I'm starting on thursday due to finding a group of people who do it locally, and was wondering if anyone on metanet did / has done / wants to do it :)
(I'd appreciate any tips from people who do know what they are doing)

I do very amateur freerunning. I'm not intense like the people you see in the videos =P
Basically, a couple friends and I run around and hit gaps, jumps between a couple roofs, etc. It's pretty fun.

I'm a professional at amateur parkour. It's highly painful to be amateur though.

The joys of slippery rails on precision jumps - I slipped backwards so flipped myself to land on my arms and my head bobbed down and now I have a partial black eye ._.
I have a real lack of places in my town though, I have to get on the train for 15 minutes to get to Cambridge to find decent spots :< (at least I have a year pass for the train)
Oh and tips guys: when you learn to backflip, don't decide that you didn't jump high enough and think you can drop back down and try again, because your spotters don't know this, and then dump you on your head :(

I freerun. It's great when you have a 700 square-meter abandoned hospital site. So many roofs, so little time.
