Are we talking in the literal or metaphorical sense?

If metaphorical, I spent the first 25 years of my life getting punched in the face daily. Now it's my mom's turn to spend 25 years getting punched in the face daily.

In the literal sense, I'd probably take the blows.

Well if that is the case, I would take the punches. Everyday isnt much different than the every other day im getting right now.

Presumably, if you could control the strength of the punches, then the person punching you could elect not to punch as hard, also. The clear logical solution is that exactly half of the people choose to punch the other half, who elect to be punched; but punch with infinite lightness, such that no actual punching occurs. I do this every hour of every day to everyone around me.
