There is nothing to argue.

EDIT: Why are people voting pancakes?

I don't have a preference. I just prefer to alternate, though I think I eat pancakes a little more often, so I'll pick that.

But pancakes are more readily available in several countries, such as England, at lower prices. Plus, celebrating St Patricks Day with waffles is akin to treason. :D

Waffles come premade to be heated in the toaster. I've never heard of toaster pancakes. The time to make them is cut down considerably when they are toaster-ready.

Pancakes, fasho.

Something about the aesthetic of waffles turns me off, whereas a pancake is a quintessentially simple and much more familiar circle.
Plus, the ridges in a waffle don't really serve much of a purpose, more of a hinderance, really. While they can hold more fillings/toppings, the cake:topping ratio doesn't need to be more than a thin layer on top. The ridges make spreading toppings take a lot longer, too.

Both are good, but pancakes are always first in my heart.

[18:44:01] <Aaron> Lets take a different humorous approach on this one.
[18:44:07] <Aaron> morvone, choose waffles or pancakes
[18:44:09] <morvone> Aaron: pancakes

[18:44:46] <Aaron> Heads pancakes tails waffles.
[18:44:48] * Aaron flips coin: Heads.

[18:46:10] <Aaron> morvone, 8ball Are pancakes better than waffles?
[18:46:12] <morvone> Aaron: Signs point to yes

[18:48:01] <Aaron> High, pancakes.
[18:48:06] <Aaron> Low, Waffles
[18:48:08] <Aaron> morvone, roll 6d1
[18:48:09] <morvone> Aaron: 6 [6]

All the signs are there.

EDIT: However, I am anti-establishment.

/me votes waffles.

I don't think I can describe my feelings on the subject better than this quote can:

Mitch Hedberg - "As a comedian you have to start the show strong and end the show strong. You can't be like pancakes. All exciting at first, but by the end you're fucking sick of them."

I buy pancakes and cook them in the toaster all the time. You can get them in any supermaket of decent size, at least where I live.

Waffles, but the topic is too general. Pancakes with chocolate chips are the best. Or maybe blueberries. But I make waffles with blueberries too. Damn. I'm confusing myself. Oh yeah... gingerbread pancakes. Best breakfast I've ever had. I voted too fast.

Pancakes, because that's all i've ever tried. A waffle looks like a crumpet with holes in it, which is surely less than a crumpet.

Waffles objectively taste better to everyone because that has been my personal experience.

By readily available, I meant they're easier to find in shops. Personally I've never seen anything like a waffle in the supermarket near us.

You've never been to a Lidl before then.

Back to the topic, I say pancakes. Partially because I get them less often than Waffles, and partially because Pancakes + Lemon Juice + Sugar is a lovely mixture.
