My mom forcifully hit my bum in the grocery store when I was little because I was being a whiney punk. An old man saw her do it and told her, "I'll stand up for you if you go to court for that. Parental abuse, that was."

I was liberally spanked, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I've ever been beaten. I've gotten smacks, slaps, and spankings, and in retrospect, I don't think a single one of them was out of line or unnecessarily harsh.

Yeah, I've been spanked and stuff before. "Spare the rod, spoil the child" was what my mom believed. I tend to get grounded lately, though, in favor of physical punishment, which, quite frankly, is worse.

I was never spanked for being naughty, the only thing that I had was on my birthday for growing up another year. But I was a fairly well behaved girl and was only grounded ever once.

Personally, I think being yelled at every week for one reason or another was worse than the rare physical abuse.

A little sidenote, I had a particularly violent teacher from the 1st to the 4th year. The last one of the violent ones. She punished us for not doing homework and stuff (with a wooden ruler, that was burnt someday in the 4th year, hehe), but it was seriously fair, to me. I trully think that method should come back to the primary years (1st to 4th).
But yeah, when I talk about it to someone, they get all "WAT? YOUR TEACHER USED A WOODEN RULER TO BEAT ON YOU? THAT'S A FUCKING SCANDAL BLABLABLA TELL THE COPS BLABLABLA).

I surely was. Still am, but rarely. A bizarre punishment was forcing me to eat raw chicken skin. If I threw food in the bin, I would get my ear pulled real hard and was forced to eat it out of there. Never now, I've learnt my lesson. :P

My stepmother has anger problems. She used to spank me and such, but since i became strong enough to grab her wrist and prevent her from hitting me, she just hurls abuse at me for a good 20 minutes while i stand there trying not to laugh at the ridiculous faces she pulls whilst she's doing it.

I was spanked as a child, grounded as a teen, and then spanked again as an adult.

Well, I've gotten slapped, spanked, grabbed, and whammed (once), but most were deserved. Some were just anger and frustration.Tsukatu wrote:I was liberally spanked, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I've ever been beaten....

My best friend was on the receiving end of some really disturbing stuff. He would get whipped with a belt as a kid, and once came to school with a black eye from his father a few years ago. We seriously considered... intervening in some way... but we didn't. A bad choice on our part, yeah. Things have worked themselves out now.

In Kindergarten, or Grade 0, or whatever, our french teacher beat us with a ruler. I had forgotten, but my French was awful and I got serious lashings.Donfuy wrote:Mmhmmm, QFE.rennaT wrote:Ditto.Tsukatu wrote:I was liberally spanked, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I've ever been beaten. I was never even spanked. My parents just took away all the things I liked doing unless I obeyed them and got straight A's and B's. I do both now, and haven't been grounded in years.

Mine STILL take away the things I like. Whether I deserve it or not. And usually don't give them back (My ds has been gone for almost 4 mos., and it was only supposed to be gone for one.)maxson924 wrote:I was never even spanked. http://greenbrown.bandcamp.comPeople write to me and say, "I’m giving up, you’re not talking to me." I just write them a simple message like, "Never give up," you know? And it changes their life

just the other day while I was driving my dad was yelling at me because I kept turning onto the wrong street or stopping at green lights because he wouldn't stop yapping while I was driving, which hindered my concentration (also, I just started driving like 3 weeks ago). yeah, although I wasn't physically abused very often as a child, my dad often scared the lving shit outta me by yelling or threatening me. most of time it's because I mouth off or when I try to explain something that he will never understand. one thing that continues to irk me about his attitude, is these certain questions he asks, like today for instance, he asked if I spoke to my English teacher today. I said "well, I had her all morning but-" where he cuts me off and yells "THAT WASN'T MY QUESTION".Amadeus wrote:Yeah that's pretty much my life in a nutshell. when I was a little kid, like in grade 1, I hung around this guy who was a very bad influence (he once prompted me to throw rocks at a neighbor who was Indian, for that reason alone). he taught me the basic swear words and how to use the finger. so one day at the dinner table I was tired of hearing him lecture me (mind you, I was like 6 years old) so I stuck it up right in his face. needless to say, it was probably the greatest moment of my life.

I once did something similar to my step mother, but the events that followed probably werent worth it ;_;
