It's barely different.

Everyone's going to complain and then everyone's just going to take it anyway and wait to complain about the next update.

Solution: don't use Facebook.

It's always changing and there are always people that whine about it. Embrace the change.

Move to Facebook Lite! It's what Facebook was like two years ago. So much less browser intensive and so much less a waste of bandwidth.

Stuff like this hugely irritating on facebook. You just get used to the new facebook, anyway. Joining groups will hardly make a difference, and posting threads will just not.
I don't mind it anyway. It's barely different in the first place.
LostTortuga put it perfectly.

I don't like how Facebook tells me what to do. "Reconnect with this guy: Write on his wall"

I'm not exactly sure what the difference is. I like Facebook more than any other social network, anyway.

Likewise, although I think that is only because each and every page doesn't look like shit *coughmyspacecough*.
I just check facebook to see what amusing comments friends have posted, and occasionally leave a musing of my own. Which, since the new version defaults to 'News Feed', not 'Live Feed' (the difference being the first sorts by stupid, and then second is in reverse chronological order), I don't like it, as I end up reading shit I already have (trust me FB, you have no idea what precedence I want to see stuff in, since I don't click on any of it, you can't have trend data on me).

I think it is seriously funny how popular facebook is. I am of the opinion kids think blogs and journals are dumb and un-cool, but thats what facebook is - a blog. It is a place where you post pictures of yourself and talk about your life, the only difference is that there is a chat function.

And that whole "social network" aspect to it.

Would you use that same argument for the new youtube profile page that applies to _just about_ everybody? I hope not. It's fine to debate or protest something like an update if it is worse

I'm jinxed, and I support this solution.

my main problem with the new update is the 'live feed' thing. Which gladly lite facebook doesn't have.
Im sick of hearing that somebody is now friends with someone else or has joined some random group.

To get rid of live feed and return FB to it's old status only news feed:
Go to the Home page.
Go to the News Feed menu in the top left.
Select 'More'.
Drag 'Status Updates' to the top of the menu.
Enjoy!
