I've added Flight and Drathmoore to my friends list, Donfuy has a request.
Also, to make other members easier to find I put URL's to your names on the first post.

I couldn't find you. What's your username? And write your time zone.

Edit: Don't forget to vote in the poll. In it we will decide how many points will people get for a match once we start and I make a leaderboard.

Sorry, my account.

Sign me up. I'm creating a chess.com account now. My timezone is standard UTC/GMT plus Daylight Savings time.

I won't be here from August 30th to September 5th - does that affect things?

You might want to note that there are going to be people (like cheesemonger) who would probably be interested in this, but aren't here right now.

Okay, don't forget to add the others to your friends.
About your leaving, it's okay. I've planned to play one or two games per week (depending on how many players there will be), but it's more likely to be one. Besides, if you want to postpone a match it's no problem.
When's cheesemonger back?

I've created my account now. That was the most corrupt account creating service that I have ever seen. Ever. By far.

I didn't receive the activation e-mail at all even though I got it to send the thing loads of times - AND - when I tried to change my e-mail address to my other one, I got "Username 999_Springs is already in use". That is so stupid. As a result I had to create another account using my other e-mail address under the name 999_Springs_ and after all that, I have noticed that my computer has slowed down quite a lot. Not just the site itself (which is indeed too slow for my liking) but everything else.

In addition, I can't search the forums because the "search" button is completely broken and does nothing when I click on it.

I also cannot update my own profile. It resets whenever I navigate away from the page.

I'm adding friend requests from the links that EdoI posted in the first post (there's no other way that I can search for members on that site). I honestly don't know why the site has set its default font colour for text to WHITE and the background to WHITE. That is counter-intuitive at best. This site never ceases to infuriate me.

[Edit]

This is ridiculous. I'm trying to add friends to the friend list but whenever I submit a friend request the "submit friend request" page reappears again which means that it didn't submit.

[Edit]

OK, I tried it with both BT Yahoo! Internet and ordinary Internet Explorer and both give the same effect. Ugh.

Interesting, I''ve tried to add you to my friends, and the same reappearing problem happened. Then I wrote a post here, got back one minute after to a tab where I was writing you a friend invitation, pressed "Submit" again and voila!

If I understood the problem well here, you need to wait untill the complete page where you're writing the message loads.

EdoI, I've just looked at your schedule...

YOWCH.

It's simply beyond words.

How are any of us supposed to know whether we're free or not at 8 pm GMT on a Saturday in November!? Do you think that we actually plan ahead that far? Wow.

I think a better option would be to start all 56 games at the same time (or 28 at a time in two goes) (that is possible, I think) with a time control of 1 move every 1 or 2 days.

You're not supposed to know will you be free somewhere in November now, but you will know few days before.

You can postpone your match up to three hours before it starts.

Also:
Guys, we had a draw in the poll, so I've decided to reset it. Unfortunately things get screwed up when I change the current poll so I removed it and created a new one here.

In which case, I should tell you now that I can't do any later than 19:30 GMT any day, until daylight savings time ends, after which it's 20:30 GMT at the latest. (Yes, daylight savings time REALLY mucks things up.)

I just tried again twice. Didn't work.

See is it now any better.
About your account, is it okay if I make you an account (999-Springs) with some random password (which you'll change later) and send invitations to everyone?

I've just realized that you can accept others' invitations, so EVERYBODY send a friend request to 999_Springs_.

I would like to participate (I was on holiday for the last two weeks, thus why I haven't asked 'til now). I realise there'll be an odd number of places, but perhaps you could use a bye system if someone else doesn't also join?

I don't think it'll be needed seeing as it's a league and not a knockout tournament.

EdoI: I've looked through the dates. Could you postpone my Round 1 and Round 4 games by 1 day? Thanks.

I've just tried to put you in the schedule, but I failed. If you know someone else who plays chess invite him (or hope that someone will join by Saturday), and I should make the schedule easily because of an even number.

Done.
