Basically, a drone that fires a flame at you. Its short-ranged, and moves the flame along a curve, like a chaingun. It fires when you get close, and can burn you, resulting in instant death. You wouldn't explode. There's no chance of jumping through the fireline and surviving, like the chaingun, and would make a sort of <fwick> sound, like opening a metal valve or cap. Or pulling a pin form a grenade. This would go for one second, as a pre-fire rate. Cooldown time would be around 2 secs. It would be faster then a chaingun, but a little slower then a zap drone, and the flame would last around the same as the firing time of a chaingun.
EDIT: aah! I didn't see that sniper_assassin!! :O

like, when you are in the flame your time is reduced to three seconds, when you get out in time (if you do) it would go back to whatever it was before you entered the flame.

It could do that, like its burning you and steals your gold at an extreme rate... that way, it would be like it has burned you. So losing gold is like losing health. By quickly, I mean like 50 seconds every 1 second. That could make some good userlevel puzzles.sniper_assassin wrote:flame throwing drone;

If not unerstand: On one place on map would be key, or id card or whatever.
Another place on map would be place for that item.
And another for door.
Second idea, is Spike Drone, if you would get to close to him, he would draw out the spikes, lethal on contact.

The first idea can be solved by simply putting two doors one tile apart from each other and putting the two switches in separate places. The second idea already essentially exists. It's called a zap drone. ;)DraX696 wrote:I would do doors, that need key placed in right place ;p

Hmm, the second one reminded me instantly of an alarm drone for nreality.MAXXXON wrote:The first idea can be solved by simply putting two doors one tile apart from each other and putting the two switches in separate places. Everyone wants to see this. It'd be a drone that adheres to the same laws of physics the ninja does. Has to jump and shit to get up.Izzy wrote:Kablizzy Drone.

Alarm drones can have any range. And they can activate upon sighting the ninja. Sorry to rain on you :PDraX696 wrote:I mean Spikes that have some range :D not on contacting drone, but spikes, that can be even 2 tiles long :D
Or.... do you mean something else?

the flamethrower drone already exists as nreality greedy drone.BluePretzel wrote:A Flamethrower Drone would be pretty sweet.

Mini drone: looks like a manually edited drone ("drone eye"), but chases you whenever it sees you just like a zap drone. But when it hits you, it knocks you out for 5 seconds.
Seeker mine: Stationary until it sights you on one of the four cardinal directions. Then it chases you at the speed of a normal zap drone.

we actually had the idea for an "evil ninja" that works just like that when we were making N+.. sigh :(GamingWolf wrote:I think a few of you mentioned doppelgangers... but after playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 I've decided you should have something similar to Cosmic Clones. If they touch you... YOU DIE. One or more ninja clones in a set period of time will follow your exact movement until you die, you get to the exit, you open the exit door, or maybe some other switch. This can't be too hard to make... but it would be probably be a CPU hog.
