Me? I'm chaotic good. Although I am fully aware of the laws and I respect them, yet I believe it to be better if a person finds it within themselves to be a good person.

Ha, I guessed Neutral Evil before I realized there was a test, and turns out I'm closest to that and True Neutral.
I'm a little surprised I didn't earn more Good points, though... I could've sworn while I was answering the questions that I'd end up Neutral Good or something.

I'm fairly sure he's talking about being criticized by Slappy for not using 4E alignments.

But I think we all know that the 4E alignment system is stupid. Seriously, you can't be chaotic good or lawful evil? What they're really saying that they think lawful and good are the same thing, but they don't have the guts to remove six alignments at once.

I'm a mix of lawful neutral and chaotic good. Nothing in between.

Whoah, there, step back on the train. 4e alignments, while perhaps not to the specific taste of some DM's, make perfect sense. They aren't trying to say lawful and good are the same thing, or anything near that. Lawful Evil indicates that you do bad things within the confines of the law. Sure, this can be done; dictators, stockbrokers, etc. But it's an extremely small pool of people, especially considering the vast majority of games are played by good or neutral PCs. Furthermore, a neutrally evil person, someone who does not go out of his way to disobey law and is naturally evil, is much the same as lawful evil, in that both have a degree of choice when it comes to breaking any law they like, whereas one would choose not to in all cases, and the other would choose to occasionally.

The Unaligned system perfect covers a bloated neutral system, and a want to do good well not necessarily following the law seems to cover both neutral good and chaotic good.

The reason people don't like 4e alignments is that it isn't as easy to characterize someone based solely on their alignment. "Oh, you're playing Chaotic Good? Welcome to the table, Jack Sparrow!"

Lawful Evil is extremely common for villainous NPCs. Clerics of evil deities are also commonly Lawful Evil. Chaotic Good is also quite common, being the choice of terrorists freedom-fighters everywhere. They're perfectly legitimate alignments which appear regularly and I don't see what you gain by removing them, other than increasing the conflation of Good and Law. If they wanted to have a reduced number of broader alignments, they should have used Good, Evil, Lawful, Chaotic, and Unaligned.

I'm betwwen lawful evil and and neutral evil. If it benefits me, I might do it. I don't go out of my way like a chaotic to cause pain, but I do take some morals and decimate them when it benefits me to the extremes. However, if I feel satisfied with the way things are going I switch around to nuetral lawful.

True neutrals are speratics that can not be trusted under any circumstances. If they join you during a war when you are losing, then you start to win, they join your enemies until the field is completely leveled.
