During his farewell conference in Iraq, an Iraqi journalist threw a 2 shoes at Bush.

Bush just new released a statement in the address saying the guy was just seeking attention.

Oh, nice dodge.

I wondered fleetingly what "Bush" referred to in the topic here.

Seriously though, I heard about this on the radio earlier...crazy. They were size 10.

I don't know, as much as most would want to have the opportunity to do that, I think that was a bit overkill. And no show of respect, for a man who has little left.

Woah! That is the stupidest thing I have seen in ages. And who new the president was that athletic. As announced previously on this thread that sure was a slick duck. And no, I don't mean duck as in waddle bird on water. :)

I saw this on the news and god did it make me laugh. It was a damn good dodge, twice! But who else would this sort of thing happen to?

The only thing that could've made this better would be if Bush caught the shoes threw them at the guy, knocking him out, and then as the cops are taking him away he turns to the press and gives a snappy shoe-related, Bond-style one-liner.

Oh Jesus! Amazing!

Apparently, throwing your shoes at someone is a sign of contempt in Iran.

The most important message I took away from this incident is that Bush is as nimble as a cat.

As I type this, approximately 50% of YouTube's most viewed for today is overflowing with the video clip.
Must've been the dodge, if the dodge wasn't there, and the guy missed, I'm sure only 25% of the list would be Bush.

From the shoe-thrower's perspective...

Bush is like a ninja when he dodges those. I wouldn't be aware enough to dodge when I'm considering how to word a speech.

i just watched that thing play, like, 30 times. i like how Bush just gets up and half-smiles at the person when he's dodged the first shoe. like he's expecting more ;)

This was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this. I mean honestly, who throws a shoe?!

The other thing I love about the whole incident is the fact that he had the time to be able to throw the second shoe at him before anyone did anything about it. Good to know that you can rely on your security.
