Well, love is always a two person interaction. As obvious as this sounds, i dont think some people realize what has to happen for a relationship to work. How great a relationship will be is not determined by how great the girl is, and it is not determined by how awesome the guy is. The relationship rests on the interaction of the guy and the girl. So if it turns out that awesome girl isnt taking an interest into your personality, well she simply isnt your type, but "there are plenty of fish in the sea" (and vice versa with the sexes)

However, im sure thats not what you want to hear when you want to go after that 'perfect girl'... all i can say is try. There is more than one person out there to fall in love with (and quite some time) so at least the world of pressure isnt on your shoulders to catch him or her. If all else fails, you at least had good practice trying, to see if anything went wrong that you could change in the future :p

How to get the attention of that guy or girl is sometimes the trickiest part. I obviously dont know the person who made the quote above, but it looks like he (you/ whatever) does not know how to be himself (yourself) around her. ASK if you want me to go on... (i wont be back on until tomorrow)

You see, there's this thing guys do, where they complain that women don't like them, even though they're a really nice guy, and that the reason they can't get a date must be because they're too nice and women all like jerks/chavs/those pretentious kids with the cool clothes. In other words, the women must be defective because Lord knows I'm never wrong. Seriously, why do they date retards like that? Girls don't know what's good for them. Clearly they need a man (i.e., you) to set their life in order and tell them what's what.

Surely you can see how insulting this is?

Even worse is when this sentiment comes with the rider (spoken or otherwise) that the "nice guy" is somehow entitled to sex because he went to all the effort of being "nice", as though being "friends" with a woman makes her indebted to you and that obligation must be settled through sexing you up. I hope it's obvious that this expectation is creepy and makes the friendship insincere - I mean, imagine if one of your male friends suddenly said "Oh, by the way, I've watched the football with you every Saturday for a month, so now you have to give me a blowjob in exchange." There's also the fact that many "nice guys" treat women as some kind of commodity, over which the douchebags and "nice guys" must do battle.

Strange as it may seem, most women do like people who are genuinely nice, just like most men. By suggesting that women only like jerks or don't want nice guys - real nice guys, that is - you're essentially saying that women want to be abused and mistreated, which is patently ridiculous. I've yet to hear a girl say she broke up with her boyfriend because he didn't insult her and grope the waitress every time they went out.

The "nice guy" is the next, more cunning douchebag. He found a new way, circa 1995, to coax sex out of women in an underhanded fashion. Now his tricks at sex-baiting don't work no more, and he and his fellow "nice guys" can act like they've gotten the short end of the deal--maybe make some sort of support group for other dudes who aren't getting laid no matter how nice they act around women.

Certainly, a significant portion are ignorant of how bad their behaviour is. That doesn't change the fact that it's bad. I also think that if you look at the things they say and how they act, in many cases it will show they are aware on some level that they're being manipulative, even if they don't quite get how creepy it is.


Also, I can't understand what Tunco is trying to say half the time, either. Is he using a translator or something? That's what it looks like, and I see that his location is Istanbul.

I concur. You guys say that we shouldn't be worrying about/looking for love etc.,when, in my case anyway, it happened by myself. I didn't mean for it to happen. Hell, it was the last thing on my mind.

Though, one could argue that I'm not experiencing love, just some sort of... attraction, or something.

Also: I'm a nice guy by nature. I think. That, or a nerd, goody twoshoes, etc. But I'm not a jerk, I hold doors open for girls, am generally well-mannered. Though, I'm pretty sure that I'm missing the point in the whole "nice-guy" discussion.

i guess for me, the love i have for my boyfriend is always there, no matter how bad things get, i still love him. lately things have been getting rough but its hard when hes away for the summer. but we are getting through it okay.

i feel with love, i cant get mad at the person i love. some may think thats stupid but i dont. i cant get mad at the one i love ever. i can get really upset and irritated but never mad. so i think that if you cant get mad at the one you love and stay with them through the times of heart ache and troubled areas you are in more ways then one ment to be ( if the other person believes it as well).
