QFE, I'm having an affair with Opera. But I'm still married to Firefox (addons kill Opera).
I love the new tabs in Opera.

Chroooome. :)
It's definately not as stable as Google make it out to be and it has some weird bugs that i've never seen on other browsers, but I suppose it is still beta right?
Better than flock (my old browser), anyhow >.<

Already been discussed in Technology & Programming.
I use FF primarily, but I'm switching to Chrome as time passes.

As soon as another browser gets the Ad-block Plus plug-in that Firefox has, I'll make an immediate switch.

Well, I just started using Opera 9.6, and it's been a fucking train wreck and a half. I'm extremely disappointed.
On the first run, I'm greeted with
this. What the fuck is this? This page looks exactly like this in Firefox 3.5.1, IE 8, Chrome, and Opera 9.6 and 10. This is embarrassing.
The first thing I do is look at shortcut keys, only to find that most of the useful ones are Shift + F-key combinations, which is just plain stupid. They force me to look at the keyboard for each one of them, which defeats the purpose of keyboard shortcuts, and they're painfully slow to type.
While I'm using Opera, panels spasmatically spring into life and ask me to log into stuff. And I notice that even though I've asked Opera not to remember my viewing history (and cleared it) that the Speed Dial is already suggesting sites I've visited. I noticed this because Speed Dial loads when I open a new tab even though I asked it explicitly to load a blank page
instead of Speed Dial, but it loads Speed Dial anyway. This persists after restarting.
The catastrophic bit:
No webpage will load on its own. I have to type in the address as I would in any other page, but it loads a completely blank page and acts like it's done. The page only loads when I press F5. This happens even for sites like google.com, as well as every click I made to get to this subforum and start typing this reply. It's like the F5 key is a stick I have to poke the browser with in order for it to get around to doing anything.
Furthermore, you see that link to tinypic I made earlier in this post? When I click on that link to view the image, I only ever get a blank page no matter how many times I F5, Ctrl+R, or Ctrl+F5. Not only that, but both in the confirmation page for tinypic and the image by itself, the address bar vanished and refused to return until I navigated elsewhere. Switching up focus between the page, the browser, and the missing address bar (including with the F8 and F9 shortcuts) didn't solve anything; I had to Ctrl+L for a new dialog box entirely in order to navigate away from the page.
This is fucking ridiculous. I was looking forward to seeing some of the innovative features Opera is allegedly known for, and especially interested in having chat and email integrated into the browser, but it's a struggle to even get basic browsing done out of the box. To top it off, a brief search through Opera widgets showed that some of my most heavily used Firefox plugins don't have equivalent versions in Opera, and with the experience I've had with Opera so far, I am far from interested in contributing to the development of these widgets.
Fuck Opera.
Chrome seems nice so far, though, if simplistic. It doesn't have the plug-in support that Firefox does, but it's far less bloated and significantly more responsive. I'm going to continue playing around with Chrome, but realistically I'm probably going to stick with Firefox 3.5. There are features of 3.5 I still haven't even looked into, much less its countless plug-ins.
As for Safari, I'm avoiding it on principle because Apple is run by fascists.

That's pretty much how I feel, suki. I really do like how you can customize your homepage with Opera (edit thumbnails and amount you see, etc..), they need to implement that in Chrome asap.

Chrome. Google can make a pretty legit browser.

I suggest you to use the Opera 10 beta. Much better (at least the tab system is awesome, and it was the only reason I'd move to Opera). I've tried to find an extra for Firefox that does the same thing but I couldn't find an efficient one.
Yeah, widgets largely disappointed me. The only
useful thing I found there was a Fish Tank game. The fishy always died off starvation.
I've tested startup time with a timer app, and Opera was twice as fast as Firefox. IE came out as the fastest of the three... but after some tabs, it gets a pain in the ass. I haven't tested Chrome with the timer... but it'd certainly beat them all. Like I've said many times, too barebones. I simply can't trust all my websurfing on a thing like Chrome.
After all that, Firefox seems like the only reasonable option, with addons that make your weblife much, much easier. Now, someone do an addon that emulates the tab thingy Opera beta has. Please. It's awesome for multiple tab handling.

Never used it; don't know what to say. Opera worked out of the box for me on XP, Vista, Slackware, and now NetBSD. :/

Opera 9.64, considering downloading the Opera 10 beta, though I'll probably just wait until the official release. Other than the occasional incompatible webpage (I just switch to IE if that happens), it's got everything I need in a browser.

I use Firefox for debugging work when web designing and Safari for everything else. I would use Chrome if it had but a few more features, as it's reputed to be the fastest browser; until it does, Safari for me. Firefox is an excellent browser but opens slowly; anything Flash it displays with a slight hiccup every few seconds.
ON AN UNRELATED NOTE LOL

Okay, I'm doing something about browsers, as I'm quite bored: this week I'll be using IE only. The next week I'll be using Chrome and the next I'll be using Avant (ugh). Let's see if I can do it.
So far, Internet Explorer is quite slower when with 3+ tabs.
ALSO, ADS!

I used to use IE. Now it's chrome all the way. IE's shite. I sit there for like thirty bloody minutes waiting for a page to load I mean for fuck's sake.
