HOT BUTTFLAPS EVERYBODY
http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/12/04/rep ... ext-month/

I am a cult follower of Repo man, and I have hella mixed feelings about this.

The script was written by Repo Man's director, which is good
It's being directed by David Lynch, which is good
Its working title is Repo Chick, which is bizarre, but okay
No word about the soundtrack, which is EXTREMELY WORRYING

Any other Repo Man fans around here? I'll talk about it at great length as I've seen it upwards of 30 times.

David Lynch is producing, not directing the film.

The original is amazing. This is likely a cash-in.

I hadn't heard about this...

I watched repo man a while ago, its a really cool movie, To be honest the movie didn't wow me, though it had its moments, and was enjoyable. The pine trees are everywhere. Every-fucking-where.

But yeah... I'm always worried about remakes of movies that don't need to be remade.

The taking of pellham 123 was awesome, the remake was pointless, adding nothing new to the story, adding some flashy effects, remade for the sake of flashy effects and a modern setting.
The Italien Job was awesome, the remake was shit.
The hills have eyes was awesome, the remake was meh.

Though sometime they turn out good... so you never know.... the fact that the original director is involved is promising.

The thing from outer space was awesome, and so was the remake.

Oh, I should say that Alex Cox is absolutely incompetent, a fact exemplified by most pre-Fear and Loathing documentaries.

I never really heard of this and I'm not really like "Wow!" on this either....
No, not a fan. Shouldn't this be in Multimedia or somewhere in interests?
