The correct answer is, of course, within a minute of coming out of the oven, but some disagree. What's your opinion?

Before entering the oven. Cookie dough is +1.

When it comes in a box of 11 more just like it.

Edit: Scratch that. When it comes out of the oven with 23 more just like it.

I agree with your original post - when it comes out of the oven. But you neglected to mention the need of a glass of milk.

When the cookies come out of the box, when they are crunchy and then you wet the cookies in the milk, softly, but not too much, or teh cookie will be too soft. If the cookie doesn't fit the glass, you bite a little bit of the cookie, and then make it into the white, soft milk.
When the milk is at middle glass, then fill the glass again, so that you don't have to shove your fingers into it, when the cookie is small.

That made me so wet.

*ahem*

Yeah, if there was no milk, no cookie is good for very long.

I love a cookie when it's all mushy, right from the oven. I haven't had a fresh cookie like that in ages.

Anything else other than right from the oven would be sinful.

When they're hot, but really hot - five minutes after and it's not the same. I also enjoy some cookies and its ingredients before they even bake.

I agree. Fresh out of the oven is the best time to eat a cookie.

Depends on the type of cookie... I find sugar cookie dough to be delicious, snicker doodles the best 2 minutes after coming out of the oven, and chocolate chip cookies cold and hard... I can't stand it when the chocolate melts all over!

Cookie dough is amazing, but I love a good fresh cookie from the oven, made from scratch with a glass of cold milk. I love a cookie when it's soft and gooey in the middle but a little more firm around the edges, but not crispy. Also, if anyone has had the chippers from Paradise Cafe, those are amazing.
