I've been saying "Supper" for the longest time, but more and more i've been hearing people refer to it as "Dinner". State your preference.

Grew up with my grandparents (Being from Maryland/Pennsylvania) calling it Supper. I think when I'm old, I'll refer to it as such. But for me. Fourthmeal.

But, like, what if you only eat one or two meals before it? Do you scale up the numbering with each meal, or do you call it that because it should be the fourth meal?
That is, if you eat breakfast and nothing else before dinner/supper, which is the case:

1. Dinner is "Secondmeal."
2. Dinner is Fourthmeal, although it's also true than you missed Secondmeal and Thirdmeal.
3. "'Secondmeal'? Get the fuck out of here."

Supper. When I moved out to California after living in Colorado, people looked at me funny for saying supper.

I use Dinner but some times ( on very rare occasions i use supper) but mostly dinner.

And Lunch is lunch for me, even though i have heard dinner as lunch and supper as dinner. but it depends on what you are thinking because lunch might be considered the "dinner" because its the biggest meal of the day for some. so its just what your used to.

Due to my eating habits, I give names to the times that i'm not eating. Much easier that way.

Supper is to dinner what afternoon tea is to lunch.

Not here. Supper is what you call you third meal of the day. Breakfast. Lunch. Supper.

I say Dinner in that it is the third major meal of the day. I.E.

Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Supper, Dinner, Desert.

Meal, Snack, Meal, Snack, Meal, Snack.It's not too eat more food, but to spread out the portions to increase metabolism or something. Whatever works for whoever I guess. Anyway that's how I sort that out.

Calling tea a meal feels weird to me much in the same way I wouldn't gobble up cookies when I tell you I'm drinking milk.
