving me ideas...Maxwell looking at your 'Tensioned' map, maybe you could draw a real test dummy (cause they have that pattern on the paintwork)

From my maps I like the most this one
Cancer by panstromek: www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=8196
http://www.nmaps.net/230736
I had this idea in mind for a long time, so when I finished it, I was really happy. I spent a lot of time on it. But it didn't get much attention (beated only by me).

lololol. it is iconic! to me its like a mix of little pretty umbrellas and snowflakes and as you say sort of a face, making it a legitimate shape/pattern. so yea maybe not iconic in the proper sense of the word

Maxwell's Scientific hellholes VIII www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=15788 -plus I think thats such an unusual shape/style for N game, i know you had it on an older map

Of course I did. I usually make my levels on N V1.4 and then copy my code and edit it for 2.0james_S wrote:Maxwell's Scientific hellholes VIII http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=15788 -plus I think thats such an unusual shape/style for N game, i know you had it on an older map

I do it exactly oposite way and I recommend it to you, too, because v2.0 editor is a lot better I think :).M4xwell wrote:Of course I did. I usually make my levels on N V1.4 and then copy my code and edit it for 2.0
And I can post 1 map by myself per post so there is one my map:
Guards protect their secret by panstromek www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6000 (oh, cool ID!)
And James_S, I have just seen that you made good run on my Messy place 2, cool (maybe it is old, I don't know).

If you subtract 1000 from the ID, you get the map number. So 6000 - 1000 = 5000. You published the 5000th map.panstromek wrote:Guards protect their secret by panstromek http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=6000 (oh, cool ID!).
Also, I liked this map: http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=15905. (Refraction, by M4xwell). The visuals are neat, and it's fun to play. The only thing I disliked was the double gauss turret at the bottom left. Usually, one enemy is better than two enemies.

hey I was thinking about that map also :) Well I thought the only problem with the double turrets was that its not consistent with the other enemies being on their own, otherwise I thought it was pretty cool how u had to kind of go in between them. I'm not sure if I worked out the correct route but there seems to be a lot of having to go back on yourself to gain momentum -and getting the gold at the bottom where one of the turrets is seems kinda boring as all you're doing is running left then turning around Slowly -i.e no wall jump possible etc and running back out. But yea I loved the map

fujita's orenjifomu http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/nv2.html?l=16020 is a bit like getting the gold on your sailship Maxwell, I like (its sorta like a mix between ur seven seas and by Strike is awesome map i think) but its not as kind of 'passionate' as ur ship.. Panstromek I dunno if there's any point in saying this but after I said the gameplay on your cancer level isnt great, I can say now I think gameplay on caves with airconditioning is awesome -esp the proper way Cerberus ran it

It's a bit said it's only us 3 (or 4-5 for occasions). I say we make maps to promote this forums and this thread. I enjoy it.Maxwell, look at my status thing- it says maxwell smart.. ehm lol. I made it using (this is looking left-hand side of map): 4 (S), 3 (W), and 2(A). The jump is rather hard, but you'll get it eventually.(Maxwell so how do u do that hard little map then?)
