To answer your question Awesome, a Paradox is something that conflicts itself, or doesn't make sense in any way. For example, the classic grandfather paradox (which applies quite closely to this thread): If I was to go back in time and kill my grandfather, then the very basis of Time itself would be shreaded if I was to succeed. As, if I was to succeed, it would create an alternate timeline where my grandfather would be dead. So, when the time came for me to go back in time to kill my grandfather, I wouldn't; he would already be dead. Therefore, my grandfather wouldn't be killed, reverting it back to the original timeline, where I would go back and kill my grandfather...

Confused? Good.
