Shaver?

Okay, so I just got one of those electric shavers with the rotating head and three blades, and IT HURTS LIKE HELL! Then I try out a traditional razor/shaving cream shave, and it was much easier and really got it close.

So which do you prefer, electric shavers or razors?

My first experience with an electric one scared the hell out of me, and I wasn't even using it.
Old fashioned razors please! But I don't really use electric ones at all. Whatever gets the job done.

Electric shavers do some weird shit to your face. I think they cause breakouts.

I use razors. The disposable ones. The ones that pivot a bit too.

An electric shaver once raped a guy I knew.

I've only ever used an electric shaver, but the one I have is crap, so I'm thinking about switching it up. Maybe try some fuel and a match.

I've been using a razor for bloody years (pun intended), but I decided that one of the things I wanted for Christmas was an electric razor. So I scored a good 'n fancy one on Christmas Day, and have tried to use it since.
An electric razor is quite literally a lawn mower for your face. It does a dirty, uneven job, but it does it quickly and with minimal effort on your end.
I tried to keep using it just in case it was one of those things in life that gets better as you get used to it, but I ended up switching back to the razor entirely.

Diesel, of course.

I use a combination of electric and blade, mostly because my electric shaver is extremely nice, and when I shave without an Electric, I end up not even using shaving cream, and that gets messy as Hell - So Electric does a better job for me. It does do an uneven job half the time, but I generally go over everything with a razor directly afterward.

I use an electric shaver. Why? Because I dislike cuts and pain in my face. Plus, I've had staph infections in my face, and by god, that caused me to REALLY dislike pain in that area.

The pivoting is key.

My electric razor cuts up my face worse than my razor. It's about skill, baby.
Then again, all Russian children are required to start shaving with a switchblade at age 6. Using vodka as aftershave helps discourage making mistakes.

I dunno about the "skill" angle, but I too find that my face gets roughed up by the electric shaver. It's quicker to use it, but it leaves me looking like Morgan Freeman.

You make that sound like a bad thing.

As opposed to it being a good thing?

I haven't bought or used a razor in a while. I have a trimmer to make it neater though.

Electric, currently I only need to shave every 3 weeks anyway, so I'll take the uneven face rape that is an electric

That's what I used to have, but now I have to shave every other day, so it doesn't do the job.
