Just intrigued as to who has downloaded the Beta, and would like to know their opinions. Considering that it's running better than XP as well as Vista already.

I did and so far I think its great! Here's a couple screen shots of it. I would basically call it a vista 2, because it has a very similar layout with some bug fixes, cool new features, and a better look.

Actually, I was going to download it for my sister's new machine, but when I saw it was 2.4 GB it really wasn't practical. Not now, at least; we wanted to play with it then and there.

That button to the very right on the system tray is the show desktop button. I thought that was a good idea.

Oh, right, I wanted to know how this "window peek" thing worked. I read about it, but never really understood what it was.

Yeah, I also noticed it loads up and shuts down significantly faster than vista does in my virtual machines.

I downloaded it when it first came out. I haven't actually had a chance to properly use it, but so far, it feels like a souped up version of Vista which runs at the speed of XP.

Go Microsoft. It's the first thing they've done right in quite a while.

i would download it, but my dad likes vista (wouldnt beta anyway)
looks so much better than vista. how much better is the navigation for menus?
