But if you're not making bad music, you're not necessarily making good music.
So, semantically speaking, you're correct.

I will admit, there's definite room for improvement in their later albums. But saying that any music is definitely "good" or "bad" is farcical. Taste in music depends entirely upon the individual. I happen to enjoy listening to Raditude and Hurley, so I would classify it as "good" music.Universezero wrote: You'd prefer if they made good music though, correct?
And, my statement still stands. It doesn't matter why you're not enjoying their recent songs; if you're not enjoying them, don't buy the album, and kindly let me listen to them in peace.

Criticism of art is as old as art itself. It's also integral to the process because without honest and constructive criticism, there can be no growth. I was in no way passing an opinion on either of those men, if that's what you were thinking. I was just following your posts around and fucking with you, mostly.hairscapades wrote:I have no idea what you're trying to say. EDIT: Relevantly: criticism of art is fine, to a point, but unwanted, baseless and unnecessary criticism (such as that in the OP) is just petty and idiotic.

Also: Pinkerton special edition is worthy of your support, people.

It has " You Gave Your Love To Me Softly" on it, which is worth the money alone.siptrace wrote:Going to assume that you're just having a bad day or something, and move on. I'll keep it strictly serious until my next relapse.

EDIT:
After reading over the thread, I have some thoughts:
Tanner, get out of the thread. You don`t even like early Weezer.
Mute Monk, don`t be such a pushover. Raditude and Hurley are awesome, and you make them sound listenable.
Atob, I made the list you wanted of songs but it ended up being like twenty tracks long. I will continue to refine it.
Rest: Jackass 3D was awesome.

Thanks dude. Looking forward to it. Just listened to "You gave..." about 10 times in a row, in the mood for sure.=w= wrote:Non-acoustic, says the rumor bird.a happy song wrote:It has " You Gave Your Love To Me Softly" on it, which is worth the money alone.siptrace wrote:Going to assume that you're just having a bad day or something, and move on. WHAT THIS ALBUM IS
A collection of Weezer songs that I really like Post-Green.
WHAT THIS ALBUM IS NOT
A Singles Collection. There are some singles, but I tried to stay relatively deep.
A Rivers Cuomo Demo collection. Although Can't Stop Partying is here in that format, it was written Post-Green. And is better than the Lil' Wayne version.
Maladroit or Make Believe. I love both of those albums, but I tried to spread out my picks as much as possible. (Raditude got shortchanged to only one song, and Make Believe only got two :P.)
Here is the tracklist and the albums the songs are from. If you need the mp3s, pm for rar lol.
The Jaune Album
1. Possibilities (Maladroit)
2) Pork and Beans (Red)
3) Can't Stop Partying (Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo)
4) Pig (Red, Bonus)
5) Unspoken (Hurley)
6) Keep Fishin' (Maladroit)
7) Hold Me (Make Believe)
8) Love Explosion (Maladroit)
9) My Best Friend (Make Believe)
10) (If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To (Raditude)
10.5) Hold Me (Make Believe)
11) The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn) (Red)
12) I Want To Be Something (Hurley, Bonus)
13) All My Friends Are Insects* (Hurley, Bonus)
*Bonus Tracks available in rar collector's edition, 5.95$.

I like you better drunk, anyway.hairscapades wrote:So, I came into possession of the Pinkerton Deluxe Reissue because I'm a ratio whore and, this may just be the booze talking but, The Good Life is my favourite song of all time. I swear, I've listened to this album a bunch of times before but nobody told me how good this song is. What the fuck?
