I think she's quite lovely. I'm not sure about her music. but I haven't given it a real chance yet. I like her voice, anyway.

She headlined the free Saturday night show at SouthBy. I wasn't too impressed, even though I like M. Ward. She did most of the singing.

You already said you like her (She's cute).

You then put a full stop and continued with saying you don't get what everyone was on about (implying that people were being overly negative).

I would argue that most people are like this (though the cute part, of course, varies with the subject). Smiling/posing for a photo can be pretty unnatural, so even very attractive people are rarely as photogenic as you would expect them to be.

She's cute, but nothing spectacular.

The pic frets posted is very cute, but then I googled her and she's not thaaat cute.

Nothing less than <3 from me. Guess why?

Yeah, my profile picture was taken almost immediately after a cross country race, when I was tired to the point where my smile couldn't look anything other than natural. Maybe if I'd run a 5k immediately before my senior yearbook photo, it would've come out better. -_-

Most notable observations:

• she's goofy
• she's not unattractive
• she would give a nerd the time of day

There are plenty of girls with some combination of 2 of these qualities, but Zooey has all three. Unsurprisingly, this means that the main demographic obsessed with Zooey are young, socially challenged males. I've known plenty of girls I'd consider far more attractive than Zooey, and I've seen stage props with better acting skills.

Regarding her attractiveness, I simply don't see it. I never have. There's a simple, two word phrase to describe someone who looks like Zooey, and that is Plain Jane. She's even worse off in terms of sex appeal: this photo makes me shudder every time I look at it.
Of course, I'm also of the school that practically anyone can look attractive if they put enough effort into it. This means that Zooey, just like practically anybody else, can make a better impression when she needs to, despite normally choosing to look like a fucking clown.

I don't like her singing. I haven't really heard her sing in a way that lets her voice carry or show any degree of passion or emotion. She's been inexplicably praised for her "deadpan" acting style as though it was intentional, and as though she was capable of / has ever showed any other kind personality (or total lack thereof) in front of the camera. In person, she's aloof and distant, and I'd wager not particularly intelligent.
But she gets all this attention for some reason. It's baffling to me.

Like that Mythbusters chick. She's not that attractive, people. Not even close.
